I had the honor and the great pleasure of having Luiz Bonfa over for dinner in my house in B'klyn NY in 1963..After the Feijoada(his favorite dish he played on his guitar and then accompanied me in Manha de Carnaval.Unforgettable recording I made in my house that sounds like a studio.He played for almost 2 hours.A few days later he was on The Perry Como's Show on NBC. I have never witnessed such artistry on the guitar.I'll always miss you my dear friend.I was performing in Brazil as Jack Eric

fernandoabrielli 1, I couldn't agree more. In the times of Sinatra, Nat Cole and Perry Como, great singers were taken for granted. As I think back now, I find myself thinking "hey, there hasn't been another Perry Como after all!" (And few songs as precious as this one.)

It amazes me how perfect a singer was Perry Como. The pitch is the very best among all popular singers of all times, the voice is as beautiful as Frank Sinatra's, and it is obviously effotless. His interpretations were never pretentious, becouse he was a very very humble man. There has been no singer that can sound as smooth and sincere. Perry Como is certainly one of the very best vocal talents of all ages. Regarding the "talk", no epic fail of course. It's show business, that's all...

This was recorded live; meaning that there was no room for mistakes; and w/out taking anything away from Como, with Bonfá on the guitar; I don't see how anything could've gone wrong? This is just a masterpiece!!
