Actually Matt, he is singing this acoustically , its not that he does or doesnt have the range anymore, its just the way he is singing it! Artists often get bored with their own material after singing it over and over again, but folks still want to hear it,and quite frankly, he couldnt get away with playing out and Not doing this tune. so they tend to change it up a bit to help keep themselves interested.

@kevo1137 No, Stephen Jenkins was NEVER good live. His voice is best in studio recordings, watch ALL their live videos. Even when the real genius of 3eb was in the group, Kevin Cadogen, Jenkins had NO range live, just bad live. 3eb will always be horrible live, live with it. This is coming from a huge 3eb fan. Also, Tony's guitar is severely out of tune

And the point he's trying to make is just that Perkins doesn't have live vocal chops. It's not a big deal, their records are money and that means a lot. But the fact remains that he's not nailing it live.

@MGStoltzfus she's also only a vocalist who doesn't write any of her own stuff so it's literally the only thing she has to offer, whereas this guy - and rock music in general - is much more about the songs than the technical skill of the singer (bob dylan anyone?) - it would be impossible for him to sound like hers and still do everything from playing his own instruments to writing his own music to producing his own work - plus, she had a "better" voice to begin with in terms of natural skill.
