nothingness stillness e.g all these things are partial truths, they do not comprise the whole Absolute truth. They are aspects of Absolute Truth we can dip our heads into. Because people r just beginning, words like this have the "wow!" effect for them. Speakers like him give people a sense of spirituality but no liberation & freedom from birth old age disease & death. The man on the video is propably still as confused now as he was on the video.
I would like to hear Mooji tell me that in order to be enlightened I have to do 10 sit ups and 20 sits up then drink a milkshake. You see that I can do. When I hear there is nothing to be done. What am I to do? When he says there is nothing to be attained, then what do I look for?
@THEGR8BIGM0UTH You are already enlightened. When you start thinking you already on the wrong. Just be and listen to your feelings and thoughts, don´t let them control you.
When he asked, "how can I eliminate myself completely?" I think he meant how can the "self" be eliminated, as in ego death. I believe that's what he meant but I am not entirely sure.
If I may, you seem to have missed the point. If happiness/enlightenment/awareness are things you must get, they are a finite things. They are circumstantial. We are not looking for the circumstantial but the forever unchanging though. So we are searching for the infinite not the finite. But the infinite can not be found or lost. It is all-encompassing by nature. You have only chosen in certain moments to believe otherwise. So to become free is simple because you are not restrained.
"Never been" or "Forever been"? I am myself no matter what I try. If I tried to be something I never was, would I be myself anymore? Seems to me the one thing I can't do is be what I have never been because I have been, will be and am everything.
But we are the mind. Not only am I my mind, but also yours and all other minds. We are simply not ONLY the mind and not only "our own" mind. The difference is very important.
hm... I´ve started watching those Satsang clips for about 2 weeks now. (mostly burt harding´s clips) so far i´m experiencing more clarity concerning the Self...
I think it´s helpful to ask what "pain" actually is?
It does have to do with resistance to something "negative", wishing to get rid of something... (continued)
Liberation from pain is not true liberation. If liberation is unconditional (unenlightened beings don't have bad days and good days, just days) then it can not be subject to a condition such as pain. Liberation exists whether pain is present or not. Pain is part of liberation. Don't worry about trying to tailor your experience so that there is as little pain as possible, just experience. Worrying about pain, choosing pain, being the victim of pain is what perpetuates your problem. Be pain.
Than, radical understanding is like a concept, a formula: "Pain carried = Love withold".
I supose I can infer that as the premisse "love withold" aproaches zero, the other premisse, "pain carried", will also aproach zero, just for the equation to balance out.
Since no one witholds love consciously, the ultimate question than is, how does one open the gate that is witholding love, so that it flows naturally and, by doing so, release the pain carried?
No formula. Just the simple understanding that the pain you feel, is the love withheld. The pain you feel in relationship, is the love withheld. And so on. There is not a how, but what. What is withholding love? No one gives love, but there's a little concept that might be withholding it. Love naturally loves, but if you feel pain, then find out what is withholding it. For example it could be a racist belief, or an elitist concept. Those concepts among many others, withhold love.
If Love is natural and the expression of Oneness, and if love is not beeing expressed, in the measure that pain is beeing experienced, what is witholding love is not just a "little concept" but the whole structure of ego, of which, the "little concept" is part of. This takes us back to the question asked by the searcher to Mooji that started this dialog. "How can I eliminate myself entirely?"

@devarsi I don't think anyone can give you freedom or liberation, but only yourself through your own looking...mooji is only pointing to this

Yeah, HigherPlanes, it did sort of come out funny, the way he posed the question.

I was talking about the mind. It is only but a tool. It is not what we are or will ever be. The stillness when the mind is gone is what we are.

How can I be truly free of pain
when I cant liberate myself when I live life day to day
I can liberate myself for maybe 20 minutes on a fine day
I can self inquire myself when I am feeling pain with other people or myself
The problem is that pain is present
it comes back and back and back and back
even after ive inquired into it and let it go it comes back again !
And then it sneaks up on me.
Mooji says "invite everything in, see if anything can harm you" Yes they can harm me even after "It"

how can I just observe a constant pain?
Observe pain if its there all the time?
Isnt there something I can do about it...?:S
How can I observe a Displeased "me" if its maybe something I can do about it?
if I feel uncomfortable with a situation can I change it?
What different aspects of social acceptance can I choose to best reflect who I are?
How can I express my "dance" if I think I am my dance?
If I dance and I keep falling and picking myself up?
What is the point ?

but what says that it´s "bad" or "wrong"? It´s the mind that´s always judging.
Deep inside I know that there is a way of skipping that judging and just allowing this "pain" to be there.
maybe it´s useful to not even use the term "pain" or "fear" etc. Just consider them as a kind of NEUTRAL energy that comes and goes. (continued)

Just like the dark clouds hiding the sun. but the sun (=love, peace, truth, YOU etc) is always there.
I hope I could make some sense of that ;) as words are incomplete.
Peace. :)

This is logical thinking yet the personal sense of self, the veil, remains separating us from Truth.

The whole structure of ego, is rooted in a tiny concept.
I am this...body, life, style, etc.
Mooji said something like this "Don't try to kiss understanding, let understand come and kiss you."
