@PearlTionne Oh wow, it's been quite a long time actually. I learned this by ear back then, but I never actually wrote it down. Once I have more time I'll see what I can do :)
Yes, so I found out, it is indeed not a completely original Lindsey Buckingham composition. Even so, it is a beautiful rendition :) I believe Lindsey's father loved that song.
lol - no, I daresay Richard Rodgers didn't write a solo guitar version (or a solo ukelele version, or a solo kazoo version, either!) ... but he did write some of the greatest American melodies of the 20th century and this is one of them
just listened to your performance again - perfect interpretation of the melancholy mood of this song
Where did you get the tabs for this?? I've been looking all over for them! Any help would be appreciated

Really great performance, but-- the song is actually by Rodgers and Hammerstein, from the Broadway musical South Pacific. You played it beautifully!

Yeah, "This Nearly Was Mine" is a song from the musical "South Pacific".

not completely original?!? lol - it's not his at all - nada - 0% - it's all Richard Rodgers
Lindsey Buckingham may have performed it, but that only makes him one among thousands
btw, nice job!

Thanks!
Hmm. Yeah, he performed it and did not compose the original musical piece. I'm not aware of a original solo guitar version by Richard Rodgers though.
In my eyes making such a rendition of an existing song makes it a bit original~
But only a bit, as it's still a rendition of someone else's song =P

This in my opinion is one of the most beautiful songs Lindsey Buckingham has created, and you did an incredible rendition of it.
You possess an incredible gift, not to mention physical beauty as well. What else could someone ask for?
