Oh my god, yes, this dance is a bit intense for a 5 year old. If I was five and was watching this, I'd probably feel like there was something going on that I was unaware of, and I'd feel a little confused and weirded out. The music is fantastic, the choreography is great, but I think it's silly to not think for one second that the nudity and implied rape would be a bit much for a younger person.
Excellent music. (One version on here that has just that.)
Innovative choreography. (Some versions arguably do better at that and, maybe as a result, rely less on exploitation.)
The theme. If your intent is to show this piece as a precursor to mondo films, and that excellent music or a work's age do not guarantee it's not exploitative, fine; just have a tutor around to provide that context.
@Azundris The Pina Bausch Sacred Dance is excellent, as well; savagely done, and good sound (for a change). What's interesting here, too, is how the dance ends well after the music does. These are amazing dancers.

Artistic vision know no bounds and just when you thought you'd seen it all, someone goes and does something gloriously shocking as Stravinsky's music itself must have seemed at its riotous premier! 5 stars comes nowhere near expressing my admiration for the Angelin's vision and this dancers awesome talent, courage and dedication. This is one very grateful viewer. Now I must see the whole ballet.
Every time I view this I just think how much Stravinsky would have loved this performance. There are several photos of Stravinsky in the nude and I am sure he would have liked to have seen the Rite performed this way. Bravo! Beautiful music, beautiful dancing and dancer.
Why is this video flagged as inappropriate? It's a shame that here are some people who think that very high culture (haut-culture) is not suitable to younger people! Shame to the one who has done this!

I have no problem with the "inappropriate" label.
A lot of things can be discussed re this ballet.

sorry, but the fact (?) that this is not the best ballet example for younger students has nothing to do with 'inappropriate' flagging in youtube
that's just blind fear of sex and of the naked body.
and THIS yes is very bad for younger people, to transmit them fear and judgements regarding natural and beautiful elements of life
