  • That table is quite the work of art, but I'll stick with my simple Linn Sondek LP12. ;)

  • This is crazy.. I prefer buy my second house :)

  • those turntables are the worst ever. they are sooo "empty" like digital sources! we love vinyl because of its free, warm, "human" sound. you can buy a cd player instead of a clearaudio turntable. they are both dry without "air". and i don't mean "colouring" the music, i'm talking about real music as it comes out of real instruments played by humans! i was one of the fools that once had one of the terrible clearaudio turntables! thank god i got rid of that!!!

  • @hifidelist1 seems like there are a lot of variables involved...arm, cartridge audio gear, wiring and interconnects, speakers, listening room, source material....did you cover all those bases? Of course its all about personal preference anyway. Id imagine a 180k turntable has got to do a half decent job. I like the idea of a black curtain listening test for all equipment. No doubt, appearance can have some affect on ones opinion

  • IT has to sound good! just look at how long it takes to change a record.

  • What?? I was hoping to hear the sound of this turntable... it was only like 5 seconds... I wish there was another video with high audio quality.

  • Gee why does it take that long to change records on this overpriced snake oil turntable? I have a technics sl-10 linear tracking turntable and it's so easy to change

records. All I have to do is open the lid, take the record out and place it on the platter,

close the lid and hit play . And there you go!

  • good grief.....it WAS NOT worth watching this video. all that time to set up and we ended up hearing FIVE SECONDS of the turntable actually playing an LP.

  • This is a great high end turntable 50 years too late. This will never sell other than someone with a tiny penis will buy it to overcompensate for it.

  • Lame, a scam to milk the more cash than sense crowd.

    A Rube Goldberg Machine

  • How about just get a freakin Ipod. It's much easier and just 0.99 a song.

  • @oooowwwwdddd iPod's have no warmth, no soul, no 'je ne sais qua,' they distort the intended sound with digital compression and cheap DACs.....

  • @shkwave99 That's all in your mind. Except for the frequent "crackle" the human ear can't tell the difference between an IPOD and a vinyl record. And in most cases unless the turntable has an audiophile quality cartridge, the IPOD will sound better. People like vinyl for the animated mechanical aspect. If you say you can hear the difference, you're lying to yourself.

  • Does it stamp records also?

  • This guy is my father! who changes the vinyl... :D

  • holy shit! they have this turntable at needledoctor com

it goes for $150,000!!! thats like half a house

  • Such a monster table, I'll stick with my Innovation Compact.

  • Can someone tell me what record he puts on the turntable (that we only get to hear 10 seconds of)? I like the way it sounds. Thanks!

  • if i had that thing, my cat would jump on it and ruin it.

  • I have always felt that collecting/listening to vinyl records adds something to the music listening experience that cds/mp3s take away. This piece seems to be so overwhelming that it seems to take something away from the vinyl format.

  • $10 say that you could get the same sound-quality for like a thousandths of the price

  • Everything that is dispensable in this video was shown, except the essential. It seems like the most important, the sound, should not be shown.

  • Rube Goldberg contraption. I bet it's fun to use.

  • Even for free I wouldn't want it......Taking this long to change records just sucks the joy using records in the first place.

  • What's the holdup? Taking that much time to play a record. My table is so easy to play a record, I have a technics SL-L20 linear tracking. All I have to do is open the dustcover, turn the power on, select speed and size, put the record on, hit the start button, then enjoy.

  • me imagino haciendo scratch con esto...

  • Linear tracking is cool. Had a Technics once that I loved and traded it for cash. Daumb ass move.

  • @bergerfry Are you comparing this turntable with a low budget technichs trash, Wake up you Troll !

  • @polyjr Why do you have to resort to being an a'hole. I was only complimenting the linear tracking style. My budget back in the 80's made that turntable quite nice. I have nothing but respect for the technology of the finer equipment.

I also have to add that I have always owned Technics turntables and none of them have ever been trash.

Your use of the term "troll" makes you sound very uneducated.

  • @bergerfry Are you still comparing a trash ( made with plastic for Chris'sake!) Technics linear arm with that ??????!!!!! They are two diferent technologies, has in common only the same principals. Technics still producing nice TT but all with tangential arms ! I think it's very "Trolling" of yours complain about my manners after call me an asshole. about my comments for you, and your response, no offense taking or giving, But facts are facts, right ? Peace man !!

  • @polyjr Was only comparing the principle. Comparing my old unit to this quality is like comparing a Ford Pinto to a Rolls Royce. It'll get you there but it'll be a bumpy ride.

I have caviar taste on a Long John Silvers budget.

  • They have a very expensive machinery they have but still have no idea how to clean records properly....it's same as with those guys who have money to buy Buggatti but really do not know how to drive :D

  • i agree.

    crossing the grooves?!

that just puts all the dust right back in the grooves.

i've never had good luck with the dry carbon bristle brushes. they just drop the dust in a line whenever you lift them. (i use the old discwasher with a tiny bit of distilled water)

it looks like he's cleaning up a smashed wine glass!

  • For crying out loud just put the bloody thing on...

  • Bit much for my taste!

  • that's one badass piece of equipment

  • so much work to do to change albums...

  • Weight 350kg

    Pricetag - $90 000

    It is remarkable!

  • And then there's the iPod!

  • @misterplops

    iPod! hahaha, mp3 digital junk.

  • But how does it stack up against the Technics?

  • I always make my butler wear gloves when the 78's need turning. Whom is Technics?

    Do they make electrostatic apparatus?

  • @Hyperproglo I always make mý butler do a naked-handstand before he can even think about touching the equipment. Why? Because I can and it turns me on.

  • you wouldn't stack one of these it would crush everything underneath it. lol.

  • shouldn't he wear some gloves? what a cretin.

  • What's the piano track in the background at 2:45?

  • for that money you can rent professoinal musicians in your home..

  • @paranormaalutrecht Yes, for sure, We can summon from the grave, for example, Jimmi hendrix or maestro Karajan or Duke Ellington . You are a very clever dude,

  • Shouldnt one wear gloves and a maybe a suit of somekind using this turntable? Im just messing. The engineering looks impressive.

One thing about vinyl LPs - there is so much care in cleaning and prepping say a used LP that I find it way too time consuming. Why pop on a dirty LP on one of these?

Im assuming that in tables like this you should only play pristine new sealed LPs.

  • This is an epic turntable.

  • kinda seems like it would be a pain in the ass to use . ill keep my rega drop the tonearm and were off!

  • Ludicrous. I'll keep my $2,000 Ztec CD player.

  • yah note to clearaudio get a grip....

  • I Love turntables , but believe me , if someone gave me this vile ugly repugnant monster of a turntable for absolutely nothing , I'd phone the police and get him arrested . What a pile of junk . This kind of elaborate excess ( for no audible improvement over any half decent Linn or Thorens for eg ) is enough to drive any music lover to CD .

  • Ya, I agree, what about the spec's, it is no better then other turntables that are good, I was told this by a Hi-Fi Expert too. Thanks.

  • lol..that was great ending to your point.."drive any music lover to cd" lol..a turntable like this just might do it. That is a bit ridiculous!!!

  • the fuck are you on about?

  • Please don't talk shit to me..

  • It is better to put your money in a garbage bag and give to the bumps than give it to this sales manager or the developer ... it is ridiculous.... because the original recordings are made by much cheaper equipment than this ordinairy piece of shit for the nouveau rich that don't have a normal life anymore.. If you want to waist your money give it to me! or to the people in africa.

Everything in this commercial has to do with twisted minds.

  • first of all, i agree with you concerning this particular record player; or any record player above, say, $25,000. once you reach a certain price point, the gains in sound quality are so infinitesimal that they are almost inaudible and by far not worth the money.

  • now, the reason I replied to your comment is because what you said is fucking ludicrous. high-end audio is truly a thing of beauty and until you experience it and learn to appreciate it, you can't make a statement like that.

good luck 'digging holes'. it seems that occupation suits you.

  • It's always easy to recognize people of low class.

  • indeed, they buy this awfull kitsch...

  • I hope they play Bon Jovi next.

  • me too may bad med.but it will take 1 more hour for him to change lps (the buttrocker)

  • Bravo! Well Done Old Chap!

  • why would anyone buy a 100,000 dollar turntable except to be a snob

  • There are thousands of people that are worth $25 mil+. 100k for those folks will not hurt their lifestyle. So if you are an audiophile, and you have the cash, why settle for less than the best?

  • Does it come with a build in USB to MP3 converter?

  • You killed me.

  • Pure anxiety!

Mi fa venire veramente l'ansia!Ma che diamine sta toccando un bambino nato prematuro percaso?Assurda tutta sta cura!

  • My Thorens 160 Super sounds just as good if not better for that price!

  • rich peopl sux

  • i wonder if that ring on the outside helps reshape slightly warped records

  • Anyone else notice the Omega on the guys wrist?

  • It's supposed to weigh 700 pounds.

  • Do they make a portable version with an armband for when I go jogging?

  • LOL!@

  • by the time u complete changing the record the day is over.

  • what the hell are those digital numbers doing there!!!

  • ZZZZZzzzzzz! What a production to change a disc!

  • I WANT ONE!!!! GIMME CLEAR AUDIO!!!

if he were a true, high end audiophile, he'd have the album cleaner that puts a jet of cleaner in the grooves...

  • i'll stick with a technic 1200 for now

  • looks more like a lathe than a record player

  • Hei "diddlus", yeah that music is very nice.

Try to ask to martinrecsCom, they seems to be experts

    U.

  • Hello what is the name of the vinyl which plays?

    Thank you

  • I wanna three of these mandy morning. Witch one is the better place to buy one of these, Amazon or Tradera???

  • Don't get me wrong Clearaudio makes some really nice stuff, but this thing looks like $150,000 worth of frustration to me. It's more like a Rube Goldberg machine than a piece of audio equipment.

  • Christ my Girlfriend comes quiker than this.

  • you'd expect from a guy who sells a $125 turntable to know how to use a brush. And No, if you don't brush the needle as well, the universe will NOT come to a screeching halt. Also, peripheral rings are meant to keep warped records relatively steady, clamps too. This is nothing to do with music just a really, really, really, really expensive toy.

Don't get me wrong id go with some of their mid-line decks, the small linear arm and a nice cartridge, but this is pushing the limits of insanity

  • I completely agree with you.

  • SIMPLY PERFECTION!!!!!

  • I'm sorry but the LP12 widely beats any overpriced and ugly spaceship-like design Clearaudio tables.

  • How much does it cost?

  • $125,000 US dollars

  • Having heard a Clearaudio some way down the range from this one I can confidently say it makes an LP12 sound like the overhyped, boxy coloured POC it really is.

  • I'm sure this turntable performs to the highest standards humanly possible. But I'm not sure if the sound quality one would get is worth all the brain surgery involved in changing a record. I'll stick with my vintage Luxmen P-99 thank you.

  • Great comment blackhand . You couldn't give me one of those useless monsters . I bought a project debut 3 last week . Cost £250 ..does nothing but play records ..brilliant . I can't stop playing it , or looking at it spin (check out my vid of it ) This beast here would suck out all the enjoyment of playing records . What the hell are they thinking , making a behemoth like this , and who buys it ?LOL

  • Hey, I want my tortillas well pressed.

    Nice tortilla spinning machine.

  • So stupid. It takes forever just to load an album. Artsy fartsy shit like this always sucks. Clearly (no pun intended) belongs in some liberal assholes living room.

  • I bet the Statement only sounds a little bit better than the Sondek LP12 I'm just awaiting: with the difference of money they cost, the LP12 is more than a bargain.

  • Thanks. I'll keep my LP12.

Is it any wonder why the kids these days aren't into hi-fi? I can change the oil on my car faster than this guy can change this album.

  • What a clever comment.

  • Why does he dust the vinyl after he's put the outside clamp on? Surely the raised edge will keep the dust on the disc...yummy turntable..I shall sell my house and buy one..

  • que cosa tan espectacular!!!!!

  • I plumb reckon' that's one fancy record player ya got there!

  • to bad I only listened to 7 seconds of this wonderful looking turntable. Can we hear a little more? I know its only compressed internet But it would still be nice.

  • Doh! Wrong side!

  • They care very much... - Gasp!

  • Hey i want one like this...

  • I can just picture myself dropping that record clamp right onto an album and ruining it.

  • listen a record on that monster is very complicated. every 20 mins (1 x-long side)you must do all that operations (5-10 mins silence) to turn the B side. the musical feeling you're trying has gone! i love clearaudio system only with unify tonearms

  • It would be cool if this turntable had a 1 Mhz 32 bit quadraphonic sample buffer that read a minute ahead and then reads out of the buffer while you change records seamlessly (and it would reduce skipping). Still, that is an expensive turntable even without the digital buffer. Of course, if you want the best analogue, get a reel-to-reel and a 15 ips or faster prerecorded tape.

  • But that would be converting it to lossy digital and suck the life out of vinyl!

  • Amazing equipment!I can only dream...
