  • I was in the fire too. We were residents in building 6 has well. What was really the cause, of this fire??????

  • holy crap i remember seeing this from my bus stop behind the apartments at like 7am, so crazy, their finally building these back together, my love goes out to those who lived there

  • Sorry to hear that you were one of those involved but glad you made it out OK. Were you able to make it out with any possessions? Did they wever let you know the cause of the fire?

  • We only made it out with the clothes on our backs.

They are still investigating what caused it.

  • @WikkedTV , so what the cause of this fire? We were in building 6 too!

  • @CourtneyXtal

According to the report we got from the fire dept, it was inconclusive. Yeah right.

  • @WikkedTV Yea, I think it was the lady above us! She was a huge cig smoker!!! I think she fell asleep with one, in her hand.....careless!!!!

  • @CourtneyXtal So we lost everything and damn near our very lives because someone was careless. I lived in Apt D(we had just moved in exactly 3 months to the day) and all I know is I looked up and saw flames shooting out of the window and folks running out in their night clothes. It was intense that night and I stood outside and watched it all.

  • @WikkedTV

I know how you feel!! We had just moved in, in Novemeber! We were in Apt E. It was crazy! Once we got out, I couldn't even watch. It made me feel disgusting :(. Sometimes, I think about it. Have you driven back over there? I haven't. What floor were you on? We were in the middle.

  • @CourtneyXtal We moved in November 4th, lock, stock and barrel from NY. We were on the first floor facing the parking lot.

I stood outside and watched it all. It was 10 degrees out but I didn't care. Seeing those flames shoot across the roof from Building 6-8 and the potential threat to #10, 12 & 14 was a sight to behold.

We moved into BLDG #1, but left all together once our lease was up. I'll never forget the folks who helped us that night.

  • @WikkedTV Yea, the people who helped us, were amazing! God's gift. Hey were you the two girls, in nightgowns? If so, yes, I remember seeing you.

  • @CourtneyXtal My roommate was in her nightgown(bright yellow). I was dressed because irony of all ironies, I'd just come from the rental office where I'd dropped off the rent check.

    Who were you?

  • @WikkedTV I was the brown skin girl, with a little black puppy, and my husband. We is fair skin. It is so ironic, I had a money order, and had forgot to drop it off. It was in my purse, which I managed to grap, before running out.

  • @CourtneyXtal I most definitely remember you guys. You were directly in sight of us by the door to the empty APT we were all in that night in BLDG #1.

You remember the night before when we had that massive power outage due to those guys jumping the curb and hitting a pole with a transformer box? The only reason I was on my way to bed the @ 1:15 am the morning of the fire was because the previous night our fire alarm was going off all night and I couldn't sleep. It was then that I smelt smoke.

  • @CourtneyXtal I was tired that evening from not having slept the previous night. Plus they called me out of work that night as well due to a low patient census. I wasn't supposed to even be in the house, but fate made sure that I was.

  • Wow. I didn't believe it when one of my friends told me that this video was here.

I was one of the residents who lived in building #6. That building was completely destroyed, along with 1/2 of building #8.

And like one person said the conditions were extreme. The wind worked against the poor firefighters.

  • i saw this from my house which is on the other side of E.Northern pkwy which is 5 miles away from this

  • Nice vid

  • This was 1 intense fire.i arrived on the third alarm i got there before my units did.The conditions were extreme.the hoses were creating freezing spray with temperatures in the 20's and wind blowing up to 20 mph.The fire and smoke could be seen for miles upon arrival.
