100K on my 6.0 my problem. The 6.0 is Ok if you do the Preventive Maintenance. Don't mod the engine to push it beyond it's design limits and it will treat you right.

I know 3 people that quit their jobs at 3 local ford dealers because they were tired of lifting cabs off of 6.0 powerstrokes.....and my Grandpops duramax has 162k on it going across country and its never had an issue. ever.

6.0 powerstrokes in stock form are garbage but if you pull the cab off and do the right fixes they make good power.

As for the Dodge transmission comment, It's not easy to build a transmission to live behind an engine that makes 650 ft lbs. of torque

And My comment about the 3 people quitting there jobs. is THEY ARE STUPID. Mechanics at dealerships get paid pretty well for pulling cabs, and a little thing called job security never hurt anyone. I know of guys who have 220K on a stock 6.0. So, your grandpas truck is VETOED.

Basically, I dont give a fuck what you drive as long as its the big 3. Personally, Fords are easier to lift because of the leaf springs and straight axle.

I know people who got 500k out of international diesels in the ford series. My uncle put 500k on two separate motors, the old IDI 7.3, in the same truck. Now he owns a newer 7.3 Excursion for the fam. Cummins has good motors tho. So does International.

There were allot of highly publicized cases were 6.0 ambulances were breaking down whilst transporting patients. was a liability nightmare. and even ford nuts know that cumings are bulletproof..... just saying.
