  • Thank god that 'instructor' had nothing to do with my MP12 all those years ago.....

  • i guess you were like floating on a cloud :-D

  • how old d'you have to be to drive it?

  • driver for a fiver awsome, only problem is they never seem to let anyone thrash the 37 up on these driver courses

  • Wow i've driven one of those on Trainz but they put the brakes the wrong way round on there!

  • @matthew376 Trainz is all wrong anyway, especially the sound. Railworks really gives you a feel of really driving one. No power felt in you though =P

  • Wow, that looks totally cool... ;)

  • Nice, cant wait till i get driving on the Main line

  • @EWS60500 NICE!! give some good toneage to spotters and you'll be a legend on Youtube =D!!

  • Great vid shame about your mate messing about. Anyone could have stepped out infront of you there.

  • AWESOME

  • This reminds me very much of having a bash at driving 37109 about nine months ago at the ELR... What a day that were...

    5*

  • I would recommend a trip down to Bodmin and Wenford on a driver exp day . Took their 37 in BR blue , light engine twice and with ecs twice which was great as its a full power thrash out of Bodmin Parkway (after the 5mph slack ) up the hill to Colsloggett Halt . Happy days .

  • Top stuff guys! 5* & Fav'd

  • Wow that looked brilliant, made me want a blast at it and Im not a train driver or a spotter, I do like trains mind.......

  • I loved your vid! Its the cainines gonads!! I am real gutted I missed out on this! I love driving 37's at these events and heres a Vid response of me driving 109 at the East Lancs.... Directional controller in 'foward', Proportional brake in 'Running', powerhandle 'on', straight air 'off' Powerhandle wide open! HELLFIRE!!

  • Hi Kev, Yeap this was my first go at driving a 37. It's a shame my m8 did'nt film the second and third goes. The Last trip was the best, Full throttle for 5 secs...HELLFIRE through the passing loop and feeling all that power.. Beats Rail Simulator..lol

  • Coolio! Thats another thing ticked off the list of things to do. Great Fun!

  • Hi Martin, I missed the visit to SDR for Driving The Pannier. May be next time..

  • Musta been fun to drive the old big tractor! I bet it must of been a challenge to know the controls and mechanisms!

  • Hi Ryan, The hardest part is doing it all in the right order. We had three goes each. The last go I opened the throttle to Maxium. Hellfire!!!!!!! just for 5 secs. The sound was Heaven!!!!!!!

  • Wow lucky guys, big respect to you. What a day you guys must of had.:-) Cheers

  • Hi Iain, We got to the station at around 9.45am and booked the "Driver for a Fiver" straight away, 4 people already had booked in front so we went for a ride down and back. I very nice Railway to go to 25MPH speed.. Lovely.. Loads of Thrashing..

  • As Mr Zontar Deltic would say Trash my beauty, Thrash for daddy!! :-) Cheers

  • Very nice, I bet you enjoyed that Ian!

  • Hi Joshua, Oh yes, It was worth the 3 hour's journey up and 3 hours back. Looking forward to my next go..

  • Yeah the GWSR is a fab line, espically because of it being an ex mainline

  • well done, wat an experience it must have been, 5/5
