Thanks for the comments RiskyRook. Too bad about your Heeler. It is tough to lose a friend like that. They are like members of the family. Our Breeder is based in Western MA but does do business throughout the US and even Europe. The Kennel name is "Rough and Ready".Should be able to find it through a simple search of that name.I don't know how they stack up with other breeders but I can assure you they are proffesional, knowledgeable and ethical. They have several show champions among there dogs
Love your comments Slammi.... way to tell em! I unfortunately just lost my red heeler to cancer. But he took a dim view of any one who got near his mom or his truck. And he didn't put up with fuss from the livestock either. Of course he loved his cat but we didn't tell the other cattle dogs in case it made him look bad...LOL!
Maybe Oreo has changed names, one is no longer an active account. I guess approval is more important to some than others. Oreo, your criticisms, and considerable communication skills have me questioning my whole dog trainig philosophy. Your wisdom has me looking inward...
omg! yeah oreolover is like very right what the hell is wrong with you!!! your gonna get so many boos you already have 98 boos in your video JAJAJA!!!!
Listen junior, I'll not be taking any advice from you. She gets all the "practice" she needs. Her job is to watch our 84 acres. She is a born watchdog. I don't really care if it upsets your fragile sensabilities that this is so. If you knew the history of this breed as much as you imply then you would know why BEAR makes such a fierce gaurdian of our home and property. Her trainig is quite extensive in fact. So take your sanctimonious advice and go back to watching reruns of the Dog Whisperer.
It is my Dog and I can tell you for certain she would bite. Watchdog credentials : proven...Always announce yourself when visiting our house. She doesn't like suprises.
You are an idiot who does not obviously know a thing about the traits of a cattle dog and the the reasons behind their breeding. Maybe before you insult others who know more than you ie the owner of the dog in this video) you should get some of your facts right , if you came into my yard without me my pure bred ACD would bite you because she knows her job is to protect me and whats mine that is their nature! I also wouldn't make fun of the name Bear, what sort of a silly name is Oreo for a dog?
Friggin awesome. I laughed through that whole thing. I love that pull/jerking action. thehomefront is right, she must be part hyena.
I had a female that looked and acted a lot like that. Lost her to brain cancer at a young age of 8...miss her and hope to get another very soon.

i know THIS acd. she's one of the grandkids.
brilliantly intelligent, devoted, obedient and, yes, tenacious. and fortunately for our
son and daughter-in-law, fiercely protective.
i know from bitter experience that "the dog
one doubts would ever bite" leaves you with
more than a wtf look on your face. we love
and appreciate bear for all she is.

canine navy seal training? can you say
DETERMINED? that could've been someone's
leg. ouch.
gubban159 3 years ago
An ACD would not do this to a person....
You need to learn a little more about the tenacious Australian cattle dog...
I doubt this dog would ever bite anyone...

You really need more practice to your dog! Thats to the owner of this video
