It's a shame to see her go.......I had lived in Bastrop for many years when the mill was operational...Many people made their livings and retirements due to that paper mill...Like others have said, that part of Bastrop's skyline will be missed :)
Thanks for posting the video. I remember when they built this boiler they said it meant IP was here to stay. I guess they found it more important to shave a few pennies by making paper somewhere else.

I will always miss that skyline at the paper mill. saw it for so many years. it will never be the same here any more.

Great video guys... It is historic for all of us here in Morehouse Parish. The landmark of our "skyline" is gone. We must look to the future.
