If tyhis were a pet store with puppies and kittens, this store owner would be horrified, or would be in jail for cruelty to animals. Even if the animal were going to be eaten, it is illegal to do anything like this to food-producing animals like chicken or cattle. I don't understand why this is acceptable because it is a crustacean. If it's not cute, it can be abused before it dies?
Dogs are different to lobsters - completely different. They are capable of logical cognition, are cute, capable of feeling things like love, and they help out humans by doing things such as rescuing people and assisting the police.
Lobsters are ugly, stupid, incapable of feeling things like love and sadness, and apart from as food - they are useless to us.
I do like lobster, but this does seem kind of cruel. If there was a way to kill lobsters without the pain of having the boil them alive, I would totally go for it.
