  • Hi,

Thank you very much indeed for your videos. I read through your blog(all of them) and tried out whatever you mentioned(techniques never knew before). My skill has improved a lot within a month.

  • What kind of fisheye FD lens works with the Mark II? Did you do somerhing with it in order for it to work with the Mark II?

  • Comment removed

  • great shots!! i will like to take pictures like you..

  • What kind of fisheye lense? Why flashes and not lights or soft boxes? Thanks

  • lights? by that you mean hot lights? you would need a huge battery or a power outlet to use those. As for softboxes, it's just a light modifier, not a light source itself, and you can easily use them on flashes.

  • can you please tell us the details of the Flash unit

  • Those are just a Vivitar 285HV flash...Cheap but get the job done right...bout $90 each.

  • you are amazing,i love your work and thanks for sharing with us.

I´m from México City, im sorry for my english.

Its a placer to see your work

  • Which aperture did you use to get the black backround at 1/250? It seems to be enough light to see the ground clearly at that shutter speed!

Thanks for your videos, I'm learning a lot about portraits and "flashing"!

  • I was wondering the same thing....

  • These shots are awesome. Great idea. Amazing work... I love... just a little! :D

  • This is an excellent series - really learned a lot! Hoe gaat het in Belgie?

  • is that a peleng i see?

  • Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! Your pictures are amazing and inspiring!

May I just ask how much post-processing was done on these photos? And did you use any filters/ modified the saturation/contrast in the camera? Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm just at the beginner level!

  • Bert,

I know you have a 1D MkIII and a 1Ds MkII but one of the cameras in this video looked like a 5D with battery grip. Was it? Which camera did you use when you took the shutter up to 1/250? The 5D's max sync is 1/200. If you used a 5D for this I assume you cropped out part of the photo that was unexposed...or did you use one of the 1D cameras? Thanks!

  • You must have good eyes because it isn't a 1D alright. It was my 30D with grip and that goes to 1/250.

  • that was amazing. bravoooo

  • wow .. love the last picture ..

  • amazing

  • this is excellent, thanks for taking the effort to make the video.
