Great bike! I have the same bike but 2006. I want to put in mine the same drag bar and risers. Could you tell me how many inches are those? the brand? Thank you.
Did you have to get the bike remapped or get the download from the Harley. The service dept. told me if I put the pipes on I would have to get the download at about $150.00 and 1/2 hour labor. I don't want to void my warranty. I keep getting different answers at all the forums. I don't want to pay out $200 to the stealership if I don't have to.
Everybody will give you different answers on what to do. One thing is true. Technically if you do anything to the exhaust it voids the warranty. The air cleaner is ok though. The guy at my stealer told me he's never seen a problem due to exhaust though. My experience on the fuel part of it is i got a dobeck fuel adjuster and until this summer don't think the bike needs it cause I had to leave the add setting all the way down. In the high heat is the only time i had to turn it up a little.
@alsdyna I bought an '08 dyna off a guy that cut the baffles out. It felt like there was a little hesitation so I took it to the dealer and they told me the same thing about the download. They only charged me for the download ($150) and no labor since it only took a few minutes to do, but I think that the "performance download" that I got actually make by bike run worse. I did this a few weeks ago and I am thinking about going back there and having them change it back and giving me my money back
Great sound, thanks needed to here them on the same bike as mine before ordering. Where did you get the chrome speedo mount, I can;t fine it anywhere.
@alsdyna from Yankee Engineuity. I believe they are owned by drag specalties now. its in their book anyway. warning though, it's expensive. $400 for the 3 parts of the housing (cup, bracket, and and the part the speedo goes in)
ez got a question for you i have the same bike... by anychance you got the part numbers for the risers abd bars? and did ya have to change cables with that setup? or your speedo? thanks
the risers standard 3 1/2" pullback (your preference which brand, mine a drag specialties 35 dollars i think). bars, again that's your choice. what's in the video is a standard 27" long drag bar i think they are a 3 or 5" pull back. the stock cables were used no problem, just swap every thing out. word of warning though.
the stock speedo housing makes the speedo stand straight up when you use pull back risers because of the angle. the housing in the video is made by yankee engineuity which now is also sold through drag specialties.
not cheap though, 400 for the whole housing which you have to buy in 3 parts. mine was a 0degree mount to get the speedo to lay back down some. i have since put chrome cables on and chrome switch housings and put a 32" drag bar on. just put pic of it on flickr, look for ac's dyna 1, 2,3........ and so on. if you can't find them or anyother questions let me know.
forgot i also put the harley narrow band grips on and the progressive heavy duty 11" shocks on. the shocks really give it a sweet look now. it dropped it low enough that the strut brace there on the fender (think that's what the part is) level with the top of the rim so you don't see any of the top of the tire. looks f'n sweet
Front end was just too stubbly looking for my taste. It is a ultima 5 1/4" light. Quality impressed me. They have good prices (150 for that light) but you have to buy their stuff through a dealer because they don't sell to the public i think. i am going for a bigger look up front and lower in back so i put another set of wider drag bars and lower rear shocks in since that video

love the V&H longshots on my '90 'Glide. NOTHING sounds as right as a well tuned AMERICAN big twin motorcycle. 'Nuff said.

That front lamp is sick. What motivated you to get it? I like to see what everyone does to their bikes and where they get their ideas.

Good sound. I have the same on my "09" fxdc with quiet baffles. Not to loud and not to quiet either.
