@HorrorBuff99 Yes it was fake. I read about it. No shock just sparks..if you notice..the sparks don't match where the cat's feet are..even a cat doll was used for hopping around..Steven made it clear that the animals were not hurt at all..He would not tolerate such evil..

On the director's commentary for the DVD, Lewis Teague explained none of the cats were mistreated. No electricity was used, that was probably FX shots added in post. A jet of air was blown under the cat which they don't like so that caused them to jump. Cat was merely annoyed than scared really.
