  • kinda ironic the roll out date is 7/8/2007 lol

  • B787 Dreamliner is the coolest and the best airplane in the world

  • they are all kind of prototypes until they are certified

  • Boeing 747 400 is so beautiful and funny not this one hmm 787

  • Delay No. 4 -- another 6 month:

I think the idea of Boeing was not so good to outsource the whole production of the Plastic-Liner to China and Hong Kong.

Sometimes I'm asking myself what the hell did they present us during the Rollout-Ceremony in Seattle? Was it a Wood-Liner stucked together with tons of glue and paint???

  • no duh theres gonna be delays.

  • I wonder if that was a working model of the 787-8?

If anyone really work for the Boeing Copoaration please tell me.

I will know if you're not working for Boeing.

  • Another delay annouced today. They havent even started static testing on the 787. At least the A380's first flight was on time. There are still re-designing stuff on the 787. Its a disaster!!!

  • What the fuck are you talking about the A380 first flight was not on time. Get your fact straight.

  • yes

  • I was there on the day it rolled out. I worked on the program for 3 years now. It is the working model. It also the same plane that did the first engine and runway test recently.

  • Good luck anyway...

  • C'mon and kick me while I'am on the ground. Thats harsh. We lost, You won. At least win with a little bit of dignity ?? Hell, we are too busy trying to get the 787 out the DAMN door to build tankers anyway. Good Luck.

  • A loser complains as babes...

A winner gets up and starts delivering...

    The Boeing 787 Delay Liner.

  • We do have orders up to the year 2013...we just need to get it out the door. Seems as though its starting to move along pretty well now. Just finish all the stress tests on the composite skin.

  • Pelo menos nao e' tao ruim como aquele fracasso na Europa chamado o A380. Que elefante-branco voces tem ali.

  • they pay for delay not you

  • Well at least the plane will be safe. As a person who worked on the program, I can say that I am proud to have been a member on the team. Keep namecalling - but it is the best aircraft yet.

  • The most underwhelming launch ever !! For all those critics of the Airbus A380 out there (Which is a totally different aircraft - designed for different needs) How many hits/Views - even on youtube - did the A380 get. A lot more than this underwhelming aircraft !!

  • One year from now the 787 will be THE premier airliner in the world. While the A380 will STILL be too big to land at 85% of the worlds airports.

  • The A380 aircraft has a shorter take off envelope than the current 747 and requires a shorter runway at current specs. 15 % of the worlds airports constitutes 87 major hub airports. Plenty Id say -remember this is a hub based aircraft , not a spoke or point to point a/c

  • How many are in the United States ?? Maybe 2 or 3 ?? Its too wide for the runways...let alone the taxiways. Its weight is also an issue...could possibly do major damage upon landing...especially at some of the older airports in Europe. Besides when there is one A380 parked at the hub...I bet five or six 787s will be parked near by.

  • mrdavidjames is a smart man.

  • Thank You

  • I was waiting for the Dreamliner to roar through the crowd :) Run em all over!

  • HAHAHA....they would probably make the pilots scrape all those rich white people off the tires, and they wouldn't even get paid for it....LOL....

  • The airlines like it because it costs less to operate than other wide bodies. More fast facts about the 787 available at: aboutboeing787dotcom

  • this plane is bueatiful!

  • I like Airbus roll-outs better, because they are not so pathetic !

  • Tall ass body, but beautiful ass plane...If fuel efficiency works right with this, then it'll definently put Boeing up in the race for the better planes :D

I sure as hell hope they have intel processors and not AMD

  • Lol. Intel processors.

  • Cheap Walt Disney style crap. 20% more efficient, so what is so much fuss is about? When they make carbon wing to 777 it will be of the same efficiency.

  • don't know if I like the Snubbed Nose

  • With fuel prices rising, guess which company is best positioned?

  • I would have to guess Boeing??

  • problem with the airbus - too many passengers to deal with (assuming they sell it out, and its configured to its max 800+ passengers) the terminal space, time to clean, load, fuel, etc etc will be a big hit to airlines. when an airplane is sitting, it isnt making money. 787 is much more practical for airlines, i think boeing has a good posistion with the 747-800 if the a380 is successful enough to launch the 800, the 800 will be in the same class as the 380.

  • SOOO in conclusion heres some reading.

The first American look at Airbus' 239-foot-long flagship comes at a difficult time for the aircraft maker, whose parent company has cut its profit forecast by more than $6.6 billion. Last Friday, thousands of workers across Europe staged strikes and protests against an Airbus restructuring plan that will ax 10,000 jobs.

  • arsenium666- airbus and boeing are both very good companys yet airbus has dropped the ball on a380 soo much they cant rebound from it. i like the plane yet why do you insist on making such stupid statement as you have made. yes the dreamliner has a setback yet it is minor but boeing does not want to f up like airbus did

  • She's so beautiful.

  • boeingrules, welcome to the club, bro.

  • Roll-out: 07-08-07

    Roll-in: 07-09-07

  • They already fired the responsible general manager of the Dreamliner Project. Seams to be a disaster in Seattle. Quantas and Japanes ANA are already demanding compensation payments.

  • He should have been fired. And airlines that are not receiving product they were promised should receive compensation. Boeing is only doing what is right. At least the airlines arent cancelling orders.

  • A380 - Singapore airlines sir

  • Thank You. I stand corrected. Was Singapore Airlines not Korean Airlines.

  • Dreamliner Rollout: 07-08-07

    Dreamliner Rollin: 08-07-07

  • What the hell? How can it be rolled out 1 month after rollin? Anyway the 787 kills the A350...

  • The dumbass comment is meant for internetcafe111. not you dan10024

  • yeah lol

  • Dumbass cant even get your numbers correct(seems as though Airbus has the same problem)

Airbus delivered the first A380 today to Korean Airlines(I believe?).

This A380 first delivery has been delayed 22 months.

Airbus has to sell 420 A380s to break even....they have orders for about half of that.

  • The nightmare already began...minimum half year delay for first delivery (somebody who is believing that this will be the last retarding?).

It's somehow funny to read all this comments about the A-380 (which technological for sure has been a much bigger challenge...). Now everything comes back to Boings Nightmareliner...

  • Airbus delivered the first A380 today to Korean Airlines(I believe?).

This A380 first delivery has been delayed 22 months.

Airbus has to sell 420 A380s to break even....they have orders for about half of that.

  • How long was the A-380 delayed ??

How many times was its delivery date pushed back ?

How many sales did it cost Airbus ??

  • The a380 was delayed a billion years.

The a380's delivery date was pushed back a billion times.

It costed 20 billion sales to Airbus.

And, the a380 is bound to take a billion souls so don't ride it!

  • Airbus delivered the first A380 today to Korean Airlines(I believe?).

This A380 first delivery has been delayed 22 months.

Airbus has to sell 420 A380s to break even....they have orders for about half of that.

  • Delays almost seem to be part of the aerospace industry these days...nothing unusual. At least Boeing hasnt lost sales orders to Airbus. Remember ?? FedEx cancelling Airbus order and going with Boeing ??

  • What facts...? You mean that the A380 is reality n the marquet...and the B787 is just a marqueting product that currently can´t fly???

    LOL.

  • How does it feel to know that a plane,as you put,it "doesnt fly" has outsold your plane that can only land at a handful of airports around the world ??? And you dont even want to compare the 777 vs. A350.

  • i know that currently the 787 was launched using below aeronautical standards of securing. how would you handle the first plane of its kind that has never been proven, and is supposed to be built in an unimaginable timeframe. boeing will begin testing the 87 by the end of october, and dont come up with some stupid fact that somehow proves that boeing wont be able to meet the deadline.

  • And Airbus A380 was delayed how long?? Did they meet intial deadline??

  • for all we know, you could be some poor single nerd who sits in his little apartment all day and doesnt do anything but put these pathetic posts up. oh, you also seem to have forgotten that the 380 ran into many, MANY delays also!

  • dude, that was f'ing sweet!!! the music, and then the doors opening...that was awesome, they put that together really well!!!!!

  • Why do you refuse to show the differences in overall sales figures ?? Boeing dominates. The A380 will not seel well because its too damn big for 90% of airports around the world ?

  • We are entering October...and i haven´t heard yet any announcement about more delays...maybe it will finally fly???

    Keep Dreaming....LOL

  • i dont see airbus working on there A350 either. Sure they'v got the 380 on their hands, but honestly, the 87 can fy to more airports, is moch more flexible and preferred by many airliners. it supports both short and long haul flights and works with the smallest and the largest airliners. unlike the 380, which is a beuatiful plane, but only international carriers can use them at select airports.

  • Nice input apple103, these Airbus fanboys will have no response....they ignore real facts.

  • Excellent point apple! These are, indeed for two different market. The A380 for longhaul-High demand routes, the Dreamliner for longHaul-low demand routes and short-haul routes. I would still like to argue that if all long-haul routes were carried out with A380ies, sky-jamming would be dramatically reduced, leaving space for more Dreamliners in short hauls

  • I hope that Boeing somehow can control all it's suppliers worldwide (70%!). If e.g. Chinese, South-African, Italian or Japanese suppliers have a bad day it looks like here is shown in the Video. As Boeing is only assembling components it's dependence is 100%, and influence is very limited. The trouble already began, the first of many delays must be very painful after the A-380 campaign, rolling out an absolutely not airworthy aircraft kept together with a lot of glue, like shown here in Video.

  • boeing will always win!! u can beat the american strangth!

  • Nope...retards futurely unshamed reactions...maybe. IOL.

  • False.

  • The truth hurts doesnt it ?

  • Boeing has ALWAYS out sold Airbus and ALWAYS will.

  • I think its funny that it is somehow the manufacturer's responsibility to fix these things when some of these companies have own the airframes for over 20 years. Honestly when does it switch from being Boeing's problem and become the fault of maintenance and overhaul staff?

  • ITS all about money and business and US, as their companies only care that, more dolars no matter what cost, but the Marketing that they have is really incredible. Too bad that that is not used for good things

  • We´ve got a new point here...

Air Accidents Investigation Branch recommended Boeing in 2003 after the Helios 737 run out of oxigen and presurization...to change the wire backup of the air conditioning-presourization valve in all 737´s.

    Boeing currently hasn´t responded yet...so:

Each Boeing 737 is just a potential Killing Machine by lazyness of Boeing to change their systems...saving cost???IOL.

  • YEP...then we consider that the 737 has created more deads thab the whole Airbus Fleet in their service history:

    The Killer 737: 4.779 killed.

    Airbus: 2.018 deads.

PD: 3.272 killed by the 737 since first A320 flight service...IOL.

  • Moron. How many Airbus planes are outthere and how many Boeings? Friggin' genius.

  • Big difference in there...how many road car accidents can be blamed the manufactureer...???

    Answer...NONE OF THEN...IOL.

  • Let me get this correct. What you are saying is that EVERY plane ACCIDENT in history is the blame of the builder?? NOT the pilot??, not the WEATHER?? Also..are Boeing planes the only ones that crash??

  • And now the best: Total Lives Killed by Boeing. Boeing 707: 2733 killed. Boeing 717: OK. Boeing 720: 175 killed. Boeing 727: 3702 killed. Boeing 737: 4779 KILLED. updated Boeing 747: 2850 killed. Boeing 757: 467 killed. Boeing 767: 569 killed. Boeing 777: OK. Total Killed= 15.215 Updated. Americans like everything huge...WOW. Terrorist Boeing Strikes again...
  • while youre at it....can you give us the totals for Chevrolet, Ford, BMW, and Volkswagon ??

  • SURE, NO DUDE

  • I hear 1 single Trent 1000 is enough power to keep a 747 flying

  • In contrast to the B-787 the A-350 XWB will be assembled in a new way (>60% compounds) The fuselage (wider than B-787) is divided in 4 cylindric sectors and the CFK-panels will be fixed on a special frame which facilitates reparation of damaged parts. It also allows a better adjustment of mechanical strains and more flexibility according the size of different aircraft-versions. The A-350 CFK-wings and motors will be most the advanced, underbiding easily B-787-perfomances datas.

  • What´s obvious here...???

The 787 has yet to actually flight...??? jjjjjaaaa.

Airbus can build their projects and even make it fly...not talking about producing it into big scale...somethig Boeing has yet to show to the airliners...JJJJ.

  • Would not be worried about the 787 flying! They have pretty good engineers as well ^^ This said, I am a fan of Airbus, and would be much more happy to see the A380 successfully cohabitating with the great 787 to be. Different ideologies, Hubs and Direct flights. Who said both can't survive?

  • Tripple 7 is dead since launching the A-350 XWB-Projekt. At Paris Air-Shows they couldn't sell them anymore.

  • Boeing versus Airbus is one of the most hard-fought, closely watched marketing battles out there. It's also one of the most fascinating. Not long ago, it appeared as if Airbus had gained the upper hand. If Boeing succeeds in winning this battle --and it appears to be well on its way--it will amount to one of the great reversals of business fortunes. It will also serve as proof of the wisdom of understanding the marketplace well enough to lead, rather than follow.

  • B777 orders this year is 69 last month. The B777 is still selling. The A350XWB-1000 (B777-200ER competitor) is in danger bec. GE refuses to build an engine that cannibalize GE-90115B

  • The A-380 consists of 40% composites and also saves 20% fuel. The B-787 50% (most components are imported from Europe and Asia). The A-350 XWB has 60%. composits. . Why Boeing is making such a show? Airbus in it's most problematic year still has more orders like Boing (623:539), something must be wrong with U.S.-Propaganda.

  • Check your facts. The A380 consists of 25% CF composites and 1/2 of suppliers came from U.S. The A350XWB consists of 52% CF Composites, but Boeing's fuselage is made of monolithic single barrel fuselage, compared to A350 inferior CF composite panels bolted to Al-Li frame. Airbus A380 show is more extravagant than Boeing. Although Airbus book orders are more than Boeing, Boeing sells more widebody plane.

  • you need to play 808 state "Lift" song

  • Glad that I own stock in Boeing.

  • Things are looking very good at Rolls Royce. The Trent 1000 shown here is the only engine certified to date for the B787. Rolls is also the worlds number 1 engine supplier to the wide body market. All 3 variants of the B787, the Airbus A380, and the Airbus A350 will enter service powered with Rolls Royce Trent engines.

    Go Rolls!

  • Airbus goes l ike the conocrd...Boeing is what alot of airlines sure want this...fuel efficient jetliner, quieter flights, alot of space...This is the one for the world..

  • compozr hoot's whoo-hoo on utube

  • AND ONE DAY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION will use this beauty dreamliner for another INSIDE JOB !

  • superb aircraft. this is the way to go airbus are soo wrong... efficiency is the key

  • uh. the 380 is more efficient than the 747 which is what they set out to do. Compare apples and oranges much?

  • But NOT more efficient than the 787. Being more fuel efficient than the 747 (which began production more than 30 years ago) HUGE step for Airbus. We wont even mention the 777....ooopps guess I just did.

  • How can you compare planes when ones knew and the other was designed a while ago like he said. I like airbus but boeing is gonna hit it big with this and the triple 7

  • yea right compare an airplane thats been designed 30 years ago to one that still not certified... compare apples and oranges uh ? just look at the orders line up for the 787 airlines want smaller more efficient airplanes with this they'll cover more destinations for less 20% more efficient is money right in their pockets

  • Bad azz plane!!

  • brings tears to my eyes

  • that is one sexy beast lol

  • i was their in person to see it

  • Do you work for Boeing?? contractor??

  • Watched the whole show on live webcast.

This part got me at the edge of my seat!

  • Just marvelous is what I would say.

  • WSPANIAŁY!

  • can't wait to fly it

  • Won't be much different than any other airplane... Tight seating and hours of slow flight. Where is the dream??

  • Define "slow flight". I suppose your private jet flies faster?? The 787 is the most fuel efficent jetliner ever made and thats what major airlines are looking for.

  • It's like driving a new car. It's never much different than your previous one, but makes you excited and happy, right? Besides, that new a/c system can be quite a difference on those "slow flights" you mentioned.

  • Great looking plane. Sort of like the bullet train in front. I'm glad Air Canada ordered a bunch, it will be great to take some flights on it.
