His speech of the miraculousness of the Quran reminds me of the famous story: 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. In that story, everyone is forced to appreciate and praise the Emperor's magnificent new clothes when in fact he is naked. I personally fail to see any miracles in any of the Quran's ayats. They use a lot of psychological manipulation, and once you decode the pattern, it just fails to impress you anymore.

As an example, say the Quran says, "You should do X". You internally wonder why should you do X. The very next ayat states, "Only those who have gone astray wonder why they should do X when the message has already been revealed. Allah has sealed their hearts. The righteous do X and Allah has a place in heaven for them." So, the Quran addresses your doubts by psychological persuasion, manipulation and intimidation but it rarely provides you with a substantive and satisfactory answer.

I donot knw his current stance but in past. He raised from a gathering of jamat called "tanzeem e islami" of Pakistan founded by Dr Israr Ahmed, who considers Maulana Abul A`la Maududi to be his teacher/mentor. I hope Nauman has left his affiliation with the tanzeem e islami, Inshalah.

I was just saying that Islaam's position, as a religion, is to strive towards peace. As you can see in my other comment there, Muhammad said: "There will be many disputes and a lot of fighting after me. So if you have a way to end them in peace, then do so."

This was his advice. The Muslims need to follow it.

* I acknowledge that sometimes, fighting is necessary. BUT NEVER is the killing of civilians justified, ever!!!!
