  • Oh sorry n does the heated dc work better than jus reg dc w/o heat? N culd I get same heatd dc if I put bag ovr my hair n blow dry? Lol ikno sounds funny but a hooded blow dryers cost :/ thanks :)

  • @KeeshiaDoll- Hi Doll! I always feel a DC with heat works better because the heat helps penetrate the hair shaft and does a more thorough job. And using a plastic cap and blow drying will work too.

  • Im very new but im gunna try this hair journey becuz wen iwas younger my hair reached a little past armpit length. But now it wont go past my shoulders :/ so I was wondring if yu had any.advice.as to.were to start.. Im so lost n been yutube searchin byt its all so much n yu seem very inspiring ! Thanks in advance .!

  • @KeeshiaDoll- Thanks so much and I have a video listing the 10 tips for healthy hair growth and that's a pretty good starting point. Hope it helps:)

  • Opps typo... When it is up in a pony tail

  • Your hair is awesome! I just switch to ORS relaxer in normal and my hair got too straight! Lol. I look bald when my hair us in a pony taul and walking up to someone.

  • @blackCaliGirl661- LoL, thank you! And I LOVE when my relaxers come out super straight! My hair is on the thick side so that makes a difference as well when it comes to how super straight hair looks after a relaxer.

  • what strength of soft and beautiful do you use? I often use regular strength so, my hair is texlaxed and really hate it.

  • @butterfly9274- I use Super now because the regular wasn't doing it anymore. I would relax it and still see the new growth:/ I'm not one for texlaxed. I want mine BONE STRAIGHT! lol

  • GIRL your hair is soooooo pretty and long and looks really healthy.

  • @Kimsalley21- Thanks a lot!

  • looking good :) the flat ironed was a cool look for your hair

  • @kiuhy8- Thank you! I LOVE that flat iron! lol

  • Thanks I will try it this weekend

  • @lovelyerii- You're welcome and I hope it goes well!

  • Oh ok I'm new to this and trying it for the first time.. and was wondering what moisterizer u use

  • @lovelyerii- I use Wave Nouveau. Some people also like S-Curl. They're about the same.

  • Well I have hot six oil is that the same or do I need a different oil

  • @lovelyerii- Oil and moisturizer are 2 different things. Moisturizers nourish and add moisture to the hair and oils, lock that moisture in.

  • Hi I was wondering how do u make ur relaxer stretch for 6 months

  • @lovelyerii- I moisturize my new growth daily and detangle it with a comb and brush and deep condition with heat once a week.

  • Your hair is lovely just subscribed and ur hhj is an inspiration to me on my beginning hhj...keep up the great work hun!

  • @christak4- Thank you and I hope that you continue on your journey and take one day at a time. Your consistency will pay off:)

  • We gettin Bin Laden Money-mike epps voice nice hair

  • @sosweetyumii- Thank you:)

  • Awesome growth! Your hair is very healthy and strong looking. Good job

  • @QUEENTHICK007- Thanks Queen! Another 6 months is almost up for me so I will be posting another relaxer update video next Friday!

  • Thanks a lot for that sexymami. btw I tried the bantu knots yesterday and everyone loved the look. I hope you post a vid or pics once a month. Please don't get discouraged.

  • @janikinns- The bantu knots are ALWAYS a hit! I'm glad they worked out for you! And thanks for the encouragement! I will be making a video in a few weeks when I do my relaxer. Stay tuned!

  • I think your hair looks great. i just started watching your videos this week, I have gone almost 3 months without a relaxer but I live in Jamaica where the climate is very humid so I am seeing how best I can follow your steps. How often do you shampoo your hair and what shampoo do you use?

  • @janikinns- Thanks Janikinns! And I stopped using shampoo because I hate how rough and hard it leaves my hair feeling so when I do wash it, I use a cheap conditioner like Alberto V05 or Herbal Essence while I'm in the shower. I do use Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair when I do my deep protein treatments but that's only once every 6 weeks. I hope this helps and if you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask:)

  • @PrettyQueen20- I guess I was a little bit:/ I think I was just expecting more like it was was the time before.

  • Your hair is beautiful! I have been trying to grow out my hair for such a long time. I am relaxed. I have tried so many different products. I am trying to find a good regimen for my hair. Watching your videos are very encouraging, keep em' coming!!!!

  • @caramel021000- Thanks Caramel! I hope that you're able to find which products work for your hair because when you do and stick with it, amazing things can happen! I've seen it especially with my mom's hair:)

  • @sexymami1001- I seen the video of your mom. Alot of growth!! What products do you currently use? I am trying to attempt to stretch my relaxer for 6 months. It's going to be very hard, but I am gonna try it. I am currently 2 weeks post and have some new growth. Any advice on how to stretch?

  • @caramel021000- Moisture is the key! My new growth tends to be VERY dry so every evening I apply Wave Nouveau directly to my new growth and brush it thoroughly. This makes it easy to comb and manage. I also tie my satin scarf on my hair before I leave the house so my new growth can be "tame" and flat by the time I'm ready to leave the house.

  • @sexymami1001 - Thank you!! I will definitely try that

  • @sexymami1001 Wow your hair is so think and lovely. I cannot wait for my hair to get to where yours is.

  • @kmcl11- Thanks Doll! And keep at it because you can have hair LONGER than mine! No one says our hair stops growing at a certain length so grow, girl, GROW!

  • OMG! ive been waiting forever for an update! =D lol

  • @jazzyddrummagurl- LoL! Leave me 'lone!!! I'll do one in August:D

  • @sexymami1001 yess! =D lol

  • can u pleasssse do an update comparison video for your two year hair anniversary

  • @prettybrownskin92- Hey Suga! My 2 year hair anniversary was in April and I have so much new growth, it wouldn't be a good comparison. The best I can do is August when I relax my hair again. Sorry Babes:(

  • Hey girl I just subcribed to your channel but I have seen many of your videos. i enjoyed watching them. Just wanted to let you know that you are missed. God Bless you. Your hair is beautiful and so is moms :)

  • @MsSan221- Aww thanks, Love! You made my night:)

  • Hello nice hair what did you do for your hair please respond! And also what is your hair type !!!!!!!! Thanks I'n Advance

  • @27Deloris- I have a video talking about my regimen and I think my hair 4/bish.

  • lol love ur disclaimer!! I am a naturl but i dont HATE relaxer users... I wish we all could really get along no matter what our personal likes where... but any ways. i wanted to share a product with you... when i was relaxing my hair I used a wonderful Leave in replenishing & reconstructing treatment that bonds & strengthens the hair + Repairs split ends. Its called Slik Therapy by Biosilk Give it a try. I will b do n a review vid in July when I straighten my hair. ;) thax

  • @mikenmars- Thank you:)

  • YESSSSSS you do "got this" I love your vids, you've been missed :)

  • @Stylistaaaa- Thanks Dear! I'm still right here:) Hope you're doing well!!!

  • Keep us updated I miss your videos...how is you hair doing now

  • @danniesagj- Thanks Ma and my hair is doing fine... I'll update again in August... or a lil' sooner. (We'll see)

  • I love it! I know I'm late but I'm still here. you did a great job! I can't believe you did six months---that's fantastic. your hair looks great. keep it up!

  • @luvleechica- Thanks Babe!

  • You tell them girl,

you are in charge of your hair and thats it.

  • @onlinebabeful- They'll realize one day that I don't wanna hear all that. smh

  • so i just received your message. thank u so much for telling me that . i take every advice u give me to heart and im really thankful so thanks again

  • @MyMariej- You're very welcome, Love:)

  • hey how do u keep ur ends so trim do u only used the split ende only or, do u go to the shop just so they can clip them? could u please tell me cus i found u on youtube about 7 month ago and i followed exactly wat u said. needless to say i have had amazing results my hair is so healthy and long i just cant believe the growth but now i need a trim so they can stay healthy im thinking abt buying the split ender bt im no sure if that a good investment

  • @MyMariej- I cut them myself since I gave my split-ender away. I really plan on buying another one though. I refuse to go to a salon again. Their "trims" are CUTS so no thank you. I'll just take a section at a time and trim my ends like that or put it in a ponytail and just do one straight cut (like I did last time) There's really no method to it. I just trim when I feel like I need a quick lil' touch-up. And it IS a good investment:)

  • :( tear

  • @jnifera21- It's okay, Suga:)

  • thank you for being honest about your feelings :)

  • @Talia4worship- You're very welcome:)

  • Hey Sexymami Will you MARRY ME?

  • @buback80- Yep, come on!

  • Love the progress of your hair. Your hair is gorgeous. Keep us posted, don't go away forever.. Less is more....Post when it is significant...and YOU DO!! Love watching your videos. You definetly keep it real.

  • @readingteacher1168- Aww thanks! You get me and I appreciate that!

  • Hi Wendy, My name is Toya. I wanted to say thanks for making these videos. Your hair is beautiful. I'm hoping to get healthy hair like yours. Can you give me you regimen please? I know you say you deep condtion twice a week with queen helene. On which days? Also do you shampoo? Thanks

  • @lhogan6- Thanks Toya! And I made a video with my current regimen. And the days of the week vary. Depends on when I feel like it really. And I only shampoo every 6 weeks when I do my deep protein treatment.

  • Thanks for the relaxer update video. Your hair looks fabulous. Wishing you many blessings in 2011. Be encouraged!!

  • @carlyg6- Thanks Carly! Same to you, Dear!

  • Hey Sexymami1001.Just wanted to say Youre welcom (you thanks me for subscribing) and also I do appreciate your videos..they have helped me in my hair journey...My hair is actually growing, even past my shoulders which has NEVER happened in my ENTIRE live..stretching has helped me alot with this...unfortunately i cant stretch beyond 3 months..my hair breaks alot, i think because it is really dry and course (4c) i think...

Well take care and have a great day

  • @lovefromkimone1982- Thanks Suga! And I'm SO glad to hear that your hair is thriving! That's all I'm here to do: help my fellow sistas grow their hair healthy and long! Take care!

  • I just relaxed after 4 months and underestimated the relaxer I had remaining in the jar...I am texlaxed - if that. Think I will hit it up in 6 weeks then go back to the stretch...

  • @Lapreghiera- That sounds like a good idea. My hair used to be texlaxed but I like my hair to be BONE STRAIGHT after I relax it so I went from the regular strength to the super and that does the trick.

  • @sexymami1001 Naaah I gotta stick with mild and just make sure I have enough to spread around. I think that works fine for me cause my individual strands aren't super dense, but my hair is full. Plus I am going for color early summer maybe up to level 7, and I don't need my hair falling down around my shoulders and it not be from growth!!

  • @Lapreghiera- LoL! I feel you!

  • @sexymami1001~ I didn't get a chance to read all 15 pages, WOW! And you know I've got to be the technical one.....hehe. That was an awesome stretch, I think you made much progress. I was attempting a 6mos doozie stretch, but I think I'm chicken'in out......I'm almost 19wks. post, WOW!

Ok, my question is this, did your relaxer take/straighten like it always have? So many ladies that are stretching have complaints of their relaxer not taking/straighten like usual. Just wanted your take.

  • @blueandblessed- I use the super strength relaxer and that does the trick for me. I noticed that it was only texlaxed using the regular strength so I had to change it.

  • @sexymami1001 ~ I think I've figured out how to get my hair to relax bone straight after stretching. I clarified like nobody business.....And it worked. Thanks for sharing your tip with me....(after stretching for 6mos. honey we deserve some bone straight hair...LOL!) Hope things are well with you....

  • @blueandblessed- I know that's right! Enough of the KINK! Lemme remember what straight hair is like! lol

  • @sexymami1001 ~Now u got it all right! Take Care!

  • I've watched a few of your videos and you have done a great job with growing your hair out and getting it to a really healthy state. It looks so good!

  • @marray22- Thanks Suga!

  • Hey girl, I feel you with not making to many vids. With everyday life being moms, wives, students,etc...it gets hard. I love your growth. I would like to be natural but I waited to long to grow what I have and i'm not about to cut it all off to start over again...bump that. But I love watching vids from my natural sistas & my relaxed sistas.

  • @Nerak28- Thank you, Nerak!

  • Your hair looks so shiny and healthy, if I had hair like that I wouldn't give a damn what nobody said...

  • @LageishaB- LoL! Thanks Babes and believe me, I don't. I just hate hearing the crap. Like SHUT UP already! Feel me?

  • @LageishaB Amen to that girl! Continue doing you!

  • thanks for the update..... ur hair is looking healthy as usual and u have great progress. I'm sad to see that ur thrill is gone from doing videos but I totally understand. I look forward to ur future vids:)

  • @quenquen200726- Thanks Quen! And I'm glad you understand:)

  • Just wondering if you're still using Nu-gro products? and if not what are you using for a shampoo and conditioner? and also I noticed a significant amount of growth in your hair with during the 6 month stretch it evened out in some places and grew longer so good job with that

  • @ce426- I've never used Nu-gro products. I don't shampoo my hair because it leaves it feeling too harsh so I just co-wash with Herbal Essence conditioner.

  • very pretty hair.

  • @theocraticlady- Thank you, Lady:)

  • Is it the soft and beautiful botanicals that you use? Well if it is gurl that's what I use. BTW has anyone ever told you that you favor or you put me in the mind of Lalah Hathaway?

  • @d35chae90- I never tried the botanicals, just the original one. And no one ever told me that but THANKS! She's pretty:)

  • @sexymami1001 It is great, believe. Not trying to convince you to switch but it is really really good. I've been using it for 6 years. And you're welcome. I've been watching your vids and I kept saying to myself, "dang she look like a friend or somebody." And from watching ur vid 2nite it hit me..., you mos def favor her alot.

  • @d35chae90- I've thought about trying it but then again, the one I use couldn't possibly do any better so I stick with it.

  • It may not have grown much in length but it is thicker which is still important! I could never go 6 months without a relaxer though so good job lol

  • @luci5331- LoL, thanks Luci! Just go your limit and relax that thing. If it works for you, do it then, Babe!

  • @aqua7nounourse- Thanks Doll! But please believe that "they" weren't the cause. For awhile, I just like it less and less. The excitement slowly left. And then I feel that I've covered all that I could when it comes to my hair journey so that helped too. Thanks for your comment too!

  • I was sooo happy to see that you'd made a video! Ppl. SHOULD understand that you have a life besides making YouTube videos/tutorials. Gurl you hair looks amazing! Your progress is astounding! Someone commented that there's not much length, personally if I can see SOME length & overall health ... I'm good. I can def. see that your hair has gotten a lot more thicker. Be blessed & we'll see ya when we see ya : )

  • @MonkMonk74- Thanks Monk! And it's crazy how my hair seems much longer now but it does not show in the pics but my ponytail seems ling as ever! LoL!
