Howard, thanks for balancing your lesson on fixing dark areas with fixing blown out areas. I enjoy finding Elements 3.0 ways of trying to copy your results (yeah, right).
The problem that I have is that in my photo there are windows and when the pics were loaded all you see are these glaring lights in the background and I have been wondering how can i fix that
Im using photoshop 7.0 and theres another method to fix an overexposed image using multiply and adjust the percentage of the lighting to suit best.Question is, when I slide the percent, I can see lines in the image. This, I can only put 98% to 100% which doesnt make much diff.Y are there lines? Or it will be okay once I flatten the image? Question 2: wats does shooting RAW means?
If you to begin with start by shooting the picture in raw, You will get mutch better results by using the RAW editor. When you'v done your best with the editor, Start by pointing out you black and withe spot. Do this by holding the alt button while changing the R,G and B channels in the levels menu. This will let you see the amount of every color you have in your highlights, midtones and shadows. After that. Start playing with blending options to get rid of outburned parts of the picture. DONE.
Its funny that this guy's videos have helped me realize that I had my idea of some Illinois accents mixed with Canadian accents because Dan Ackroyd was from Chicago in 'The Blues Brothers' but his Canadian accent poked through so much it made me think he was imitating a Chicago accent. There are similarities, but not that much.
RAW or GTFO

It's basically the same thing, but the opposite. More the highlights slider in levels, or adjust the Shadow options in Shadow/Highlights.

I will try my best with Camptasia.
Thanks Again!
