  • Good one

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • Great! =)

  • Different class have been a 'Westie' since I saw the we close our eyes video that hosier and creme did. Musically they are spot on (then and now) coupled with the extraordinary vocal talents of Peter Cox they have to be seen live to fully appreciate them. I took my daughter when she was three to the NEC to see them she enjoyed it then, she is nineteen now and she and I went last year to see them and she was blown away by them. If you see this group performing anywhere near you, you MUST go to s

  • i thought a black guy sang this songO.o

anyway this song is still legit

  • best song to forget someone ledgeds

  • dayum and they still got it!!! :) miss the real music :) love the oldies

  • awesome it sounds like the studio song.

  • I guess that particular mic stand grip is a classic rock stance. I think Hewey Lewis used to grip the mic stand low while walking around and singing into the mic without holding it, just like this dude. And I don't know if anyone does that these days. :)

    Long live the 90's.

  • Awesome vid!

  • wicked voice

  • ACE!!

  • mint xx love them x

  • Real musicians! :D

  • They both look great......the years have been kind to them,,,,,I was never into Peter Cox......but he looks FIT with age and a bit of weight....lol!!!

  • I missssssssss them...beautiful duo!

  • I love these guys I live in America now and I miss home a lot I wish Peter would come and play in Indy Pete If you read this please come and play I work in radio I will put on a concert for ya

  • Adam Sandler is endorsed by PRS Guitars.

  • this vid made me smile, thinking about Pretty Woman :) Thanks for uploading!

  • The first time I heard John Mayer's song "No Such Thing", I was convinced it was Tony Hadley.

  • fab!! love them

  • they are regulars on the 80's reminiscence circuit, seen then several times as my wife loves Peter Cox, they are very good (they can play and sing properly), and actually seem to be nice guys. You may have to fight your way past a few obsessives to get anywhere near them, but you'll be in the company of women of al ages when you get near the stage.. :-)

  • He can actually sing. At what point did the need for actual vocal talent get kicked aside? Today's singers suck compared to just about everything pre-2000.

  • Still has a brilliant voice...

  • Go West is not together right now. Peter Cox is singing for Manfred Mann. There was a live version of "I Will Be Faithful" that's better than this and better than the studio version.

  • @ntbsam They have tour dates booked in England for the rest of this year. As far as it looks, they are still singing together.

  • @ntbsam They are together writing, recording and playing live (I saw them in Peterborough last Saturday night...and they were fab!!). Peter Cox is singing for Manfred Mann in addition to Go West (always his first priority). There are several more summer dates booked doing 80s festival gigs, they have a few Go West dates in October and then a Christmas tour with some other bands from the 80s in December. They've also got a new album called 3D out now. Details at their official website!

  • I freakin love this song,, for some reason i can listen to it nonstop and not get annoyed !

  • @eMptYpocKetSsHh You are 100% right that this is definitely a great song that I can and do need to listen to over and over non stop for now. I am getting over a psycho chick who pretended to like me, then blew me off, so this video hits the spot. I am the king of wishful thinking, but I am sure there are many other wishful thinking kings out there with me and this is our anthem. I would love to see Go West in concert if they ever get back together and tour (old school music like this rules).

  • nyc prs guitar.. :D

  • What a voice !!!!!

    Amazing !!!!!

  • It sounds like "I'll pretend my shit's not stinking" and that looks like Greg Brady on guitar.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 I agree, and I was there:) --

  • One of my favorite Top-40 hits from the very early 90s.

  • Come on boys! When are you going to bring out another hit! You've got the voice, look better than you did in the 80's, what are waiting for! ;-)

  • @GenieInaBottle65

Go West have just released a new album celebrating 25 years since their debut. The new album is called 3D and has their new single Skin Deep on it.

  • Awsome. I LOve it!!!

  • Peter is such a great singer. He and Roland Orzabal ( Tears For Fears ) are the finest singers of 80's Pop ( IMO ) !

  • hell yeah! great song! great group!

  • off to see him tomorrow night... can't wait

  • Cox is great. Perfect live performance. But there is good ol George Michael. He's got a voice but the ALL TIME GREATEST voice out of UK would be the late great John Lennon. But Go West rocks!!!!

  • @sudsmeister

That is probably true, but people like Michael's or Elton John probably deserve their own category as greatest/most powerful white pop singers of all time. Not a huge fan of Lennon in terms of voice only though.

  • This sounds as good now as in the 80s. Good luck to Peter in Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

  • Great song! Check out our smooth westcoast grooves /State Cows.

  • Wish you'd fall at my feet Mr Cox!

  • Pretty Woman soundtrack

  • I'll get over you

    I know I will

    I'll pretend my vid is

    Sync-ing

  • @fourplusseven And why isn't this comment the highest rated comment?!

  • @HomeStarRunnerTron I don't know, but thanks for your support! :)

  • Good looking arms and a better sounding voice. I'm hard.

  • LOVE it!!

  • wow they look great

  • they have aged well I see.

  • @Rushgoon1 They sure did age well.

  • @Rushgoon1 amazingly well ;)

  • i listened to this like 10 times i na row lol...

  • I also saw these at clumber park and they were great! They should bring out another single

  • They are! In April...It's called Skin Deep!

  • there are good for usa mmoylan

  • LOL at Peter Cox @ 0:32!!!!!

  • I saw these guys at clumber park (2009) and they so stole the show...absolute quality...they deserve another hit of some kind...all ther best guys...you so deserve it!

  • @Emgeegeegee i completely agree, but they were so defined by this song. The labels (once you have a major hit) want you to write songs (at least 1) that are closely related to the previous hit song. The problem is... as musicians grow, so does their talents and tastes. their label ended their mainstream carreer not the public!

  • one of my personal favorites...how could i ever miss this live performance?

  • Great!

  • nice

  • nice song!

  • Tony Hadley v Peter Cox!??!

    No Contest!

    P:C =

The best Male Vocalist outta the U:K-Period.

  • Saw Pete Cox today ... yeah he's still got it!

  • This is real music, I got goosebumps all over. This takes me back to when I was a kid and life was so simple. Classic.

  • I love these guys

  • Coxy still has it.....sing it out my son

  • this song gets me every time man.

  • i saw them a few days ago in henley/gb and it was fantastic...

  • peter cox is a great!!!

  • is this a cover song because i think iv heard it before but im not sure if its this one. thanks

  • Not a cover version...Go West is the band that originally wrote and recorded this song....it has been covered by other artists though!

  • heard this may be 17 years ago as part of the "pretty woman" soundtrack! still haunts me! this is music man... makes your hair stand!!

  • Peter Cox is so HOT!!!!!!!

  • bloody fantastic!! taking me back!! still love it now!! now this is music!!

  • did they sing live hmm

  • Yes they absolutely did sing live....this clip is just badly out of sync!

  • seeing them tomorrow at Caulk Abbey Abbey, open air with ABC and Human League, cant wait.

  • I saw them on sunday with ABC Human league heaven 17 and belinda carlisle at tatton park it wa AMAZING the atmosphere was great. I like all these kind of bands and Im only 14 people laugh at me because of it

  • he's STILL got it after all these years...can't say the same for some of the other bands i've listened to over the years.

  • love this song. great live performance

  • i saw them last night with my family at audley end,!

    they were great,

  • They were indeed.....even if the rain was lashing down!

  • great performance

this guy has a great voice

  • Thanks for sharing the live performance! They are awesome! I love this song!

  • PC could sing the f___king phone book and I would happily listen.

  • man, they still tour???? i'd go.

  • dude, me too!! Go West rules!!

  • Pretty Woman :)))

  • They were one of my favorite groups in the 80s. I love "We close our eyes"

  • saw them at blickling hall saturday night they were as good now as they were then, plus all the other acts a real 80s night blast from the past !!

  • yea..i think NFG catch the right genre for this.....im not saying they are better than go west but this song fit them right.....maybe,,,,,just an opinion^^i stil think theyre great i kinda like it..

  • <3 love it

  • Great song, love this soo much. A big one from the Pretty Woman soundtrack.

  • got to admit, this is better than the NFG cover :D

  • Great song and lovely voice. Go west always kicked ass!

  • I think that New Found Glory sings it better lol but IDK just my opinion.

  • gracie films

  • Wow!

for fans to sing the song to u at the beginning is just breathtaking!

How i wish i could write a song like that

  • awesome singer - awesome band!

  • My MOST MOST favourite music. I hear this everyday.

  • Great song. Tony has a great voice. Would be even better if the sound was in sync with the video.

  • Except that it's Peter Cox singing!

  • Talk about moot points, grubsmum.

Same messed up sync, different name.

  • The name of the person singing is Peter... as in Peter Cox.... not Tony.

He much better than over rated Tony Hadley.

  • wow!!! This guys are awesome!!!

THEY HAVE NOT CHANGE AT ALL FROM THE 80'S!!!

  • Can't be any better. Can't beat this 10/10.

  • Peter Cox, what a great vocalist, still sounds the same 20 years on. Excellent
