Unfortunately for you history is against you. When the bible was put into practice Europe was backward and retarded. When the quran was put into practice the muslim world flourished in all the arts. Also if I were you I would check ur stats. More than 25% of the muslim world understands Arabic. Also if they don't they can read the translation. The same goes for your bible. hardly anyone knows the greek which leads to so much mistranslation of the txt.
@desiboyh sorry for the double post. well i think u are referring to the 11th century when muslim world flourished in science and mathematics. do u think islam needs to go through a reformation? should the koran be read as the literal word of god? one of the main change of reformation in christianity was this notion on how to read the bible. reading it literally was not practical, i think that was the reason y it lost its violent nature. does islam need the same type of change of mentality?
Honestly and I dont mean to be rude or anything. But you need to think outside of the box. The christian reformation is not the same situation that the muslims find themselves in now. During the christian reformation the christians were being very devout to their bible and it led them to the dark ages. In Islam when the muslims followed the quran devoutly it led them to the golden age. And no it wasn't just the 11th century. cont.
