I think people who say Elenin will block out the sun are more clueless about scripture than they are about astronomy. John said Virgo would be the sign in the heavens that the dragon was about to devour the child. This prophecy is what the Hopi were saying as well.. Because both will be in the sky at the same time. Scripture says AFTER this sign will be the tribulation, and in the middle of the tribulation the sun will be blocked out.

The Virgo and Hydra are the two largest constellations in the sky. Astronomers speculate that the earth and solar system may have been spewed from the Virgo Supercluster.

Right the earth moves, and in order for the comet to eclipse the sun for three days, it would need to move at EXACTLY the same angular motion as the earth for those three days, and it is moving much faster than the earth. I couldn't believe it when I saw mrcometwatch suggest that people in the northern hemisphere would not be able to see the comet until after it crossed the ecliptic. I pointed out to him that Jupiter is now below the ecliptic but you can see it in the northern hemisphere. Some ppl just don't know
