hes already been proven guilty, unfortunately he was infiltrating the priesthood in an attempt to mislead good Christians away from Christ,he was a heretic inspired by satan
One dirty secret. I heard a priest in the SOLT raped a young man. When Fr Corapi heard about this, he was furious, and spoke out. He was told to "shut up". He did not, and so this sham "investigation" was initiated against Fr Corapi. It was a kangaroo deal, from the start. He knew he didn't have a chance, and the rug was going to be pulled out from under him.
Jesus said, "Yea who is without sin, cast the first stone." Everyone left. Father please come back..You are a true servant of Jesus Christ.Look at my site. It is Hindu. I have been thinking about leaving the Church, but I watch you, and go back to church. I keep saying the 911 prayer that you taught. I am on a string when it comes to my Catholic Church faith. I need your direction, and to keep me strong.
Dear God direct Fr. Corapi back to his rightful place.....working for You! Thank you Fr. Corapi for all you have done for us through SOLT! Forgive him of his sins!
i appreciate your guys concerns but John Corapi is way beyond guilty, i was/ am his greatest fan, breaks me that lucifer took him back, don't embarrass yourselves by ignorance of facts
The blind lead the blind - let the dead bury their own dead, you follow me(Yahushua)! It's time for all to leave the "CC" and quit believing in the "J"man...(after all hes only 400 years old) Seek Yahuah and our messiah Yahusuah. Learn the faith of the first century Nazarenes. Discover FollowersOfYah (dot) com or check out TorahOfMessiah (dot) com. You can be a good person with out the Pope and a Priest, keep the Sabath... NOT SUNday! ( Its in the Torah.)
The People of the Catholic Church really have put up with a lot of problems when I think about it. Wars, financial slavery, servitude, bogus mortgages, drugs etc. The Catholic Church is going to either correct the situation or die by the situation. The protestants of the UK have performed all types of experiments upon us and the priests didn't say a word. Time to do something about it.
The most recent information I've heard on the blogs: Fr. Corapi recently closed his Santa Cruz ministries permanently without completing part II of the Black Sheep Dog Video. His videographer, Justin does not deny that Fr. C had a personal assistant who was also his mistress. He states that Father C recently left the country.
I've noticed that Fr. Corapi is no longer updating his blacksheepdog channel, and he's also dropped his Facebook account. His officer manager Bobbi recently left his company, stating that she disagrees with Fr. Corapi's personal lifestyle and he's leading Catholics astray. Fr. Corapi has also blocked out many of his supporters from emailing him. This once great spiritual giant of the church appears to have had feet of clay.
@bigsky1970 He was not forced out of the priesthood. Like Jesse said, the Church regards priesthood as permanent, and an indelible mark on the soul. You can't get "fired" from it. He was asked to cease ministry. That is different. Instead, he chose to walk away from the priesthood. All he needs to do is go to confession and obey his superior, and he will be a priest in good standing again.
Father Corapi when you get fired......change jobs. There are plenty of ho;y orders in this country that would love to have you. Franciscans or Divine mercys. etc. We believe in you. We need to hear the word of God through you. Sad you ran when the heat was in the kitchen. You were in the military.Did you run?
God bless Father Corapi! Only two possibilties: he's guilty or not. If he's not guilty
he should fight for his case and accept the injustice and offer his sufferings with Christ's suffering for the salvation of souls. If he's guilty he should confess his sins and accept the civil and canonical penalties and suffer the consequences and offer his sufferings in union with Jesus. The other possibility is he might be mentally/psychologically injured and needs professional and spiritual help.
Yikes, get over it people. Looking at some of these weepy comments I wonder if you folks believe more in God or in Saint Corapi. Sure, he's a dynamic speaker but he ain't the second coming - just another talking head media personality. And he says he's not going away, just changing hats and venue. Like a TV actor switching to another network. Apparently he likes his place in Montana more than the barracks at SOLT. Who can blame him? Life goes on. Don't panic.
To Father Corapi: incredibly difficult as it may be right now, this can still be an opportunity for you to become a great Saint!!! This is part of your cross! Think of what Pope John Paul said in your ordination! We pray for you Father Corapi. We are ALL the "black sheepdog" in one way or another! We hope you come back... the soonest that the Lord allows you to. And HE WANTS YOU BACK!!! Please hang on. We love you, the Lord Loves you infinitely more.
people have not a clue the intense suffering and feeling of abandonment that priest feel today! They do feel love and support from the laity. Thank God for laymen and women who support us. Sadly priest are abandoned by brother priest and bishop. The wounded are shot! Amos, the prophet, was condemned by the priestly establishment of his time for speaking the truth. They would have silenced him one way or another. I have seen good priest destroyed by the ones that should defend them
I'm not sure whos worse - corapi - who spent years preaching some of the most conservative catholic theology around and is now being shunned by some of the same right wing catholic nutters - or - Jesse Romero - whos just a general tosser. If I had to have a pint with one of these guys though I'd take John Corapi any day. - Jesse Romero - how could anyone listen to that deluded gobshite.
Supposing that Fr John Corapi is in fact guilty? It is by no means impossible; just because one is a priest doesn't mean that is in capable of serious sin (far from it given the scandals in the church).
@bayreuth79 it is ideal for a Catholic priest to be a saint But it still stands true that even if a priest commits a thousand serious sins that does not in any way make him invalid as a priest. Or invalidates his preachings and writings when they are in accord with what Mother Church says. So that being said... what if he is guilty? Confession, reparation... and go back to the ministry. go back to the battle. Strengthened, stronger in the Lord than ever before.
@luyben12 sometimes predicting the future is easy, like when u say there is going to b a football game on tv on sunday. or when u say i bet the sun comes up tomorrow. this doesnt make u a sorcerer
@luyben12 i never tore him down, all i said was does anyone want to bet he is married soon. no tearing down.... glad u r catching on that divorced catholics cant get married again, just like priest CANT disobey their superiors
@luyben12 not only am i catholic, i am also divorced, so if u wish to bet that i will b married by the end of 2012 then knock yourself out. i havent judged anybody, just my hunch homeboy will get married as so many other fallen priest have gotten married. this is not rocket science
Johnny ..Your breaking your Mother's heart...You are a priest forever..Please, please don't leave us! in 2006 my husband took his life the pain and blame was so great..more than I could bare..one dark, dark, night..as I wrote letters asking my daughters to forgive..I sat ready with a bottle of prescribed pills in my hand, I began to listened to a tape, I thought it was James Taylor..soft music to put me to my final rest..but somehow,..it was your conversion story.....I am here because of U.
To all those who are so quick to condemn Fr. Corapi, just remember a certain Biblical verse that goes, "JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!" We've all sinned and fallen short of God's grace. In that regard, Fr. Corapi is no different than the rest of us. We're all in the same boat and can be forgiven by the Good Lord if we ask for it in a sincere and humble manner. God bless you Fr. Corapi, and I hope these issues can be resolved soon.
Father Corapi is NOT leaving the priesthood. Don't you know that when you are ordained you are a priest forever??? It is like being baptized. He may not say masses openly but he is STILL a priest. Why do you want Father Corapi to go back to SOLT??? It is his decision NOT to go back to SOLT. Who are you to tell him what to do??? You are NOT in his shoes. I FULLY support his decision. We need more priests like Father Corapi. We cannot live without priests.
@motherinviolate His priestly faculties are suspended, he is now as much a priest as any who has been kicked out of the priesthood or left to get married (etc) and for him to parade himself as a full functioning, incardinated priest is forbidden by the Church. The chief measure of a good priest remains obedience to the Church and Fr Corapi has shown that, despite swearing an oath to God(maybe), he is unwilling to do just that.
Make a difference. Fast for Father Corapi on August 14, 2011 (the day before the Feast of the Assumption of Mary). Search "Fast for Father Corapi" on Facebook.
Why a priest should wear his roman collar (EWTN Article):
"priests who wear the Roman collar, in addition to obeying the law of the Church and the heartfelt plea of the Holy Father, display the desire to manifest the presence of the Savior to a world gone mad. No matter the abuse which may be heaped upon a collar-wearing priest, he knows full well that the reward is significant: to be able to lead others to Christ despite one's own personal failings."
John. Corpari's guilt has already been declared by SOLT. His order says to drop any civil litigation, so he is not innocent until proven guilty. His superior already declared the accusations true (and left for a retreat where he could not be contacted). None of which is proper Canon Law procedure.
Disobedience? Corapi said a bishop said to file the civil suit.
PRAYER FROM THE ANGELS TO OVERCOME UNFORGIVENESS...
Jesus, I trust in You. I know that You love me. I desire every obstacle between us be removed. Take from my heart any morsel of unforgiveness so that I can be completely Yours.
Help me to forgive those who have hurt me, have lied about me, have gossiped about me, were jealous of me,... have stolen from me or have abused me in any way. Then plunge me deep into Your Most Sacred Heart. Cover me with Your Most Precious Blood.
The word is "immutable" things that cannot change, such as defined dogmas, the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. BTW, obedience is a virtue and needed but not absolute. If the Holy Father commanded you to sin, you are charged to disobey him. Why? Because it is against the Faith.
I'm talking about evidence of the Church changing her stance on any truths of the faith... we're talking dogma here. Religious practices, like how we celebrate the Mass or the configuration of the parish church, were never set in stone and unchangeable. If you're talking about abuses by people in the Church, see my first post (and consider what people have already said about Judas... we always knew there would be wolves in the flock).
Is his failing to apply proper mathematical rules a good basis upon which to reject the excellence of mathematics? I would say that, rather than reject math, we should find a new, reliable teacher and continue to study math. I would say that the reliable teachers can be found in Sacred Scripture and in the Saints, but that discussion can commence later...
Now for the question: I am wondering, specifically from @princessjo97, what historical evidence do you have against the Church?
@danieljosephwilliams The church has abused the scriptures by first rewriting them and burning the originals. They have redefined the meaning of God and redefined who Jesus is. They violated the scriptures about Mary in order to raise her up in order to take off the heat they were receiving about Jesus being divine. They invented private confession in the 8th century. They stipulated celibacy for priests for money and power reasons.Took control over marriages. The Crusades It goes on and on.
@princessjo97 Do you seriously believe the church re-wrote the scriptures? Do you have any proof to support these allegations. How could you explain such texts as the Codex Sinaiticus being preserved away from the control of the church. Mary was revered long before the councils took a position on her, just read the gospel of John. Celibacy for priests began during the Egypitan monastic period, about 200AD, before the 8th century. Sounds like you've read anti-Catholic propaganda.
@protochris You are wrong on all these counts. The Codex Sinaticus was written in the 5th century way after the scriptures were written.John's gospel was written in the 2nd century and was not revered as the mother of God, but the mother of Jesus. The monastic period was for monks, not priests and did not get formalized until the 11th century but even then, priests continued to marry until the council of Trent.. I haven't read all the anti- catholic propaganda.just know and understand the religion
@princessjo97 You've been misinformed, so now I do know what you've been reading. The Sinaiticus was written 4th century, not 5th. John's gospel was written sometime during the reign of Nero Ceasar, not the 2nd century. The original name for Mary was "Theotokos" meaning "The One who gives birth to God, hence Mother of God in English". I don't think you'd argue against Mary giving birth to the God man Christ Jesus. I said celibacy originated from the Monks, meaning it was already practiced.
@princessjo97 If you have a problem with the priests marrying, this is not a problem in the Eastern Catholic or Orthodox churches, so this is not a real issue. If you've been misinformed and believe all these false things about the Catholic church, How can I trust what you say about Corapi. The man appears to have had his weaknesses, and likely struggled daily, but I don't doubt his love for Christ.
@princessjo97 --- Take, for example, the Dead Sea Scrolls. They are original copies of Old Testament books found in caves on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea in the West Bank area of Palestine. They include either fragments or entire manuscripts of every Old Testament book (except perhaps Esther) in original Hebrew or Aramaic, and they are from the 2nd century BCE. The Church's Greek translations are exact matches of the Dead Sea Scrolls' Hebrew and Aramaic.
@princessjo97 --- This proves that the Church did not abuse or otherwise alter the Old Testament texts, and it is verified by scholars. People who considered books like Sirach, Wisdom, and Tobit (among others) can no longer label them "apocryphal" by their former way of defining the so-called "apocryphal" Catholic books.
As for the New Testament, we have many thousands of Greek, Latin, and other ancient language manuscripts that exactly match current Catholic translations.
@princessjo97 --- So, considering the academic and historical evidence for the authenticity of the Scriptures and proof that the Catholic Church has actually preserved the original texts of the Bible from error and change, I do not understand what you base your claims on. Scholars (even secular ones) know that the Church kept the Bible completely intact.
@princessjo97 --- Then, considering that the Scriptures were not rewritten, it would be difficult/impossible to claim that the Church redefined the meaning of God, who Jesus is, or that they violated the Scriptures about Mary. The Bible has always taught that Jesus is Divine, the only-begotten Son of God. He IS the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, and always has been. He tells us so in the authentic, Catholic-preserved Bible.
@princessjo97 --- Private Confession/Reconciliation/Penance, along with priestly celibacy, were changes in practice of the same faith, not a change in the teachings of the Church. The Rite of the celebration of Holy Mass has also been altered over the centuries (i.e., Tridentine to Novus Ordo), but that is not a problem. It is a change in the expression of the unchanging teachings of the Church, often as an accommodation for the shift of language or culture.
@princessjo97 --- I have no idea what you mean by the Church taking over marriages... you'll have to clarify for me before I can explain the Church's real stance.
The Crusades, historically, were a defensive move by the Church to save her members from attack by Muslim Turks and prevent persecution/slaughter of people who made pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Once again, this was not a dogmatic or even doctrinal question, so the Church cannot be attacked. Certain members, however, can.
@danieljosephwilliams Jesus never gave authority to the church to have authority over marriage.. Marriage was not even a sacrament until the Council of Trent in the 1500's.. My answer to the crusades are above.. :)
@princessjo97 --- Jesus taught multiple times about marriage and what it should entail. He actually made the rules on marriage even more strict than the contemporary Jews saw it, making it so that it was not only between one man and one woman (which was a given to the Jews), but also that one could not divorce one's wife, as Moses had allowed through the imperfect law of Deuteronomy. Moses allowed this in Deuteronomy because of abuses of the more perfect Levitical law.
@princessjo97 --- Jesus tells us that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it; therefore, Jewish customs would be fulfilled and not substantially altered. In addition, because Jesus hand-picked the Apostles and gave them authority (whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth... (Matthew 18:18)), it is clear that he gave the Church authority over marriage along with the authority over everything else pertaining to faith and morals.
@princessjo97 --- In response, the Council of Trent declared and reaffirmed the Sacramental nature of marriage: "According to the Council of Trent this dogma has always been taught by the Church, and is thus defined in canon i, Sess. XXIV: 'If any one shall say that matrimony is not truly and properly one of the Seven Sacraments of the Evangelical Law, instituted by Christ our Lord, but was invented in the Church by men, and does not confer grace, let him be anathema'" (found on New Advent).
@princessjo97 --- I see that you are discussing the dating of the New Testament writings. Historians agree that the Scriptures were all written between about 50 and 150 CE. The canon was not decided upon until much later, but the books of the New Testament were written from the oral tradition of the Apostles and their contemporaries, many of them perhaps penned by the men themselves or from direct dictation. This was accepted by the early Church Fathers, who would have know the authors!
@princessjo97 --- If there were an institution whose membership contained billions of people throughout history, you would expect that some of those members may not accept the precepts of that institution, or may fail to live up to those precepts if they did accept them. In a similar way, because the Catholic Church is the longest-surviving institution in the history of the world, it makes sense that some members of it would commit some unwise and even sinful acts.
Hello folks. I want to provide an analogy and then ask a question: First, the analogy. It's a classic, and it brings up a great point. So, if you have a horrible math teacher and this teacher confuses you, teaching you all about how is great and then completely ruining his solutions by failing to follow the very rules he set out... would you then, after all of the teaching, conclude that the study of mathematics was useless, or the the truths of math were untrue?
@danieljosephwilliams Your analogy about the math system is inherently flawed in that Christianity is not accepted by most people and particularly by Critical scientific scholars where math is accepted by everyone without question. The fact that you placed it on the same level as math makes me wonder how long you have been drinking the kool aid. There are many historical problems with the church and many people don’t follow because of the violation against scripture and tradition.
@princessjo97 --- My analogy to the math system is meant to make a logical point that if someone does not "practice what they preach," that does not make what they preach automatically wrong. That is never true. A math teacher doing a problem incorrectly, a firefighter trying to put a fire out incorrectly, a priest violating the laws of the church... none of these make mathematics, or firefighting, or Catholicism wrong. There are people in the Church who don't act as they should.
@princessjo97 --- Please stick to the issues, rather than making references to the "kool aid" or other such things. I have not belittled or mocked you at any point, and I would appreciate a reciprocation of my respectful and matter-of-fact method of address. No, my feelings are not hurt; it's just unprofessional and distracting to the conversation.
Now, as for the Church's abuse of the Scriptures... there are many sources of information that prove your statement to be incorrect.
@danieljosephwilliams Ummm.. nope, not gonna read Catholic biased authors anymore.. I have read them as well as the opposing side. All true scholars agree the Crusades began unprovoked. This means, the Catholics under the pope, at the time, instigated the unjust war which goes against the gospel teaching. Please read scholors who are unbiased.. You may learn more that what you wanted..
@princessjo97 --- Catholic or not, the information to be found through the sources I suggested are legitimate. Even Wikipedia, which is a public source of information, says that the Crusades were the Church's effort to re-capture (emphasis on re-) the Holy Land from the Islamic Turks who had taken it by force.
@princessjo97 --- Since Islam was invented centuries after Christianity and the Church was re-capturing the Holy Land, where Catholics were being persecuted (a lot like today), it seems very clear that the Church did not instigate the Crusades. They were a response to the violent actions of Islamic Turks, and that is something historians can agree upon.
I just cited a neutral, public, non-Catholic source, so I don't think I can be accused of getting information from biased Catholic sources.
@princessjo97 --- Marriage, along with all of the other Sacraments, were instituted by Jesus. Otherwise, they would simply not be Sacraments. You can find a Biblical basis for every Sacrament (channel of grace). As is often the case, Councils have to clarify and officially declare that certain things are true in response to heretical objections to truths. One such case was that of Holy Matrimony, which the Reformers denied as having been a Sacrament.
Let's all do the Fr. Corapi "Spiritual 911" This Friday (and successive Fridays) for his return to the Priesthood. More info on the Facebook page "Corapi Come Home" (post this on other sites)
Regardless of what you think of Father Corapi's credibility, you have to admit, he is one hell of a preacher. Electrifying, can hold a room in his hand. That, in itself, is admirable.
The priest hood is your salvation; it cannot be any other way. It is not necessary that you keep preaching but it’s very necessary that you become a Saint. Go back home, before it’s too late. If you need to be silent then be silent God is more important stay a priest and live a holy life no matter what… I now it’s hard... Believe in God’s mercy…
Agreed. It will not work any other way. Father, you can never do as a layman what you did or can do as a PRIEST...once a PRIEST....that identity never leaves our hearts or minds for you...and it will NOT go away.
Please , be guided by the Holy Spirit and Our Lady , find peace, and humility, and PREACH to us all again by your humility, and fidelity in actions..your Vocation is your way to Eternity ..dont try to DO IT YOUR WAY...but HIS WAY. Be truly free, trust .
Catholics are definitely NOT going to be "in disarray". If anyone in the Church NEEDS any individual to preserve their faith, they are not Catholics, we only need God. This charismatic man has clearly used his gifts for great good but once his order asked for him to return to his community and give up his income to the order, these things started to happen that (perhaps) provided a convenient excuse to preserve his assets and a continuing income. If this is so, he has miscalculated.
Reading the posts here, one would never know that Judas was an Apostle. He was the money guy, loved gold and all it bought. Sold out his Lord and friends. Yet no one transferred his corruption to Christ or the other Apostles. If you find a bad priest, bishop or someone else and you want to allow that to justify your hatred for the Catholic Church, go ahead. I await the posting of the perfect earthly religion or church. The Church will survive, I guess that is what really bugs some.
Why do so many people assume Fr. Corapi ever had good intentions in joining the priesthood? I never believed in his conversion story because frankly it is an incredible story. Does anyone think that if anyone really did all those things that they wouldn't still be in jail? It's bunk! All it was intended to do was sell DVDs, CDs and tickets to talks which, of course, it did. People need to let him go, Corapi doesn't represent the Church and we'd be silly to persist in believing that he ever did.
@BandofSorensons You are right on the ball. He never had good intentions, but he is quite the showman and people are in awe of his persona. He is a very dark soul who never prays, but talks about prayer. He is devoid of God and has no fear of him because he doesn't really believe in God.
@BandofSorensons idiot. you don't go through all that school and do it for 20 years if you don't begin with good intentions. That said. it looks like he fell. Everybody hates a judgemental Christian
@johny260 Aren't you "judging" me by calling me an idiot? Isn't that completely hypocritical if the kind of judgement in use is wrong? Your claim simply begs the question given the evidence regarding his life. Indeed, it is at this point doubtful that he even ever went to seminary in the first place. Seriously, he was ordained by John Paul II personally? Just like he lied about his military record, claiming green beret, I'm guessing he's lying about the rest of his improbable story too.
@BandofSorensons There were certain things Father did where he wasn't caught. He was once caught and served. He did went to rehab and such.
I don't know if he is innocent or not, but as people of God we are all called to forgive. Certain People are gifted by God, and his gift was from God.
I agree with 99 percent of what you say, both here, and on your show on EWTN. It's obvious that you are an extremely passionate and intense individual, on fire for the Lord. But I ask you: WHY MUST YOU SHOUT ALL THE TIME? I simply can't tolerate your shouting and here again I cannot listen to this. Please consider toning it down in the future for "He who has the Truth need not shout." Just trying to help a brother out. God bless you my friend.
My heart breaks for Fr. Caropi because as it was once said: "Only a priest understands a priest!" I too left my priestly ministry recently. I was raised to believe that the Church is a Mother and I labored for her all these years. Since my ordination, I see NOTHING motherly about how she treats her priests. We priests are being attacked everyday by our flock and bc of how the scandal was grossly mishandled, the presumption is that we are guilty until proven innocent. This is truly SICK!
@IsidoreCYO As a former priest what do you think of the idea of professionalized ministry? That is, do you think that setting aside young men, sending them to long years at seminary for preparation for such a specialized role is advisable? I have recently formulated doubts about the viability of such a system. Mormon leadership, which is many times as effective as our own, does not have a priestly class but takes leaders from the best of the congregations and more gets done and done well.
@IsidoreCYO Well, I have to say I have a very close and personal friend who recently left the priesthood after 20 years because of the corruption.. Every good priest in our area is held down by a bishop who was involved in a huge real estate scam..(google it under vadicon) Even though he was publicly brought out, he remained a bishop. When my friend went to Rome to tell of the many other things this bishop was doing, he was basically turned away and told to let the bishop handle it.
There are priests here who break the silence of confession, have boyfriends they live with and even stole over a million dollars from parishes. Those who have been caught by the public were simply moved while other are still scamming..Seems only true priests are considered a burden and held down... Keep your head up cause God is watching and He knows!! You're not alone... <3
@princessjo97 Hey, how you doing. I hear you been mouthing off about pushing JAG around. Since you have shown him the path of, shall we say, the good life, he has asked me to present you with another challenge. He advised me you did not bite on the radical female bait.
Oh, your challenge, Is it possible to be truly happy and content yet have such high standards of right and wrong so as to presume judgement of others?
@TheLostSeacher I wasn't mouthing off.. I really missed watching you and him fall time and time again.lol.You are both so pathetic!!!.I am truly happy and I do judge others based on their actions. Everyone should. This is why we have a judges and jury's.This is how we pick our friends and spouses, it is how we live. We should not judge those based on things they can not control such as color, disabilites, sex, etc.. Duhh... If you cant understand that law, how can I debate with you?
@princessjo97 If Fr. Corapi is guilty of the things he's accused, when do you think it began to change for him? No one can speak the words he speaks and fake it so well. He had to be spiritually inspired to speak. I read about his DUI you mentioned, but he was only 1 tenth of 1 percent over the limit. That's about 2 beers or a couple of glasses of wine, barely legally intoxicated.
@protochris I think he was always like this. I don't believe in his conversion. Why do you find it so odd to fake it? Haven't you turned your tv and seen many evangalists preaching? Do you think they all live a pious life? I don't understand why so many accusations from so many people seem to be wrong to you.. Eventaully you have to wonder if there is something else going on here.. As far as his DUI, at his body size, it would take more than a few beers.Besides, the limit is there for a reason
@princessjo97 In 1999 Calfornia was virtually the only state that had a Blood alcohol level at .09, so his intoxication was marginal. Most people get that charge reduced to reckless driving. Doesn't sound like he was concerned about his image then. The other preachers: Swaggart, Baker, Camping etc are easily recognizable as frauds because of the fruit they bare. Corapi remains popular because his message transcended his personality, not like the others-their message died with their ministry.
@princessjo97 As we shut down this going nowhere debate, let me remind you of the real concern I have here. Who is worse, the people who sign non-disclosure forms, people keeping their mouths shut because of job loss fears and just plain greed for what's in it for them or your target John Corapi. You fail to really understand the the culture and, social collapse undermining of traditional values that is confronting the Church. You have eyes but can not see; ears and can not hear.
@JAG01nj Brother, as you often told me. Use the Bible to look up a juicy quote to destroy someone. Argue about the history of the Church and other related nonsense issue plays right into the DECEIVERS hands. Political correctness, a doctrine of tolerance above right all working together to led us to hell. I thank you for your efforts here and elsewhere. God bless you.
@TheLostSeacher Well my friend, it seems you are nothing more than an instigating yapping puppy that does what he's told. Good boy..you did well. You can quote what you want, but it means nothing because you do not understand the truth. You also say arguing the history of the church is pointless becuase you know its wrong. Of course its of the deceivers hands to you. Thats because you have been playing for the wrong team. Instead of being a lap dog, why don't you read a book and use your brain.
@princessjo97 I am not your friend. If I were you would not resort to child-like name calling. If you knew anything, you would know that JAG taught me you can get a history book to support any argument you want. Who do you think writes them. It depends who is paying for what they want history to say. I never said the history of the Church was wrong; just pointless in any real debate over John Corapi guilt and all his staff's actions. Why would anyone sign a non-disclosure form for a priest?
@JAG01nj The debate has been shut down since we started. You have given NO FACTS nor have you given any truth. You simply attempt to speak in riddle as if you had a greater knowledge and you fail to see what is happening here. You also seem to think you know me on a more personal level. I don't know what person you believe I am, but you're wayyy off.. Since you need to back down because you have no truth or answers, thats ok.. I expect nothing more from a cult memeber.. xo
@princessjo97 Oh I know you and that's what 's bugging you. Your insults are really lame for someone who pretends to know it all. How much did you sell the Rosary for? One again every question asked remains unanswered. I must assume you can not answer any direct questions is because you fear exposure. It must be hard for you to understand that the real reason I part with you is simply it is a waste of time. As you see it, all who fail to follow your doctrine of hate are cult members!
@princessjo97 BTW. I was intending to discuss with you the close connection in this issue with Saint Thomas Moore. Who refused to sign a, shall we say, non-disclosure form. I would have welcomed your slanted views on the Ted Kennedy Syndrome. Namely, were is our Thomas Moore? However, it appears this would go right over your head. I am sorry my advance thought causes you such problems. Getting you to think straight may appear as a riddle to you, I understand.
@princessjo97 Maybe I should present my position as you do! I have a close personal friend and other unnamed sources that advise me you don't know what you are talking about. Since you can neither prove or disprove this assertion, you must see how ridiculous your position is. Yes, you are angry at the Catholic church for reasons other than it is not perfect. Funny, in all your posts you never offeedr a better alternative. I believe you have not yet stated your true bitterness at the Church.
@JAG01nj As I told you before, we can't prove Corapi's innoncense or guilt on-line since it is only hearsay. I can however, vow that I have had personal conflict with this man and know the truth. On the other hand, we can debate the church in general.. Since your "friend" is such an expert, please ask him(or her) to come on and tell me how I'm wrong.. I'm up for it!!! Bet he won't show..lol.. Sorry about the delay, had a great weekend and just had a moment to get on..how was your weekend..lol
@princessjo97 Sadly, I must break-off this merry-go-round discussion. You avoid the questions and selective argue issues to your liking and off point. Did you or did you not, "you were so proud to have his personal rosary from seminary..." and "I know you he spoke well of you in the book "coronary".. You are not what you present yourself to be We can go way back to your assertion that you were forced into the Catholic church and therefore have no allegiance to it. Drop the grudge.
@princessjo97 well now, it appears I am in need of your wit. Of course, if you find my attempts at making you shall we say less than smart; too bad!
Keeping it mind your post of the recent past, what are thoughts on this. St. Augustine,s efforts "...and in the dogmatic debate he established the Catholic thesis that the Church, as long as it is upon earth, can, without losing its holiness, tolerate sinners within its pale for the sake of converting them." I await you analysis.
@JAG01nj I We all know all are sinners, so you are white washing the church as if it is a divine instituion when it changes its traditions in order to survive.. So, the church is the one who is changing and not converting. This is going to be a long debate with you because we will have to hit the history of the church.. lol.. And please, don't flatter yourself.. I have never come close to calling uncle nor have I been defeated yet. Every time you can't beat me, you say "I win, next debate.."
@princessjo97 Just in case you have not had enough yet! Let's play who said.
This guy left the Church, freed nuns and married one. His last written words were, "Know that no one can have indulged in the Holy Writers sufficiently, unless he has governed churches for a hundred years with the prophets, such as Elijah and Elisha, John the Baptist, Christ and the apostles... We are beggars: this is true." Do I hear UNCLE!!!
@JAG01nj Yea yea.. Martin Luther.. He wasn't a bad guy.. Look at what he fought for.. And what does all this have to do with Corapi and the church.. You have NEVER even come close to having me call uncle.. You're arugments are shallow and void of facts and points.. Keep trying.. A for effort!! Hope ya enjoyed the beach.. I was there too. Maybe we saw each other and didn't even know..
@eeglespirit - if you find contraditions or perceive falsehoods in something someone has said, ask where they find it in the bible. go to a site like CatholicAnswers, type in the topic & find every instance of the topic where it is found in the bible then go to the bible and read the chapter & verse. take the entirety of what was being said about the topic not just a verse which is what most nonCatholic arguments are based upon, a memorized verse or two. memorizing does not mean understanding
@eeaglespirit Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ - St. Jerome - Read scripture and pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you to truth in understanding of what you are taking in. If you find a point of controversy that you can not reconcile - go the early Church fathers writings. The fathers of the Church wrote volumes on the formation of Christianity as it was to how it is; why it is what it is. To be steeped in history is to cease being Protestant - Cardinal John Henry Newman
Catholics commenting - Pray for those who have not yet come to understand the fullness of the faith in The Church. As Christ warned there are many false prophets and many fall prey to this. To argue is pointless. Pray that they may seek truth rather than self-righteous, prideful albeit temporary gratification from putting down that which they do not understand; they are unfulfilled. Defend the faith but do not return their hatred. Anger does not hold up any argument; it destroys it.
@IrishCatholicLass I agree, I'm not gonna even bother anymore, yea our Church has evil people in it but we're suppose to fight that evil. thank you for your words and God Bless you
Everyone loves to point out the heresy with the Catholic Church like ours is the only corrupt. yea duh..it's corrupted...it doesn't mean our church is less of the true religion..instead of people leaving the church why don't us Catholics come together and fight it the way we should fight our corrupted gov't as a nation. people speak but no one wants to help get the evil out...like Jesus said..the gates of hell shall never prevail against the church
@BrownEyez6890 Unfortunately, the Catholic Church is much more corrupted than people realize and it has been corrupted for centuries. The verse you refer to is Matt. 16:18, corrupted from the original and it does not refer to the church although the church has abused this interpretation extensively. The passage refers to the confession of Peter that Jesus is the son of God and the Lord promises that this truth will prevail no matter how few possess it throughout the centuries.
@fatherelijah1 When he says Church it means the real Catholicism..the truth is Catholicism but if that's not what he meant then what is the point of religion or Jesus coming here if there were many ways to god. Catholicism is the structure of his Church. No offense what you said made no sense. That passage has been said for centuries.
@princessjo97 hahahhaha....any priest knows that passage, even before Vatican two..my great uncle been a priest since world war 2 and knows it pretty well...anyone can put father in front of their name...doesn't mean they are a real priest
@princessjo97 Dumb?..yea..lol i just choose not to argument with stupidity.. If he was any man of God, he wouldn't be saying the things he saying, if the Church destroyed most of the truth then why is he even apart of it? Why waste your time being a priest?
@BrownEyez6890 Well slow one, perhaps he is trying to make it better..How is that a waste of time?? If the priests are telling you about the lies, maybe you should listen to not just him, but your conscience.. Somewhere deep inside, beyond that pride and falseness, you know he is right.. If not, then your just too far gone..lol
@BrownEyez6890 Unfortunately, the verse is corrupted from the original. The Church destroyed all the original gospels. Despite that the entire gospel builds up to who is Jesus Christ. It finally gets answered in the 16th chapter by Peter. The long awaited for answer anticipated through many chapters is that Jesus is the son of God. Jesus confirms this revelation by saying that nothing will destroy this knowledge, but the church usurped this passage in order to give itself credibility.
@BrownEyez6890 There are many ways to go to God, but the church wanted to be the controlling entity. They were craving power and authority. Christ never intended such power to be given to men. The apostles were supposed to be the example to live by, but the church did not want to live in such poverty. They have abused this passage over and over. In truth, God did not make any church the sole means to go to Him, which makes sense since there are many religions in the world.
(Check out the National Catholic Register Online) to see the truth about Fr. Corpai. Why does it take something so thorough to get people to see reveal his character and for what he is about?
@eeaglespirit Sir. It takes exactly what you have referenced here. I accept your I told you so position. However, I feel no remorse in not following your initial position. Namely, I know things but I can not tell you. I would still throw roadblocks with a position based on such. In addition, I find you and others took this opportunity to unload on the Catholic Church in general and as such I feel you have an axe to grind. God bless you.
@JAG01nj HAHAHA... Figures.. you know that you can't trust everyone, but when the facts are self evident and it comes from many sources from all walks of life, you have to at least be open and question.. Well, guess I'm not a deciever or evil after all..
@princessjo97 Well now, aren't we the happy heretic. Hmm... chased off three channels, out argued at every turn and one pissed off dame. I think I did pretty good this time. Come on, give it up for me, I did give you a pretty good run for your money. Funny thing is how easy it was when you thought you were right the whole time. I'll be watching, next time I will no go so easy.
@JAG01nj I wasn't chased off anywhere...This is why your arguements are weak.. I have NEVER been pissed off..I have been laughing at this the whole time..You're invited to watch.. I wouldn't go online if I was worried about that.. Sorry, I do feel the heirarchy of the Church is corrupt.. Seen it, lived it and know it well.. Anytime you are ready for true debate..let me know.. I'm watching as well..
@princessjo97 I am very sorrow that you now resort to untruth. I know that the deceiver touch got to you. I never did call you evil, just you thinking I did had you furious. Say what you will, I know I got under your skin. Why don't you just admit that I had you fuming. I understand it is hard to be outdone by a shall I say anti-radical female artist.
@JAG01nj I wish you knew me off line.. You would be suprised!! You've never gotten under my skin but if this is another one of your attempts to pat yourself on the back, go for it!! You seem to do that a lot..lol
hes already been proven guilty, unfortunately he was infiltrating the priesthood in an attempt to mislead good Christians away from Christ,he was a heretic inspired by satan

He states that Father C recently left the country.
protochris 3 months ago
I've noticed that Fr. Corapi is no longer updating his blacksheepdog channel, and he's also dropped his Facebook account. His officer manager Bobbi recently left his company, stating that she disagrees with Fr. Corapi's personal lifestyle and he's leading Catholics astray. Fr. Corapi has also blocked out many of his supporters from emailing him. This once great spiritual giant of the church appears to have had feet of clay.

He didn't leave, he was forced out.
bigsky1970 4 months ago
@bigsky1970 He was not forced out of the priesthood. Like Jesse said, the Church regards priesthood as permanent, and an indelible mark on the soul. You can't get "fired" from it. He was asked to cease ministry. That is different. Instead, he chose to walk away from the priesthood. All he needs to do is go to confession and obey his superior, and he will be a priest in good standing again.

Don't panic.

people have not a clue the intense suffering and feeling of abandonment that priest feel today! I have seen good priest destroyed by the ones that should defend them

newfrontier01 6 months ago
Supposing that Fr John Corapi is in fact guilty? It is by no means impossible; just because one is a priest doesn't mean that is in capable of serious sin (far from it given the scandals in the church).
bayreuth79 6 months ago
@bayreuth79 it is ideal for a Catholic priest to be a saint But it still stands true that even if a priest commits a thousand serious sins that does not in any way make him invalid as a priest. Or invalidates his preachings and writings when they are in accord with what Mother Church says. So that being said... what if he is guilty? Confession, reparation... and go back to the ministry. go back to the battle. Strengthened, stronger in the Lord than ever before.

We cannot live without priests.
motherinviolate 7 months ago
@motherinviolate His priestly faculties are suspended, he is now as much a priest as any who has been kicked out of the priesthood or left to get married (etc) and for him to parade himself as a full functioning, incardinated priest is forbidden by the Church. The chief measure of a good priest remains obedience to the Church and Fr Corapi has shown that, despite swearing an oath to God(maybe), he is unwilling to do just that.

Patricioverastegui 7 months ago
You cannot be obedient to a contradiction.
You ought not be obedient to grave sin.
If SOLT itself is disobedient (to canon law)?

The word is "immutable" things that cannot change, such as defined dogmas, the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. BTW, obedience is a virtue and needed but not absolute. If the Holy Father commanded you to sin, you are charged to disobey him. Why? Because it is against the Faith.
bkuhar 8 months ago
I'm talking about evidence of the Church changing her stance on any truths of the faith... we're talking dogma here. Religious practices, like how we celebrate the Mass or the configuration of the parish church, were never set in stone and unchangeable. If you're talking about abuses by people in the Church, see my first post (and consider what people have already said about Judas... we always knew there would be wolves in the flock).
I'd like to discuss this with you.
danieljosephwilliams 8 months ago
Is his failing to apply proper mathematical rules a good basis upon which to reject the excellence of mathematics? I would say that, rather than reject math, we should find a new, reliable teacher and continue to study math. I would say that the reliable teachers can be found in Sacred Scripture and in the Saints, but that discussion can commence later...
Now for the question: I am wondering, specifically from @princessjo97, what historical evidence do you have against the Church?
danieljosephwilliams 8 months ago
@danieljosephwilliams The church has abused the scriptures by first rewriting them and burning the originals. They have redefined the meaning of God and redefined who Jesus is. They violated the scriptures about Mary in order to raise her up in order to take off the heat they were receiving about Jesus being divine. They invented private confession in the 8th century. They stipulated celibacy for priests for money and power reasons.Took control over marriages. The Crusades It goes on and on.
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 Do you seriously believe the church re-wrote the scriptures? Do you have any proof to support these allegations. How could you explain such texts as the Codex Sinaiticus being preserved away from the control of the church. Mary was revered long before the councils took a position on her, just read the gospel of John. Celibacy for priests began during the Egypitan monastic period, about 200AD, before the 8th century. Sounds like you've read anti-Catholic propaganda.
protochris 7 months ago
@protochris You are wrong on all these counts. The Codex Sinaticus was written in the 5th century way after the scriptures were written.John's gospel was written in the 2nd century and was not revered as the mother of God, but the mother of Jesus. The monastic period was for monks, not priests and did not get formalized until the 11th century but even then, priests continued to marry until the council of Trent.. I haven't read all the anti- catholic propaganda.just know and understand the religion
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 You've been misinformed, so now I do know what you've been reading. The Sinaiticus was written 4th century, not 5th. John's gospel was written sometime during the reign of Nero Ceasar, not the 2nd century. The original name for Mary was "Theotokos" meaning "The One who gives birth to God, hence Mother of God in English". I don't think you'd argue against Mary giving birth to the God man Christ Jesus. I said celibacy originated from the Monks, meaning it was already practiced.
protochris 7 months ago
@princessjo97 If you have a problem with the priests marrying, this is not a problem in the Eastern Catholic or Orthodox churches, so this is not a real issue. If you've been misinformed and believe all these false things about the Catholic church, How can I trust what you say about Corapi. The man appears to have had his weaknesses, and likely struggled daily, but I don't doubt his love for Christ.
protochris 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Take, for example, the Dead Sea Scrolls. They are original copies of Old Testament books found in caves on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea in the West Bank area of Palestine. They include either fragments or entire manuscripts of every Old Testament book (except perhaps Esther) in original Hebrew or Aramaic, and they are from the 2nd century BCE. The Church's Greek translations are exact matches of the Dead Sea Scrolls' Hebrew and Aramaic.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- This proves that the Church did not abuse or otherwise alter the Old Testament texts, and it is verified by scholars. People who considered books like Sirach, Wisdom, and Tobit (among others) can no longer label them "apocryphal" by their former way of defining the so-called "apocryphal" Catholic books.
As for the New Testament, we have many thousands of Greek, Latin, and other ancient language manuscripts that exactly match current Catholic translations.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- So, considering the academic and historical evidence for the authenticity of the Scriptures and proof that the Catholic Church has actually preserved the original texts of the Bible from error and change, I do not understand what you base your claims on. Scholars (even secular ones) know that the Church kept the Bible completely intact.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Then, considering that the Scriptures were not rewritten, it would be difficult/impossible to claim that the Church redefined the meaning of God, who Jesus is, or that they violated the Scriptures about Mary. The Bible has always taught that Jesus is Divine, the only-begotten Son of God. He IS the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, and always has been. He tells us so in the authentic, Catholic-preserved Bible.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Private Confession/Reconciliation/Penance, along with priestly celibacy, were changes in practice of the same faith, not a change in the teachings of the Church. The Rite of the celebration of Holy Mass has also been altered over the centuries (i.e., Tridentine to Novus Ordo), but that is not a problem. It is a change in the expression of the unchanging teachings of the Church, often as an accommodation for the shift of language or culture.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- I have no idea what you mean by the Church taking over marriages... you'll have to clarify for me before I can explain the Church's real stance.
The Crusades, historically, were a defensive move by the Church to save her members from attack by Muslim Turks and prevent persecution/slaughter of people who made pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Once again, this was not a dogmatic or even doctrinal question, so the Church cannot be attacked. Certain members, however, can.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@danieljosephwilliams Jesus never gave authority to the church to have authority over marriage.. Marriage was not even a sacrament until the Council of Trent in the 1500's.. My answer to the crusades are above.. :)

@princessjo97 --- Jesus taught multiple times about marriage and what it should entail. He actually made the rules on marriage even more strict than the contemporary Jews saw it, making it so that it was not only between one man and one woman (which was a given to the Jews), but also that one could not divorce one's wife, as Moses had allowed through the imperfect law of Deuteronomy. Moses allowed this in Deuteronomy because of abuses of the more perfect Levitical law.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Jesus tells us that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it; therefore, Jewish customs would be fulfilled and not substantially altered. In addition, because Jesus hand-picked the Apostles and gave them authority (whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on earth... (Matthew 18:18)), it is clear that he gave the Church authority over marriage along with the authority over everything else pertaining to faith and morals.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- In response, the Council of Trent declared and reaffirmed the Sacramental nature of marriage: "According to the Council of Trent this dogma has always been taught by the Church, and is thus defined in canon i, Sess. XXIV: 'If any one shall say that matrimony is not truly and properly one of the Seven Sacraments of the Evangelical Law, instituted by Christ our Lord, but was invented in the Church by men, and does not confer grace, let him be anathema'" (found on New Advent).
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- I see that you are discussing the dating of the New Testament writings. Historians agree that the Scriptures were all written between about 50 and 150 CE. The canon was not decided upon until much later, but the books of the New Testament were written from the oral tradition of the Apostles and their contemporaries, many of them perhaps penned by the men themselves or from direct dictation. This was accepted by the early Church Fathers, who would have know the authors!
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- If there were an institution whose membership contained billions of people throughout history, you would expect that some of those members may not accept the precepts of that institution, or may fail to live up to those precepts if they did accept them. In a similar way, because the Catholic Church is the longest-surviving institution in the history of the world, it makes sense that some members of it would commit some unwise and even sinful acts.

Hello folks. I want to provide an analogy and then ask a question: First, the analogy. It's a classic, and it brings up a great point. So, if you have a horrible math teacher and this teacher confuses you, teaching you all about how is great and then completely ruining his solutions by failing to follow the very rules he set out... would you then, after all of the teaching, conclude that the study of mathematics was useless, or the the truths of math were untrue?
danieljosephwilliams 8 months ago
@danieljosephwilliams Your analogy about the math system is inherently flawed in that Christianity is not accepted by most people and particularly by Critical scientific scholars where math is accepted by everyone without question. The fact that you placed it on the same level as math makes me wonder how long you have been drinking the kool aid. There are many historical problems with the church and many people don’t follow because of the violation against scripture and tradition.
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- My analogy to the math system is meant to make a logical point that if someone does not "practice what they preach," that does not make what they preach automatically wrong. That is never true. A math teacher doing a problem incorrectly, a firefighter trying to put a fire out incorrectly, a priest violating the laws of the church... none of these make mathematics, or firefighting, or Catholicism wrong. There are people in the Church who don't act as they should.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Please stick to the issues, rather than making references to the "kool aid" or other such things. I have not belittled or mocked you at any point, and I would appreciate a reciprocation of my respectful and matter-of-fact method of address. No, my feelings are not hurt; it's just unprofessional and distracting to the conversation.
Now, as for the Church's abuse of the Scriptures... there are many sources of information that prove your statement to be incorrect.

danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@danieljosephwilliams Ummm.. nope, not gonna read Catholic biased authors anymore.. I have read them as well as the opposing side. All true scholars agree the Crusades began unprovoked. This means, the Catholics under the pope, at the time, instigated the unjust war which goes against the gospel teaching. Please read scholors who are unbiased.. You may learn more that what you wanted..
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Catholic or not, the information to be found through the sources I suggested are legitimate. Even Wikipedia, which is a public source of information, says that the Crusades were the Church's effort to re-capture (emphasis on re-) the Holy Land from the Islamic Turks who had taken it by force.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago
@princessjo97 --- Since Islam was invented centuries after Christianity and the Church was re-capturing the Holy Land, where Catholics were being persecuted (a lot like today), it seems very clear that the Church did not instigate the Crusades. They were a response to the violent actions of Islamic Turks, and that is something historians can agree upon.
I just cited a neutral, public, non-Catholic source, so I don't think I can be accused of getting information from biased Catholic sources.
danieljosephwilliams 7 months ago

BandofSorensons 8 months ago 4
@BandofSorensons Amen!! You are the smartest person on here I have seen..lol..
princessjo97 8 months ago
@BandofSorensons You are right on the ball. He never had good intentions, but he is quite the showman and people are in awe of his persona. He is a very dark soul who never prays, but talks about prayer. He is devoid of God and has no fear of him because he doesn't really believe in God.
fatherelijah1 8 months ago
@BandofSorensons idiot. you don't go through all that school and do it for 20 years if you don't begin with good intentions. That said. it looks like he fell. Everybody hates a judgemental Christian
johny260 7 months ago
@johny260 Aren't you "judging" me by calling me an idiot? Isn't that completely hypocritical if the kind of judgement in use is wrong? Your claim simply begs the question given the evidence regarding his life. Indeed, it is at this point doubtful that he even ever went to seminary in the first place. Seriously, he was ordained by John Paul II personally? Just like he lied about his military record, claiming green beret, I'm guessing he's lying about the rest of his improbable story too.
BandofSorensons 7 months ago
@BandofSorensons my response was simply to annoy you in the same way you annoy others.

Jesse,
I agree with 99 percent of what you say, both here, and on your show on EWTN.

IsidoreCYO 8 months ago
@IsidoreCYO As a former priest what do you think of the idea of professionalized ministry? That is, do you think that setting aside young men, sending them to long years at seminary for preparation for such a specialized role is advisable? I have recently formulated doubts about the viability of such a system. Mormon leadership, which is many times as effective as our own, does not have a priestly class but takes leaders from the best of the congregations and more gets done and done well.
BandofSorensons 8 months ago
@IsidoreCYO Well, I have to say I have a very close and personal friend who recently left the priesthood after 20 years because of the corruption.. Every good priest in our area is held down by a bishop who was involved in a huge real estate scam..(google it under vadicon) Even though he was publicly brought out, he remained a bishop. When my friend went to Rome to tell of the many other things this bishop was doing, he was basically turned away and told to let the bishop handle it.
princessjo97 8 months ago

TheLostSeacher 8 months ago
@TheLostSeacher I wasn't mouthing off.. I really missed watching you and him fall time and time again.lol.You are both so pathetic!!!.I am truly happy and I do judge others based on their actions. Everyone should. This is why we have a judges and jury's.This is how we pick our friends and spouses, it is how we live. We should not judge those based on things they can not control such as color, disabilites, sex, etc.. Duhh... If you cant understand that law, how can I debate with you?
princessjo97 8 months ago
@princessjo97 If Fr. Corapi is guilty of the things he's accused, when do you think it began to change for him? No one can speak the words he speaks and fake it so well. He had to be spiritually inspired to speak. I read about his DUI you mentioned, but he was only 1 tenth of 1 percent over the limit. That's about 2 beers or a couple of glasses of wine, barely legally intoxicated.
protochris 7 months ago
@protochris I think he was always like this. I don't believe in his conversion. Why do you find it so odd to fake it? Haven't you turned your tv and seen many evangalists preaching? Do you think they all live a pious life? I don't understand why so many accusations from so many people seem to be wrong to you.. Eventaully you have to wonder if there is something else going on here.. As far as his DUI, at his body size, it would take more than a few beers.Besides, the limit is there for a reason
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 In 1999 Calfornia was virtually the only state that had a Blood alcohol level at .09, so his intoxication was marginal. Most people get that charge reduced to reckless driving. Doesn't sound like he was concerned about his image then. The other preachers: Swaggart, Baker, Camping etc are easily recognizable as frauds because of the fruit they bare. Corapi remains popular because his message transcended his personality, not like the others-their message died with their ministry.
protochris 7 months ago
@princessjo97 As we shut down this going nowhere debate, let me remind you of the real concern I have here. Who is worse, the people who sign non-disclosure forms, people keeping their mouths shut because of job loss fears and just plain greed for what's in it for them or your target John Corapi. You fail to really understand the the culture and, social collapse undermining of traditional values that is confronting the Church. You have eyes but can not see; ears and can not hear.
JAG01nj 7 months ago
@JAG01nj Brother, as you often told me. Use the Bible to look up a juicy quote to destroy someone. Argue about the history of the Church and other related nonsense issue plays right into the DECEIVERS hands. Political correctness, a doctrine of tolerance above right all working together to led us to hell. I thank you for your efforts here and elsewhere. God bless you.
TheLostSeacher 7 months ago
@TheLostSeacher Well my friend, it seems you are nothing more than an instigating yapping puppy that does what he's told. Good boy..you did well. You can quote what you want, but it means nothing because you do not understand the truth. You also say arguing the history of the church is pointless becuase you know its wrong. Of course its of the deceivers hands to you. Thats because you have been playing for the wrong team. Instead of being a lap dog, why don't you read a book and use your brain.
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 I am not your friend. If I were you would not resort to child-like name calling. If you knew anything, you would know that JAG taught me you can get a history book to support any argument you want. Who do you think writes them. It depends who is paying for what they want history to say. I never said the history of the Church was wrong; just pointless in any real debate over John Corapi guilt and all his staff's actions. Why would anyone sign a non-disclosure form for a priest?
TheLostSeacher 7 months ago
@JAG01nj The debate has been shut down since we started. You have given NO FACTS nor have you given any truth. You simply attempt to speak in riddle as if you had a greater knowledge and you fail to see what is happening here. You also seem to think you know me on a more personal level. I don't know what person you believe I am, but you're wayyy off.. Since you need to back down because you have no truth or answers, thats ok.. I expect nothing more from a cult memeber.. xo
princessjo97 7 months ago
@princessjo97 Oh I know you and that's what 's bugging you. Your insults are really lame for someone who pretends to know it all. How much did you sell the Rosary for? One again every question asked remains unanswered. I must assume you can not answer any direct questions is because you fear exposure. It must be hard for you to understand that the real reason I part with you is simply it is a waste of time. As you see it, all who fail to follow your doctrine of hate are cult members!
JAG01nj 7 months ago
@princessjo97 BTW. I was intending to discuss with you the close connection in this issue with Saint Thomas Moore. Who refused to sign a, shall we say, non-disclosure form. I am sorry my advance thought causes you such problems. Getting you to think straight may appear as a riddle to you, I understand.

JAG01nj 8 months ago
@JAG01nj As I told you before, we can't prove Corapi's innoncense or guilt on-line since it is only hearsay. I can however, vow that I have had personal conflict with this man and know the truth. On the other hand, we can debate the church in general.. Since your "friend" is such an expert, please ask him(or her) to come on and tell me how I'm wrong.. I'm up for it!!! Bet he won't show..lol.. Sorry about the delay, had a great weekend and just had a moment to get on..how was your weekend..lol
princessjo97 7 months ago

I await you analysis.

IrishCatholicLass 8 months ago
@eeaglespirit Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ - St. Jerome - Read scripture and pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you to truth in understanding of what you are taking in. If you find a point of controversy that you can not reconcile - go the early Church fathers writings. The fathers of the Church wrote volumes on the formation of Christianity as it was to how it is; why it is what it is. To be steeped in history is to cease being Protestant - Cardinal John Henry Newman
IrishCatholicLass 8 months ago
Catholics commenting - Pray for those who have not yet come to understand the fullness of the faith in The Church. As Christ warned there are many false prophets and many fall prey to this. To argue is pointless. Pray that they may seek truth rather than self-righteous, prideful albeit temporary gratification from putting down that which they do not understand; they are unfulfilled. Defend the faith but do not return their hatred. Anger does not hold up any argument; it destroys it.

BrownEyez6890 8 months ago
@BrownEyez6890 Unfortunately, the Catholic Church is much more corrupted than people realize and it has been corrupted for centuries. The verse you refer to is Matt. 16:18, corrupted from the original and it does not refer to the church although the church has abused this interpretation extensively. The passage refers to the confession of Peter that Jesus is the son of God and the Lord promises that this truth will prevail no matter how few possess it throughout the centuries.
fatherelijah1 8 months ago
@fatherelijah1 When he says Church it means the real Catholicism..the truth is Catholicism but if that's not what he meant then what is the point of religion or Jesus coming here if there were many ways to god. Catholicism is the structure of his Church. No offense what you said made no sense. That passage has been said for centuries.

@BrownEyez6890 Well slow one, perhaps he is trying to make it better..How is that a waste of time?? BrownEyez6890 8 months ago
