You would not think that a guy running around with a gas mask on could look good, but these are awesome! Amazing use of manual camera settings and flash.
Help :] Does anyone know what flashes is Bert using in this video? I am a beginner and don't have the money for super equipment, old vivitar flashes will do the job but I have no idea which vivitar flashes to get. I shoot canon. Thanks guys
Why this focusing trick? Wouldn't it be much easier just to use AI SERVO? I wonder how many frames it took to have a shot in focus :) Anyway, great job and nice pictures! Well done!
Why this focusing trick? Wouldn't it be much easier just to use AI SERVO? I wonder how many frames it took to have a shot in focus :) Anyway, great job and nice pictures! Well done!
I found your colors were totally increadible. I would love to know what fisheye you used and what your setting were for the "sunset" with the flash. I have never seen this in my searches - gorgeous!
Very cool! and I agree totally. We photographers can get very stale without feeding our creative urges. I was even driven to do a studio session with some beautiful artichokes this week! from Sacramento, California
I like the way you work but why don't you tell what your camera settings are. ISO B/W, F stop and Aperture. I think that knowing your camera settings will help me to understand who you came about your incredible photos better.
i'd like to rich some results as you but with my 350d and a tamy also with an ebay flash trigger, you may laugh :-) but my headache now is how to set ttl flashes with the flash trigger that doe'snt support ttl :-( those who do are very expensiiiiive, anyway your shots are very impressive, greettings!!!!
I love canon, but I wish their longer 'L' lenses were black/dark like Nikons lenses than this cream, just stands out way too much.....P.S. This vid is gr8, the idea is fantastic.
Thank you very much indeed for your videos. I read through your blog(all of them) and tried out whatever you mentioned(techniques never knew before). My skill has improved a lot within a month.
you need an adapter ring for a fd lens. The newer canons have a larger mount then the old analog once. But when looking for a fishey you better try out the canon ef one or the sigma (for AF)... a cheap alternativ would be a Peleng or Zenitar (I think thats what he is using in this video, with manual focusing).
lights? by that you mean hot lights? you would need a huge battery or a power outlet to use those. As for softboxes, it's just a light modifier, not a light source itself, and you can easily use them on flashes.
Great videos dude. You make it look so easy and so natural. Are the photos you have in the video at all in any way altered or is that exactly as they came off the camera?
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! Your pictures are amazing and inspiring!
May I just ask how much post-processing was done on these photos? And did you use any filters/ modified the saturation/contrast in the camera? Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm just at the beginner level!
