You are probably right, Hammersmith80. If you mess with the glyph settings at all, you should make only very small changes. Good point about the serif vs. sans serif settings. There are no universal numbers. You have to be sure the type passes the "eye" test. Thanks for the comments.
You need to be very careful amending the justification settings, for instance a san-serif font may not appear consistenly spaced with the settings above as a serif font such as Garamond or Bembo. Glyph Scaling is not something I ever apply to text when I'm producing novels. Each to their own though!
