  • LOVE them :D

  • They are all available in spring 2012

  • Parece una nevera! pero me encanta!!

  • only thing i miss is the great sound of a v8 engine sound, or go to super cheap get v8 door bell wire that up to it haha.

  • they always make them look interesting in the concept that make them boring once they are manufactured.

  • And how do we make electricity childen? Yes, by burining fossil fuels!

  • love to have the vehicle many other vehicles will be very great and better in the future

  • why electric cars have to look like shaver?-.-

  • i like the battery swap ideea...

    good job Renault...

  • @alfamale81 better places idea haha

  • conventional looks????????

  • @ramblergarage if you're an American, realize there is an entire world out there.............

  • @deedundone an entire world of bad design you mean!

  • @ramblergarage do I hear an echo??

  • @deedundone an entire world of bad design you mean! I own a Renault but I wouldn't own that!

  • @ramblergarage It may not be pretty bu 5he level of technology as compared to everyones 1998 dodge ram around here, is outstanding.......but of course you must not understand that we dont have anything close to renalut in America. in fact we are lucking to finally have the Nissan Leaf, but without infrastructure to charge, and the battery replacement facilities would be an amazing idea mind you, it isnt feesable...........

  • thank god i can have free solar energy much easyer then north europe... lol, but seriously we have the first solar powered electric stations that ppl can use freely to supply their electric cars here in portugal yes finally the portuguese gov made something that isnt called taxes or make us all poorer, so if u have electric car, witch no one was, u can supply freely here while on holidays, too bad usa is being fucked by petrol bankers mafia who want to destroy free energy

  • ugly

  • they will or they wii.

  • these better come to America. You know they need to replace our gas guzzlers.

  • Most of the US and other industrialized countries use coal to make electricity.

    The US and China especially.

So why trade the pollution of cars which can be controlled for the pollution of coal which is much worse?

No electric company or coal supplier has done anything to lower the nasty pollution of coal. They just call it "clean coal" and lie about it's consequences.

  • @CoyoteMan50

Obviously, even coal-burning power stations can be much more efficient than current cars, due to Economies of Scale. Currently, each car is a terribly inefficient mini-power-station.

Also, better have 15% of the energy renewable (electric cars) than 0% (gas powered), and that number can only go up.

  • the best car woult be a Prius like car with a smaller petrol engine and with the ability to be charged on the normal power socket, I am sure they can double the mileage autonomy of the ZE cars but they don't want to bring out the best all of a sudden.

  • the video playing in the back at half point was more interesting then anything around it

  • Hybrid cars are actually better than electric only. If we change all the cars to electricity only we will have to burn a lot more petroleum to make energy and there are losses to distribute that energy. Besides that the battery is bigger and more expensive and the autonomy is shorter. Prius is still the answer when you think in smart drive. Two wheels electric vehicles are a good bet to the close future.

  • Oh my god, I want these cars!!! But even if they release them, it would probably just be in Europe and take forever to get to America. =[

  • 2:38 - 2:44 Epic #lol "...and this car... Em,.."

  • Estes automóveis, foram as coisas mais espantosas, que vi nos últimos tempos. espectaculares

  • are they safe....

  • I want one!!!!!!

  • two wrongs dont make a right....if u want to " save" the envirment and plants...why are u making a batter powred car who shows flowers? batteries are also bad for the enriment....WALK! then show me some flower that has petals...waite a min, u will not make " money" off that tthow! copies like this dont give a shit about the envirment

  • This presenter is horrible. Some rather interesting ideas and concepts diminished by horrible knowledge of the vehicles and horrible camera personality.

  • Renault, I'am realy imprest! With this change you realy earn the one and only titel.... Createur d'automobiles!

  • Kangoo luks like somthing from aplenty , the icar

  • and by the way...switching to renewables and electric transportation means a democratization of energy and sooner or later LOWER energy prices....because large corporations no longer have monopolies when you produce your energy yourself locally with solar panels, geo/solar thermal and wind energy...it's the only way to go!

  • THAT WHITE THING IS BLOODY UGLY!

  • That will not be a problem you will propably never get anything better than a bike..

  • If all vehicle switched to electric imagine all the coal it would take to generate the electricity. The global warmers know this is a problem, so their plan is luxury cars for Gore and his buddies and the rest of us walk.

  • @oilhammer04 burning coa'ls only one of the many ways of making electricity

  • Yes and it is one that the world uses a lot. We export it to China and they use a huge amount of it. If everyone switched to electric cars, the power companies wouldn't be able to keep up with demand, and they sure couldn't make enough electricity with wind and solar.

  • that's actually not true, power consumtion would only go up by about 5% for a country as a whole and that extra capacity already exists in every country...and of course everyone is going to renewables so that solves your coal problem...coal and all fossil energy sources will have to disappear within the next few years to prevent a serious climate shift

  • Sounds like you are on the climate change snake oil wagon. There are a lot of lies in that camp.

  • I'm not entirely sure about human made climate change myself but you can't deny that the weather IS changing...and it's a fact that we have to live in a sustainable way - no matter if we have climate change or not. Due to industrialization and overpopulation this is no longer the case and the natural balance is disrupted. We will simply run out of fossil fuel one day and a green economy is the only way to go - and electric transport from green energy is part of the solution

  • I'm certainly in favor of alternative fuels, but the nature of our energy use makes those not as reliable as nuclear and fossil fuel electric plants. Al Gore was going to put up a wind generator at his place in Tennessee, but I'd like to know where he is going to get the wind to run it?

  • Renault is so GREAT !!!!

  • it looks like a giant Wii!

  • hahahaha it's true!!

  • what if they made cars officially for game systems that would be SICK!!! like ps3 xbox360 and the wii car is right behind the guy in the beggining of the video. plus they're electric!

  • @Thatbirdwiththecrest OMG IT IS A GIANT WII!!!!

  • @Thatbirdwiththecrest nope. an Twizy!

  • @Thatbirdwiththecrest lol its just a car

  • Those are pretty cool cars.

I wonder what the buses will look like....

  • Those are some cool cars i would love to play my music in!

  • It even has a Climate Change system. 5min 59sec... hehehe

  • 2012 model nice car

  • ugly, impractical design

  • i really like these cars but i wish they would start making some hydrogen cars.

  • Electric cars will never provide the level of performance and utility of a combustion engine. They will only ever serve a niche market. Hydrogen technology is the way of the future that will allow car manufacturers to keep designing cars for all tastes and purposes. As far as design aesthetic is concerned - it is pretty much in line with today's dumbed down, plastic, disposable everything. Who wants to squeeze into and ride around in something that looks like a swatch watch? Not I!

  • so where will you be in the next 10 to 15 years when oil runs out..... walking

  • 10-15? whered you gett that figure from.

  • just a guess but 25 max we have already found every oil reserve on earth there is no where else to explore and we are at peak production

  • I think we will have much longer than 25 years considerign the fact that new energy sources are being developed and put into practice across many homes around the world. Alternative energy sources are being seriously considered by many nations around the world.

  • considered..... thats the prob its all just consideration. make a move people. make a choice oil will run out in our lifetime. the best we have is 50 percent reduction by 2020 and now take into CONCIDERATION globle population growth in 2020

  • im all for electric cars.... but they need to stop trying to "reinvent the wheel" when it comes to the actual car design. no one wants a car that looks as unconventional as those things. the last concept is good because it looks normal. the 2nd last is also great until you see the inside. whats with the seat? the ones we use in modern day cars are perfectly fine. we dont need to sitting in mini bath tubs :P

  • Too bad they run off electricity, which in the end still produces large amounts of pollution to create, should be hydrogen eh!? interesting concepts though.

  • So naive... Firstly, their efficiency means even coal powered plants will produce less pollution for the amount of travel a vehicle makes (compared to an ICE). Secondly, we need the EV infrastructure and eventually the dirty power plants will be replaced with cleaner ones.

  • I love the honeycomb designs. It would be nice if they brought the airless honeycomb wheels into mainstream productions instead of just military. Most of those cars looked crap and uncomf, but the last car was very nice. Hope to see it in the future

  • I'm an old Renault fan. Yeah, they tend to be innovative and fuel efficient. Interesting.

  • to help the environment and save money moron.

  • just when you thought that car couldnt get any more gay, they show you the lotus flower concept, roflmfao... love the scissor doors tho...

They shud make the car generate its own electricity when the tires turn... as an extra feature ofc, think about it.. the more you drive the less you have to charge yer battery

  • lol it doenst work that way. you use up thrust from the spinning to generate electricity. so you get slower. and energy leak away in the process of transfer.

  • its designs like this that keeps the electric down

  • There's no way I'd buy a car with a top speed of 47 mph. The Zoe Z.E city car looks kinda rad. that interior is beautiful and it goes top 86mph which I could deal with. 0 to 60 in 6 seconds isnt that bad for battery either. That last one is sexy but it reminds me of an Acura... but again, those interiors are amazing.

  • These Cars are 'concepts' they may aid car companies for new ideas to incorporate these things the cars are promoting into common everyday vehicles, I dislike the design with these cars they seem too feminine and gizmo looking, what buyers really want is a dull or plain look to their cars, to remove conspicuation, agree?

  • I have to agree, they look like big vacuum cleaners.

  • LOL!

  • though these concept cars do seem to be a bit 'everyday' to me...but I still like the design of most of them...

  • Instant battery exchange stations are just as good as instant charging. It takes 2 minutes to change the battery and there will be ample enough places in and around each city to have the battery exchanged using the Project Better Place system. It's actually faster to have the battery exchanged by the automat that it takes to refill petrol in a petrol powered car, so that makes up to eventually having to change the battery every 200km to 150km or so if you go on long trips depending on your speed

  • hmm when will we get a flying car?

  • wtvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

  • the third one has seats that look like toilets. fourth one is ok.

  • Hahaha I was thinking the same thing, they do look like toilet seats lol.

  • i like the last 2 but the first 2 looks really shit

  • Lack of endurance is why hybrid cars are better than full electric, you can't get stranded with a flat battery. We need to use most of the available energy savers; wind, solar, geothermal, Nuclear, electric cars, compact fluroescent lights, motorcycles/scooters, pushbikes and only watch the 50" TV when watching movies, not regular TV.

  • Problem is that full electric cars are still way too primitive to be able to replace petrol cars.

Until they have an instant charge and standard safety it just won't happen. But they look good.

  • quick charge high voltage take 20 minutes as the guy said around 7:00 so they are getting there.

  • They look so stupid, why cover the things with neon lights? Its garbage.

  • exactly.... what a waste of money as well as tax payers money, you can do much better Qantas

  • why do cars of the future have to always look ridiculous? i don't get that part

  • Well, radical designs hardly ever make it to the production model, so you won't need to worry about that.

I personally think all modern day cars should have some concept car aspects. Mazda seem to be the only people actually looking ahead to the future in terms of styling.

  • sorry for the hate but this is utter bolloks. car companys are milking crappy technology its well known the electric car is crap and not economic. the output is low and weak and whats the deal with emo names for the cars. The compressed air engine is way more effective and energy conserved which delivers 100% more power to the road than these gay shopping trollies.. listening to this emo harping on about this crap is like bugs crawling on my brain. : (

  • yes i live in Melbourne Austrlia...I think they should hurry the F#ck up too! Enough concept cars.! They are going round n' round in circles with the same concepts. They should put more effort into bettery technology so we can drive these things already. Its obvious that they are just bullshitting us around until we actually run out of petrol.

  • Electric cars are unintelligent.

Were do you think the electricity to charge your car comes from?

Why not just use natural gas instead.

    Cheep to run and non-pollutant.

I think that engineering electric cars are just a waste of time and resources.

Heck, the idea was probably suggested by the fuel companies to waste peoples time and resources on something they know will not work efficiently.

  • or they can start making wave generators in australia to power to home devices.....

    hmm waves natural

gas - chewing up the world to get it

we dont have large supplies of either gas or oil

we need to goto the cleanest and longest lasting,

we are acting too slowly to save this planet

  • I wish the car companies would hurry up and produce electric cars in Australia, especially as I usually only drive around the metro area.

  • yeh true, but they need to work out a way to also make them last longer, like drive on open highways

  • I wish they would actually produce some electric cars rather than creating uselfess concepts. Electric is great (better than petrol by 1 million). Just hurry up and produce!

  • they need to figure out how to screw us on the price of electricity before they release the cars :P

  • @dcampbell84 In did! you got it! :)

  • @dcampbell84 hahaha Yes! Ive been saying that exact same thing. This planets ridiculous

  • useless for australians...160kms?? you would have to recharge 7-8 time from melbourne to sydney!

  • not all of us do melbourne 2 sydney..... and if your driving that distance, your on the highway therefore an internal combustion engine is much better for you anyway.

  • they are not FOR highway travel, they are for day to day commuting, if you want to travell interstate get a plane ticket or catch a bus :D

  • I absolutely agree with SideburnerSol, the future is electric

  • Hilarious, if i go on holiday I have to drive for 160km then wait 4 hours, drive another 160km then wait another 4 hours then drive another 160kms..... Sorry do not want.

  • I suppose you'd stick with internal combustion for long trips. As the guy said, these are 'for town'. I'm sure longer life or secondary batteries are not far away. Just wish these things were already available.

  • Very interesting designs. Looks like Tesla may have some competition. The future is electric!
