  • A true musucian , fashion icon, pin boy to the girls I went to school with. Still go back to this stuff - happy days RIP Steve.

  • Haha! I struck a nerve amongst you sheep! Go play GTA and stop pretending you know music.

  • MOD

  • Loving it. So many of the SF vids out there are of TV lip syncing that it is downright refreshing to see an actual performance. Thanks for posting!

  • Little Mr. Soul, big voice cool MOD!

  • Mr Marriott, what a geezer, he can't put a beautifully shod foot wrong, in my humble opinion!

  • Ive killed do many guys in gta, NO ONE is more gangsta than me. I KNOW what gangsta is and THIS aint gangsta.

  • @Heisenberg85 ain't it past your bedtime now?

Listen to the band and stop talking bullshit you moron

  • @Heisenberg85:

How long have you known that your brain and your asshole were switched at birth?

  • @Heisenberg85 <---- is a sod.

  • Lol

  • @Heisenberg85 <---was dropped on his head while very young.

  • @Heisenberg85 And you're exactly what is wrong with the world today.

  • @Heisenberg85 we can't wait until you pass puberty when will that be 6 or 7 years from now? until go back into your corner like a good little POS and keep your uneducated comments to yourself.

  • Small face but mega voice!! post a better vocal if you can.xx

  • bless him. Saw them Ashton Palais de dance 1964, Superb, stood on chairs as a teenager!

    So sad how Steve died.

  • bass"? guitar ? who cares ? this guy (steve) wails on his vocals, and its

    All or Nothing...awwwww yeahhhh !

  • Love it how Ronnie hit the bass strings as if he was doing a guitar solo. lml

  • How groovy is this? Very!

  • elvis wrote this in his bunker whilst eating a burger

  • dig Steve, paul McCartney, Keith Moon and (bass -???)

    that's enough

  • it's 10 25am here in new york...and i have yet to go to sleep because I can't stop watching their videos.

  • Comment removed

  • @robertemmet321 I see your comment war removed, but it still came through on my email.... I am glad someone shares my dilema!

  • Either Steve Marriot's guitar is huge or he really was small.

  • @gracedifford He was barely 5'4" and about 110 pounds here.

  • that one person who disliked this song obviously pressed it by accident! you are forgiven...

  • Yes yes, Mando Diao is a swedish group, they must have been inspired by Small Faces

  • Come On Children!

  • RIP Stevie 20 years ago yesterday! Marriott died on April 20, 1991 when a fire thought to have been caused by a cigarette swept through his 16th-century home in Arkesden, Essex.

  • One of the great lost British Invasion classics, and ironically their only UK #1. Britpop at its finest, and Steve was just 19!

  • @kinglouiebee

The Small Faces weren't really British Invasion - they didnt make a dent in the States (I dont think they ever toured there). The Americans just didnt 'get' the Mods; not even the Who ever charted there until Tommy, though they did play the Monterey Festival in '67. Now obscure mod bands were, however, big in Europe where they got airtime, as this clip shows. Most are criminally underrated today.

  • @DoctorBohr You're 100% right Doctor! In fact they only played one date in the US on Jan 14, 1969 at The Fillmore East in NYC. A month later, Marriot left and The Small Faces were no more, with Lane, McLagen and Jones reappearing in June with Ron Wood and that bloke from Highgate (yeah that Rod fella) as The Faces.

  • This is totally the dog's bollocks!

  • I still marvel at that man's voice

  • The lead singer has soul! He sounds very so black. Exceptional vocals!

  • @deeder2000 on close inspection he is definately white as are the rest of the band and wow they got soul!

  • there should be a 'love' button for songs like this.

  • thx for the upload. so rare to come across an actual "live" performance and not a mimed one. stevie was god, no doubt.

  • The original Dodge (Artful Dodger)...I would have loved to have seen them at the Ruskin arms all those years ago,but I was to young...But this will do very nicely thanks..

  • They were/are great!

  • @sgbr76 They were the thing in 1965-1969!

  • Everyone raves on about Lennon/Mcartney, but Lane/Marriot will - in the future - be a more iconic (ie.less commercial - and thus less boring) symbol of 1960s and 70s. Miss you guys !

  • totaly agree love lennon and mcatney but these hardly get a mentioning

  • @davekay040851 I agree. The Small Faces' destiny has yet to be fully played out.

  • @davekay040851 Come on, just cos they were around at the same time, doesnt mean they are comparable! They played completely different music! Why not start comparing Dusty Springfield to Jimi Hendrix while you're at it! You have to remember the Beatles set the trend for what you say is 'commercial' then others followed....and I love the small faces to bits, but there were A LOT of bands doing the R&B sound..it was very 'commercial' in the mid 60s....albeit not as good as these boys! Enjoy it all

  • "Come on Children"...and I did....

    R.I.P. Steve& Ronnie.

    Grandma, Eire.

    Thanks for posting.

  • If someone ever makes a feature film about the Small Faces story of brilliance and tragedy, I think it should be called "Come On, Children!" In how many different songs did Steve shout out that battle cry?

    Brilliant footage. Thanks.

  • @Diceydee

    Brilliant comment!

  • Fukkin hell!

  • wow, this is in a very good quality, thanks for uploading
