  • A underrated movie.

  • I want to see Michael Cimino recut the film, utilizing unused footage, into a mini-series. Heaven's Gate should be about 12 hours long, not 3 and a half.

  • Can someone PLEASE upload track 25 - End Credits? That is my favourite track of these beautiful soundtrack and It would be DEEPLY apprecitated if someone could upload it on youtube. I would love to listen to the haunting melody. Again, it is track 25, end credits. Thank you!

  • GREAT Sountrack, GREAT Movie!!!!

  • This is not the arrangement used in the movie. The instrumentation was much more poignant and authentic in the movie. This version is pretty trashy to be honest. It sounds like street buskers.

  • @jegspillerpiano- I disagree!

  • I'm gonna try and watch this movie one day! Even though I thought The Deer Hunter was overrated I am still interested in Ciminos work after watching Thunderbolt & Lightfoot and Year Of The Dragon!

  • Wonderful music from one of the most honest western movies I ever watched.

Fortunately, at least in Europe they showed the uncut version of this masterpiece, which is why it was perceived far better here than in the US.

  • @MsFilmothek Indeed, the French LOVE Michael Cimino. I would love it if he made one final, ambitious masterpiece (Man's Fate anyone?).

You know, it's ironic because thanks to DVD now the only version that is commercially available is the uncut 3 hour 40 minute version. It would be nice if Criterion put out a Heaven's Gate package with that version as well as the various truncated ones, The Final Cut Documentary AND Cimino's running commentary. Thanks for the comment. Take care.

  • From the 1980 western film Heaven's Gate starring Kris Kristofferson and Christopher Walken......great movie and music.

  • Is it possible to get whole Heaven's gate soundtrack in mp3 format? Anyone...

  • music is great. #1

    Paul Pedrazza

  • Thanks for posting, I love this part of the film, the music perfectly fits the sequence of the horse and trap going along the riverside, past the forest, with clouds racing over the blue sky...

  • @B1llf I admire your memory! Yes, it is one of the most memorable moments in cinema. Montana's Glacier National Park is a sight to behold. Thanks for the compliments! Take care.

  • Rapturous music and a beautiful montage. Splendidly done! Thank you!

  • @JohnKoroly you're very welcome! I wanted to do the score as much justice as I could. Glad you liked it. Take care of yourself.

  • can you post the enitire soundtrack?

    Many thanks

  • @filmfanatic99 I am working on it. Like the film, it is an opus of a soundtrack. But not to worry. You'll be seeing more tracks soon. Take care.

  • could you PM me a rapidshare link?

  • Hey, fanatic, not sure what you're requesting. Can you clarify? Thanks.

  • could you send my a personal message for a link to the music for free?

  • Great video, nice to see those widescreen shots, i've only ever seen Heavens Gate on TV where a third of the picture was missing on either end, nice eh? I'll have to go rooting for a proper copy. By the way, cheers for the kind comment, much appreciated .

  • you can download it for rent or purchase on itunes. It's not as bad as they say.

  • @actonstation Hey thanks for the warm comments. Yes, this is one of those films that is truly AN EXPERIENCE. Sorry you had to see a butchered version. There is a widescreen DVD version out there and you can download it on iTunes too.I wish I could see it in the cinema in all its 70mm glory. We need more David Leans in cinema. Cimino came close. This film's milieu really accomplishes what cinema is supposed to do - sweep us up into another world. Good stuff. Anyways, thanks and take care!

  • wonderful, one of the greatest movies ever made..greets from germany

  • Guten Tag, Meister! Ich habe einen großen respekt für Deutschland! I'm glad there's still a small group out there that loved the film. Hope you enjoyed the song! Take care. Auf wiedersehen!
