I was also still kind of new to making YouTube vids and wasn't really thinking about how I should present the footage and just played as I would normally. But, yeah, that's why I smashed EVERYTHING! :-P

@H3c70rit0 You should get it. It's a great game. I am somewhat biast though as I'm a serious XBLA whore. :-P But this game is one of the best on the marketplace. For another interesting looking game, they are having a sale on "ilomilo" this week for only 400 ms points. I'll be checking that out tomorrow. it's looks like a fun little puzzler. But I highly recommend this title. It's awesome.

This game seems like the sort you play in a console. The targeting system anyway sucks, the arrow under the pointer makes me miss most shots, there should be something to disable it.

@Tylerisuber You don't have to smash everything. That's just how I play. I smashed everything open to uncover money so I could upgrade weapons and what not. You can run through if you so choose. How you play is up to you. That's the great thing about video games. Nobody every plays the same way. :-) It's freakin' awesome.

@NotoriouslyInfamouz Sometimes, people want to experience the game as it is, and not what other people think about it. You can actually mix both commentary and game audio just fine! Try making a video with both... Give a little voiceover for a minute, or a few seconds, and then do game audio for a bit. But definitely do not give commentary when the game storyteller is talking!

@NotoriouslyInfamouz It is that annoying, I don't think it's because of their opinions, mainly because of how obnoxious most of them are in doing it to the point where you can't even watch anything that's going on with the game.

You also get these morons who deliberately mislabel these videos not mentioning they have commentary that have been cropping up everywhere and then the uploaders get all defensive when people get pissed.

If you want to put commentary put another version up with it ;)

@NotoriouslyInfamouz Commentaries are good... people are just being a little sensational about it with regards to this game because Bastion actually has music and sound you want to hear. The voice acting is amazing so people are overly sensitive to the fact that some folks commentate over it. For any other game, having tons of commentary-less videos littered across youtube would get old, quick. Good commentators make most game videos fun to watch.

@rwest0 I'm pretty sure I said that for games like Bastion it works. A lot of the time there is very little reason to watch someone else silently play through a game you could easily just play through yourself. Unless you're watching tips and tricks video that shows you where a secret is or an early play test demo or exclusive recording of beta gameplay for a game that's not out -- then it is pretty pointless when you could just play yourself.
