  • I am a little disappointed in that CPT's fitness level. He shouldn't have allowed himself to get on camera... honestly. Let some of those Drills speak, Sir!

  • @motleyhar hey he didn't go to college for nothing!

  • my grandfather was in ww2 he says yall have it easy

  • That fat ass captain is missing his fucking rank to his IBA!! Stupid fat nigger!

  • the whole point of the PFT is to ensure that soldiers at at a minimum combat effectiveness. meaning , te army wants to make sure that if ever a soldier got lazy (which is unforgivable), they were at least ready to perform at a certain standard. when i was in Junior ROTC i had an instructor who was near her 50's, she was portly and starting to show the signs of aging, but every time we did PT, she made the cadets look like idiots. she attributed this to years of running about 6-8 miles

    weekly

  • 0:25 is he related to chuck norris?

  • piss poor training instructors.

  • ahh good ol fort jackson lol

  • @groves1990 good point man i never judge anyone by looks as i know from experience all im saying is the majority of US soldiers compared to British Soldiers look more overweight and are not as fit. just saying

  • @haz697 well this is a discussion not a argument i want to say that before i say this - the military physical fitness standards every soldier must maintain in the british and US armies and special forces are very close, you can verify this by looking online. so your statement that american soldiers arent as fit as british soldiers isnt valid. the standards are near the same, therefore the average british and american soldier would be just as fit as each other..thats fact

  • @groves1990 your right it is a discussion but "near" is a very weak word describing your point, near to the fact that in a British Battle Fitness test (BFT) which is carried out regularly every year, they must achieve alot more strenuous and physically demanding results of the US counterparts. i.e British Mile and a Half run must be achieved (age 17-21) 11:00 mins, US army time (age 17-21) 16:36 mins, i have many links to support this evidance. That is a fact.

  • @haz697

Yea, but if you have a 16:36 running time, you won't get promoted past spc.

  • @thorwood lol dude thats not the point, Females in the Royal Navy have to achieve under 13:00 mins. need i say more?

  • @thorwood I agree. i don't know what this idea of "oh the bare minimum!" is all about. Most soldiers I work with can run a 2 mile in 10 minutes flat. Most of them run 10 to 12 miles frequently. They can do 150 pushups, 200 situps or more non-stop. My God no one aims for the PT minimum LOL. The PT minimum is there to stop you from ranking up because you're not PTing like a good soldier should.

  • @captaindroid So you know ppl that can do 150/200/10 on an PT test, so they all have 450 pt scores LMAO, roger that lol.

  • @haz697 too bad despite your 'facts' you can't spell "evidence"

  • @haz697 yah actually in the army we run 2 miles for our pft, not 1.5 mile like you say the british do. hence why we have 5 more minutes on our time. get your "facts" straight

  • @kwuneko well if you want to be technical british run 3 miles, 1.5 squad run then 1.5 miles personel best, oh and the time the US forces have to achieve are more than what the females for the Royal Navy have to achieve, LOL.

  • @haz697 so apparently all that running the British supposedly do make them worse soldiers? Because America has the most deadly military in the world for a reason. Also the other guy is right army run 2mi. for their timed run

  • @haz697 Incorrect, we easily did 5 to 6 miles runs every mon, wed and fri at a 7 min mile pace. That was an average bravo group run. Alpha did 7+ miles at a 6 min mile pace and sometimes with IBA (body armor). And btw, your royal navy pt run is 1.5 mile, half what the US Marines pt test run is and 1/2 mile less than army standards. The time difference can obviously be attributed to this shorter run.

  • i know for a fact an average if not most US soldiers do not RUN 20 miles a day! lol no offence but if this was the case, they would not be so oversized.

  • @haz697 you're an idiot. Hes a OFFICER not a grunt.

US ARMY basic training is 2 mile run thats why its 15min

British basic is 1.5 miles lol

Us army basic is much more hardcore than British basic.

  • @selimagev yes, 0.5 miles is so much more hardcore....

  • 0:40 what a fail...he'd be dead in the real world

  • LOL american Soldiers are BIG dont they go running alot? British Soldiers look much more fit.

  • @haz697 these men run 20 miles (at least) a day. they do everything in all there gear, including a flak vest. and since the flak vest is both big and round, it makes the look fat. im 20 pounds underweight and with my size of flak vest, i looked overweight

  • capt morris was my commander in bct yay awesome B 3-34 this has my drill sgts in it arce

  • capt morris was my commander in bct yay awesome B 3-34

  • prettty jacked up chin strap there ssg lol

  • arce can't speak...haha...

  • Wow that SSGT doesn't know how to speak.

  • Remember most combat arms MOS go to OSUT not BASIC. BASIC is for REMF's. REMF's might train on weapons once in BASIC and then never really mess with them again till in a war. Combat arms soldiers will train all the time on weapons as weapons is their main job. I think this is a good idea. It will give more time on weapons to people who this might be the only training they ever get on them.

  • wow,keeps gettin easier!

  • i hear their getting rid of the 5 mile run

  • yes and their bayonet drills...i think they shouldnt get rid of the 5 mile run..the bayonet drills does nothing for our soldiers. they dont go into trenches anymore..

  • @20GATE91 replacing the 5 mile runs with sprints is genius not only does it reduce shin splints but by running faster and at intervals you increase speed, endurance, and cardio all at one time. Check out the benefits of fartlek you will be surprised.

  • @20GATE91 Well you gotta think what if you run out of ammo and the enemy is coming towards you and you have just your rifle and your bayonet?

  • @Future0331 Then you pull out your combat knife or your pistol, hell even one of your buddies can you give you an extra mag, remember we dont fight alone.

He does have a point, we dont fight trench warfare anymore, bayonete drills are useless.

  • @SSasskicker Well thats true but still its a good skill to have

  • @Future0331 bayonets are on any of our rifles any more

  • @msjtheriot You heard right

  • more of a marine basic style, looks good cant wait till i go!

  • so BRM will be more like 2 weeks instead of one? That's what the Army needs!

  • Uniformity in training hooah!
