  • So can you flood a motorcycle by pumping the throttle before you start it? I wouldnt think so since they all ususally have a vacuum on the petcock and its not squirting fuel into the cylinders..

  • just bought this same bike for $55 at a redneck auction...... i had to replace the ignition coil, because the guy i bought it from had a hot wire he put in him self directly from the battery tapping into the coil..... any idea why he would have done that?

  • I Love Old Bikes...

  • sounds like a chainsaw

    happy trails,

    Tom./

  • does anyonw know where i can get one of these?

  • i just bought one of those bad boys for $100! but it doesnt idle and the lights dont turn on but it starts and runs a little bit! lol. where should i start to fix up this bad boy like yours?? where do you get your parts?? you can see mine in my videos

  • Pull the cover off the right side of the engine to access the carb, remove it and take it apart, dip the solid parts in cleaner (put anything rubber aside), soak for 24 hours, blow out the passages with compressed air, put it back together and resintall. On the exhaust pipe, remove the baffle at the very end of the pipe and replace the fiberglass wrapping. Parts are available at Kawasaki dealerships/ Good Luck.

  • Love how he blips the throttle before starting!

  • It helps to pump a little fuel into the combustion chamber, starts easier that way.

  • They sale carbs with accelerator pumps but I boubt they sell them for ke100.

  • Problem is that carb does not have an accelerator pump, so twisting the throttle with the engine off does nothing at all. Dont believe me? Ask around, its a 2 stroke, most 2 strokes dont.

  • Its a holdover habit from my streetbikes, I always give the throttle a twist prior to starting to move gas into the chamber.

  • Thats a tight bike. I hope you didnt rebuild the motor and rev the fuck out of it like you just did it you really did rebuild the motor. Nice bike though get more videos. What are the snowmobiles in the background?

  • I only rebuilt the topend, not the bottom. As much as I've ridden it now I haven't noticed the crank seals being a problem so I won't mess with them.

Thanks for the compliment, btw I am in Florida so no such thing as snowmobiles here.

  • I hate to tell you this, but it doesnt matter if you rebuild the top or bottom or both. If you rev it like that the rings arent going to seat properly and could possibly score the shit out or your cylindar if the piston expands faster than the cyl because of the cold start and not properly warming it up. My bad on the snowmobiles I thought I saw some. Make more videos of you riding it.
