I'm curious. How do you know it's a canadien hairless and not a peterbald or sphynx? I thought they were just different names for the same type of cat.
I remember hearing that a cat was found in Canada by a vet who decided to breed it with a hairless cat from Russia, thus the sphynx was born. In any case it's a mutation that mother nature couldn't repair. Usually a mutation will correct itself in a generation or two so the hairless cat is truly a freak of nature.
