the original kicks the crap out of this version. I wonder if the 'selecta!' sample was added to capitalise on the success of 'rewind' by artful dodger... still this version did pretty well for Mr Bias, so fair play!

@KamKomissioner This version is known as Neighbourhood 2k. It came out in 2000 on Locked On Records and had a bright orange sleeve. The original also came out on Locked On but was released in 1999 and had a gray sleeve. Musically there are several differences, the main one being there was no singing on the verse on the original. It goes for a lot of money these days. Someone uploaded it to youtube a while back but looks like it has been taken down. It's the best version IMO

I can see how 2-step garage like this influenced dubstep. In fact, a lot of tracks coming out of the 'dubstep' scene by artists like Synkro, Burial, Phaeleh and others could be technically classed as 2-step if people knew about it. It's interesting tracing the evolution and influence of genres on each other :) The UK is a pretty good place for electronic music, glad I'm here.
