  • omg, i can't believe the U.S. made this law -- and there was no resistance.

I guess no one cares anymore?

  • Oh here is the start of the fall of rome, oh i meant America. Coming soon The Empire of America, controlled By CEO's. WAKE UP AMERICA!

  • Power....Corrupts...

    Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely...

  • Hey though...on the bright side...maybe we'll get lucky and we'll start seeing tv campaign ads where they end with something like..."This advertisement brought to you by Doritos brand snack chips "...lol. Or maybe we might see..."This bill was proudly killed by you're friends at Exxon Mobil, killing the planet one pump at a time" lmao.....ya that should be nice.

  • This is amazing to me. Tell corporations they can spend whatever they want to help out a candidate for elected office but yet at the same time limit the amount of actual money given directly to a candidate. This is exactly why government is corrupt and I wouldnt be surprised if some of the Supreme courts judges were on somebodies pay roll. Don't they think..they can just as easily say...hey ill get ya this much tv time if you help us out on this bill. Its the same as giving money. WTF?

  • No shit corporations can drown out the peoples voice. Why are so many people on YT trying to get some measure of truth? It's because they've given up on corporate media where the news and reasons for things don't mesh with reality. Corporate News is all about influencing what we think and oft times we can tell we are being lied to without even further investigations as the lies are getting more shallow and transparent. Although many of us can see thru this there are 1000 times more peoplewhocant.

  • If congress can regulate the speech of corporations, then it can regulate the speech of New York Times, MSNBC and even YouTube. Every newspaper article, televsion show or add, and every youtube video or comment would have to be vetted by government censors. THAT is fascism. Fascim is when the government controls business. Neither Nazi Germany, nor Fascist Italy nor Communist Russia had its government taken over by big business. In all cases it was usiness that was taken over by government.

  • Anyone have the video of Judge Napolitano on Fox praising this ruling?

  • Next stop: Fascism Avenue. Corporatism + corrupt government officials = FASCISM. That is a proven formula.

  • We need to Stop this, it is exactly what happened to Third World Countries, that is how they became so corrupted, Lost Democracy!

  • One thing - asset forfeiture law - as they are individuals - all the companies can be seized as drug assets - they do not even have to find drugs - happens to individuals all the time even when they are innocent - Supreme Court Decision 2003 - thanks bush cheney - we now can own your asses.

  • Hey GOP where is Dick Armey and "FreedomWorks" You know, the fake grass roots" effort Rachel Maddow got him fired for?

    PATHETIC.

  • What have the Republicans done for America lately? Or in the past couple decades?

That's what Chris Matthews pressed Republican strategist Todd Harris about during Hardball on 1-06-10.

"Tell me what the Republican party has done for this country in the last 10 to 20 years."

    Harris stayed silent.

"Thank you," Matthews said to his recurring GOP guest as he closed the segment.

Harris couldn't answer the question...Can YOU?

  • Anyone just see Jim Demint (R-SC) try to answer the (SCOTUS) question giving foreigners the ability to inject huge sums of money into our elections and influence our government, despite their legal lack of citizenship status.

    DeMint couldn't answer.

Hey Jimmy D, get up off your knees you filthy little shill.

  • @DeepElem90 Oh just like the movies Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko. Both were payed for by mostly foreigners.

The UE invested most of the money for both movies.

Where is the outrafe from Liberal Democrats.

Well of couse that won't be none. These were to Liberal maked movies to piss off liberals.

  • MrStand: You stated, "the movies Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko. Both were payed for by mostly foreigners."

    Please cite your source?

Secondly: Why would you be pissed about other countries funding U.S. intrests? The Cheney & Chimpy appointed SCOTUS just said, "Hell Yes! That's O.K.

  • DeepElem90 ~ You sure don't hear a peep from the Teabaggers about this yet do ya? I'm waiting to hear how Limpballs and The Beck will spin it for them. Nobody's really told them what to think about it yet. It's only a matter of time and Americans for Prosperity and the Insurance companies won't even need the Teabaggers anymore. We're all screwed!!!

  • Super: EXACTLY. Typical G.O.P..... Until Rush , Hannity, Beck, & O'Reilly tell them how to respond .......They just don't know what to do?

Hey (R)'s: Why do you want, Shareholders from other countries to now be able to effectively sway the votes of Americans?

Hey (R)'s Why do you hate AMERICA so much????

  • MrSTAND ~ those were movies.... he's telling you about our government being compromised by foreigners.... the Supreme Court ruling goes against the Constitution. This is not an issue of YOU vs US, we're all going to be screwed by this... 6 or so years from now and all of our elected officials will be working for the corporations (and making no bones about it) instead of for the people. If anything should get us standing together it should be this.

  • No his movies as well as him are stating that the US needs to be just like the foreigners in europe, canada and communist cuba. look hard enough you'll find most his funding came from europe.

The Supreme Court says it's unconstitutional. You and every liberal democrat deem it against the Constitution.

  • The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the Congress from making laws "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech and infringing on the freedom of the press.

When congress wrote the bill and it was signed into law was unconstitutional.

  • it's no different that congress write a bill and pass it and it signed into law. you can make videos and a party, good or bad. and upload it on youtube.

you whiny ass liberals would be up in arms over your First Amendment rights.

As of now ever union has a YT account, with videos that support their party of their choice. Or congressman, senator and president of the nation.

it just that now they can run tv ads for or against them.

  • You're comparing the funding of some movies to this Supreme Court decision? Seriously? Movies are funded by foreigners ALL THE TIME.... I don't understand your point here.

The Supreme Court says WHAT'S unconstitutional? Liberals deem WHAT against the Constitution? What are you even talking about there?

  • @SuperEvilC Kids believe anything they see in movies nowdays. But Michael Moore don't make "movies". He makes "documentary films". big difference. There's no actors. There's no script lines. Other than the setup bullshit in all Michael Moore's "documentary films".

They are made to get kids as well as grownups think one way.

Guess you are one of those that just think the way Michael Moore and the foreigners wants you to think.

That only works on the weak minded.

  • Now if Alex Jones is now allowed to air his Obama Deception on prime time TV, but had to get foreigners as well as corporations to help fund the air'ing of it. He can now.

That what Obama and the Liberal Democrats don't want.

Prime-Time Exposure of the ture Barack Hussein Obama II.

As well as any and all Liberal Democrats that is trying their damnest to ture America socialist.

Some are going to be better than the new super bowl commercials.

    I can hardly wait.

  • Corporate workers already have the right to elect their representatives, just like any other American citizen. Unions and Corporation are not People. This Opens our democracy to be Bought by any Union or Corp. with special interest. You should re-think your standpoint, our Nation is moving from Corrupted to Super Corrupted.

  • Wow.... I figured this video would have 500,000,000 views by now... guess we really are fucked!

  • LOL and here's Obama, "oh don't throw me in the briar patch".

He knows now that he'll get the backing of the world governments to press congress to vote in anyone that is for the one world goverment.

Every socialist nation will funnel money in to elect anyone that's for socialism.

Any country that believes in the same socialist agenda as Obama.

You Obama worshippers need to pay attention to what Obama said his agenda was. And that's to turn America (both of them ) to socialist nations.

  • Mr America, If it is true that the Republicans passed the campaign finance law then why didn't they defend it now? Apparently you are worried about the "one world government". Well you are going to get it because our government is being destroyed by Republicans and the global corporations such as PetroChina are going to take over.

  • @calamagrostis88

It was apealed about 3 years ago. It's just now came back up to be voted on this year.

  • What does your comment have to do with the video? Look what you Republicons have done in the Supreme Court. Fascist States of America brought to you by the Republicon party.

    Republicons are the NWO.

  • @SuperEvilC Fascist States of America, no not yet. When you see people bagging on your door with badges that say ACORN asking who all lives in your home and you don't answer and you are arrested, then it's the Fascist States of America.

Wait they can't do that, because the United States Constitution says the can't, oh wiat the Liberal Democrat obama said the hell with the United States Constitution, he said he was going to rewrite the flawed document.

  • MrSTANDFORAMERICA ~ What IN THE HELL are you even talking about? Do you even understand what's going on here? Quite throwing straw men and zingers around and try to stay on topic (SCOTUS). Did you not notice that it's always the Republicons fucking with the Constitution? Bush taking away our rights... the Republicon SCOTUS handing the country over the the muli-national coporations = Fascism USA.

  • yes I understand. The republiacns of 2002 pushed law that every democrat hated. got it passed. Then someone felt it to be unconstitutional and took it before the Supreme Court. Which the Supreme Court has the say on what is constitutional and what is not.

Being this is a elecetion year the democrats now is all for it.

Mean while obama is funnel money through ACORN to support the democrats.

But yet you are not up in arms about that.

  • MrSTAND ~ What on earth does ACORN have to do with this?

Some of the Bush violations of the Constitution - Separation of Power (waging war 9/15/01), told media not to air tapes of Bin Laden 9/21/02 (violation of free press), created PATRIOT ACT (wire tapping, etc, etc, etc), spying on political institutions without warrants, it goes on and on and is well documented...

Why are you not up in arms about mulitnational corps influencing our elections? Do you think corps are people as they say?

  • @SuperEvilC ACORN taken money from tax payers and funnel it to Obama and other Democrats is worst that Bill Gate making ad's for or against any one person or party.

Oh wait you'r e Liberal Democart. You know just like Obama this is going to help rid of thhe Liberals in congress. now the true aganda of you liberals can be seen in ad's all day and night.

    hell yeah I'm for it.

  • MrSTAND ~ "hell yeah I'm for it".... really? You are for multi-national corporations dumping bazillions of dollars into our politics? What kind of American are you? I hate to break it to you chum... if you're for corporations running our country you are indeed a Fascist.

ACORN... give me a break. ACORN helps low and moderate income people... of course your corporate masters want to discredit them. Who told you they funnel money to Dems? Any proof?

  • @calamagrostis88 that's how our system is.If a law is made, then anyoone can take it to the Supreme Court and they can deem it unconstitutional. now it's no longer law. ain't nothing Democrat or Republican can do about it.

Same as any healthcare bill the is passed. it can be taken before the Supreme Court, they deem it unconstitutional. Then it's tossed out.

Strat over and make a law that is constitutional.

Same as this law.Rep liked it,Dem's hayed it.Election are coming now Dem's hate it.

  • Mr America, It is different interpretations of the right to free speech. The Democratic justices believe that it is a right reserved to citizens and that to give that right to corporations is a threat to our democracy. The Republican justices are bowing down to the deeply un-democratic power of corporations.

  • @calamagrostis88

LOL funny it was the Republicans that had the law put in place. Wirh a fight from the Democrats.

Now that it's found to be unconstitutional, out pops the Democrats making claims, "well there goes the Constitution".

Obmaa isn't the only liar and thief. Hell every Democrat is.

  • Good night all!

  • Shareholders from other countries will now be able to effectively sway the votes of Americans.

HSBC Bank in Hong Kong would like to support Senator Lieberman - Hell, he's already on his knees puckered up on Cigna.

  • Does this mean that corporations, with whom I don't have much of a choice but to do business (ie, oil companies, health insurance, etc.) can use my payments (most likely overcharges) to create ads to support candidates and issues I do not wish to support?

  • DeepElem90:

When you do business with those corporations, you're paying for their corporate tax embedded within the cost

From you ---> Corp ---> Government

Do you agree with everything the Government uses your money on??

  • 2010: Myself, and You are the government. And as such we can affect our elected officials.....See Massachusetts on Tuesday.

  • It's been said and confirmed that the dem and rep candidates in massachusetts were funded by the same people.

  • Wow thats insane.

  • 2010:

The problem with giving corporations rights based on freedom of assembly and the freedom of the press based on being a group of like minded people who willingly join together is that they aren't.

People of all persuasions invest in and work for corporations but only the few at the top make the decision as to where to use the money.

  • DeepElem:

Absolutely NOT true. Are all teachers Democrats since the teacher's union endorse Democrats?

Yea, "We The People" = Govt. As you can see, the Democrats could give 2 shits --- threatening the nuclear option because "they've" worked so hard on it

The Constitution PROTECTS free speech... PROTECTS individuals AND businesses from the Govt

LOL. Yea, a few at the top of a Corporation makes decisions on $ --- just like the Government!! Except with the Govt, it's MY money ;)

  • 2010: You stated, "Are all teachers Democrats since the teacher's union endorse Democrats?"

NO. And why make my argument for me.

The constitution does protect free speech. However, money is NOT free speech.

You stated, "(D)'s give 2 shits?" Have you already forgot what Cheney and the Chimp did to this country?

  • DeepElem: What are you not able to follow??

You complained that Corporations do not represent the opinions of all it's employees -------- neither does the teacher's union

Yes, money is covered under the 1st amendment w/freedom of the press thru political advertisement

Why did my money gone to ACORN who worked tirelessly to elect Obama?? Yet you have a problem with a PRIVATE Corporation doing the same..

    AMAZING.....

  • **Why did my money "go"

  • DeepElem: How old are you?

What did Bush & Cheney do to this country? LOL

Do you even know who has controlled Congress for 3 years? I have a feeling you're are clueless --- thank God people are realizing now

Do you remember saying that You & I equals the Government ?

I'm reminding you that those who represent You & I... aka Democrats in Congress & Obama.... do not care that the majority do not want Govt HC. They want to push it thru anyway. That is NOT representing the people

  • 2010: You stated, "How old are you?"

    IRRELEVANT.

You stated, "Do you even know who has controlled Congress for 3 years?"

Yes. Do you remember the majority in both houses Cleetus had when he ran up the $5 Trillion Debt.

Way to go (R)'s $11 Trillion Debt under your failed policies. China owns 10% of that debt and now an (R) controlled SCOTUS, has opened itself up to the highest bidder........

And the organization with the most money in the world is - CHINA!

  • DeepElem: Your age is not irrelevant... perhaps that explains why your latest comment is HILARIOUS

End of 2000 the national debt stood at $5.7 trillion

1 year later, w/Democrats in control of the Senate, and 9/11, the national debt was at $5.9 trillion

5 years later, at the end of 2006 & two wars, the national debt stood at $8.7 trillion

2 yrs later, when Democrats controlled Congress, debt rose to $10.7 trillion

Within 12 months, debt is $12.3 Trillion and a QUADRUPLED deficit

  • 2010: You stated, "1 year later, w/Democrats in control of the Senate, and 9/11, the national debt was at $5.9 trillion."

Hey 2010: Bush had a majority in both houses during his first 6 years.

    Keep asking questions, you'll learn.

  • DeepElem:

Wrong Dipstick. Look it up. Democrats held the majority in the Senate the 1st year ---- you probably weren't paying attenton, being wrapped up in Teletubbies & all

  • 2010: You stated, "Wrong Dipstick. Look it up. Democrats held the majority in the Senate the 1st year."

WRONG: January 20, 2001: Bush was sworn-in giving the Republicans a narrow majority in the Senate with Cheney's tie-breaking power.

Don't let those little things called facts get in the way.

  • Republican Debt Legacy Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) Started: $1.6 trillion debt Finished: $3.0 trillion debt George H.W. Bush (1989-1993) Started: $3.0 trillion debt Finished: $4.3 trillion debt George W. Bush (2001-2009) Started: $5.8 trillion debt Finished: $10.8 trillion debt As Bush Jr. turned an $850 billion budget surplus into a $1.2 trillion dollar deficit, he became responsible, alone, for about 42% of the current national debt. [Wall Street Journal / November, 2009]
  • DeepElm: LMAO!! Damn you're stupid

WRONG --- Democrats held a majority in the Senate the first year. Are you too ignorant to even know how to look it up & verify??

You're such an idiot ---- obviously too stupid to even understand who controls the purse strings

Thank God people are educating themselves & we're seeing less & less of dumbasses like you

  • 2010: You stated, "Democrats held a majority in the Senate Bush's first year.

WRONG AGAIN: When Bush was sworn-in Republicans had a narrow majority in the Senate with Cheney's tie-breaking power. infoplease(dot)com

2010: Name calling only demonstrates your embarrassment.

  • To: DeepElem

Please stay out of the voting booth

  • ytdsmom: I will be casting numerous votes and a I encourage you to do the same.

  • @DeepElem90

Who gives a shit? This Right / Left paradigm has got to end. The Republicans are just as guilty as the Democrats....at least THESE Republicans

    Restore the Constitution......PERIOD.

    Bush, Cheney,..Rumsfeld..Obama, Clinton, Reagan,..Nixon....Ford...

    THEY ARE ALL GUILTY..

  • CleRoyster: You stated, "at least THESE Republicans Restore the Constitution."

Which (R)'s were you referring too? and which constitutional rights were being restored?

  • I was saying,....at least These Repubilcans...Bush,.Cheney,..et al....they are ALL GUILTY.

I also meant to say ..ONLY VOTE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION....

  • DeepElem:

    Yep.... that's right:

Under Bush, Republican Congress spent less money in 5 years, even with expenditures from 9/11, than Democrats did in just 2

    And now w/O'Dumbo & a Democratic Congress ---- the numbers are mind-blowing

Yet you complain about "Bush Spending"... LMAO

  • DeepElem:

Isn't it funny too ----- Democrats don't seem to care at all with influences from corrupt & disgusting ACORN, SEIU, etc

Nope. Democrats have trained the brains of their base. "Corporations" are today's latest & greatest villain. Those damn job creators!!

I'm sure the oil companies are glad they've moved on to a new villain

  • hahaha capitalists on one side, communists on the other and all you got was that stuped CHI shirt.

  • Who thinks that all the goodies we enjoy just fall out of the sky? Does anyone really believe that our streets are paved in gold? The nuts & bolts of this nation are the corporations. Our streets are not paved with gold, but with industry & hard work.

  • So basically, people sacrifice a bit of the comforts and "luxuries" in life, stop being so damned lazy and stand up to live TRULY free.

Sure the road to true liberty isn't an easy one, but we allowed it to go this far. I can do without my xbox and net, etc for true liberty. I am willing to walk a long hard road for it as well, just to know that the future will be brighter for my daughter and future generations, rather than a grim future where people are no longer people...but a brand.

  • Suppose that suddenly all corporations disappeared off the face of the earth. How would you post comments on utube? How would you move around w/out any transportation? How/what would you eat/wear? Where would you stay w/out corporations to build housing? With what materials would you maintain your homes? How would you watch any movies? How would you stay healthy w/out drug companies? What hospitals would you go to for treatment? The list goes on & on. Even condoms are made by corporations.

  • @Tutilost ...people have lived for centuries without corporations.....what happened to small buisnesses...small businesses are capable of producing all those things you mentioned on a smaller scale

  • EXACTLY, tswagg504. That's just the point. Big Business made big government and weeded out the little guys. Monopolies with smoke and mirrors competition is all we have now.

  • freedom, what? big business and big govt. don't get along.

  • Big business IS big government. The more big business buys into our government, the bigger the government grows...you really aren't making any sense here tutilost. Not being insulting in any way, but you're not making the least bit of sense according to the facts that lay before all of us.

  • tswag, the good ol days of centuries old? Consider the condition of mankind before organized industry was in place. Disease, poverty, horses vs modern transportation, food shortages, etc. Today, organized industry provides goods for the masses that didn't exist in large numbers back then. Through research/development, that only large corporations can afford through the sale of securities (stocks, bonds, commercial paper, etc.), the condition of mankind has improved immensely.

  • You are soooooo wrong on your assessment, its truly laughable. I hate to break this to you but our best inventions that moved us forward as a society were "NOT" made by corporations. eg..

The internet, the light bulb, refrigerators, the electric car.... the list goes on and on. We were doing just fine without them. We can continue to do fine if they disappeared this second.

  • new, are taking my post out of context? Or maybe it's just the way I phrased it. Here ya go: "Today, organized industry provides goods for the masses whose numbers have increased dramatically since centuries gone by." Better? But consider what corporations have done w/the Internet, light bulb, fridges, transportation, etc. The small businesperson doesn't have the ability to mass produce items that are in such high demand. A shortage would devestate consumers & the economy as well.

  • Then let me apologize to you. I will also say that corporations have morphed into A monetary anarchy. Hell, we dont even need the monetary system. All of thecomforts you refer to are nothing but laziness and excess. Must all products have a life span of 6months? Corporations = greed and destroy our environment, spirituality and self determination. They'll destroy themselves and everyone who cant live without their products.

  • new, no monetary system? Even the ancient civilizations had a form of monetary system. For example, the Mayans used cocoa beans, the Mesopotamians used rocks. Product life span is actually the result of competition among producers for new &/or improved products that improve the condition of mankind. With all due respect, if one's self interest is to, say, live in the forrest w/out the comforts of modern life, well ok. But the going could get rough.

  • 2 kinds of people talk like you do:

    1) People ignorant of the facts

    2) People who know and simply don't give a shit about other human beings.

    Which one are you?

  • Im not voting in a federal election anymore...Its absolutely a waste of time.

  • Let me guess,,,,the 5 judges who voted to allow corporations to rape this country,,,are the same judges who would like to see republicans take over the country in 2010 & 2012.

    HOW DID I GUESS???

  • REps and Dems alike are both one in the same...all in the pocket of Mega-corps.

  • Why did the 5 Republicons vote for this... and the Dems voted against this? Sure, the Dems have some Blue Dogs siding with the corporations, but they are not the same by a long shot.

  • @SuperEvilC because elections are coming up for one. Obama was caught useing funneled tax payers money through ACORN. Which agaisn the law. problem with you whiny ass liberal democrats. It's ok for democrats to beak the law. but when it isn't the democrats whine their ass off.

  • @Tutilost

Corporations keep America alive? Pure fantasy. Sure, they are the most powerful force in Amreica - but in fact, they are KILLING america, insofar as 'America' is about individual citizens mattering, having a voice. They are a menace to society. They have issued a crippling blow to our economy. They have defiled our environment.

They exploit millions of people around the globe.

Look in the mirror, and realize you are a true fundamentalist. Belief belying fact.

  • Your fuckin nutts! Corporations rape this country blind and could care less about you & I! Their bottom line is profit and if they see an opportunity to make more profit,,they will rape the American people buy sending jobs overseas to get cheap labor. They will layoff people and hire Mexicans for $5 an hour. They will increase their prices for goods & services and will make sure their products are less quality to save a buck! O WAIT THEY ALREADY DO THIS WITHOUT THIS LAW BEING OVERTURNED!

  • The owners of America just came out of the closet, health care checked, oil companies checked, banks checked, wall mart checked, fox news checked, Oprah checked and the average citizen get to work ass holes, clunkers and two hundred Mexican pesos for you LOL

  • A Fascist marked your comment as spam.

  • I find it highly Convient that right after Obama approved the Wall street bail out the Supreme court gives them the legal right to purchase our country?!?! There is no right and left anymore..it is only the haves and the have not's..

  • and our nation continues to plunge into darkness

  • "The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post 'Thou shalt not steal,' 'Thou shalt not commit adultery,' and 'Thou shalt not lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment."

    George Carlin (RIP)

  • "Once you leave the womb, conservatives don't care about you until you reach military age. Then youre just what theyre looking for. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers."

"The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post 'Thou shalt not steal,' 'Thou shalt not commit adultery,' and 'Thou shalt not lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment."

    George Carlin

  • Corporations are NOT all eeeevvvviiiiiiiil. keep that in mind. TODAY'S Unions? ....Well THAT is another story and the Federal Reserve? ...>>>>The beast itself. The Marxicrats ( Democrats) are trying to kill YOU and this country.

  • Stratslayer

Please SHUT THE FUCK UP..U are too fucking stupid to live..and shortly they..Big cooperations will have the power to make that (Killing useless dumbasses like you legal)

  • @Stratslayer

"Democrats are trying to kill YOU and this country"

    Just one question...

what is Our ( Democrats ) Motivation ?

Why do you think we want to kill everyone and the Country ?

what would be the Gain ?

  • Our enemies are MOSTLY on the left....Anything that gets in the way of the Marxicrats AND the UNIONS is good for America at this poit. ...Or should I say " Is LESS "bad" for America."

  • Well shit! You know what? If they'd just make it illegal for all Politicians and Justices to accept money from private entities either for themselves or their districts and mandate that the only money/profit of any kind allowed to these people is their agreed upon Pay scale, It might put a damper on some of this BS. Just an idea, I'm sure it needs work but I believe it would serve as a ward to protect our Government from greedy assholes at least until some lawyer found a loophole.

  • Its a good thing. All you simply have to look at are which judges dissented. if the liberals dissented.....it's good law.

  • And I commend you on your efforts, and that's great to hear. But being legislation, it would have to make its way through Congress...and do you honestly think the house and senate will allow this to pass being that most of D.C. is in the pockets of these Mega Corps?

  • End the fed and jail the bankers. You want to get rid of a weed you need to go for the root of the problem weed.

  • Librals, Conservatives, Republicans, Democrates, independents. The enemy of our enemy is now or friends. Finally we all agree on something and can work together 2 free us from slavery.

  • Sorry to say, a petition will do nothing. It's been tried many times. And the country has been slipping further and further out of our hands for a good number of years, my friend. Both parties are the same...puppets.

  • According to Jentz, Miller, & Cross, (2002), "A corp is recognized under state/federal law as a person, & enjoys...rights/privileges...natural...US citizens enjoy." 1st Amendment applies to corps as well, but political speech, "receive[s]...less protection than noncommercial speech," (West's Business Law Textbook, 8th ed., p. 627). The gray area of "less protection" for political speech has now been cleared up & it's a good thing as Corps create jobs, not the gov.

  • @ Tutilost...well following your viewpoints drug dealers also generate thousands of jobs too

  • Classic, what a silly thing to say. How can you compare legal corporations to illegal drug dealers? Also, the US Constitution isn't my viewpoint, it's the supreme law of the land. Don't you like the rights you, citizens & corporations get from the Constitution? Stooooooopid!

  • Looks like you all are about to lose those rights dear. Besides I understand the comparison being silly but then again the fact you give big corporations all the power over politicians you understand you got no more saying in the matter. I am not against corporations and understand they emply millions of ppl but this should not be an excuse to allow them to use their pockets to influence on the making of laws.

  • Classic, my dear the corporations have the same constitutional rights as you & me. And we the people have power over the politicians...they work for us. Plus, the more govt controls imposed on corps/free trade is tyranny to the free people as corps are publicly held entities. We the stockholders own the corps! The more the govt sticks its nose in the free market, the more it costs us, & jobs are lost. Its simple economics/finance.

  • Tutilost, I see your point, but our representatives are already heavily influenced by corporate lobbyists. Now corporations, many of which have moved there production plants to other countries for cheap labor, have a decided advantage over the average Joe. Many people have concerns as to why they lost there job and how they are going to pay for the next loaf of bread. Now they have to compete with the consolidated wealth of a corporation. This is not right.

  • @ lizardfirefighter110 - very well said.

  • lizard, yes corporations move overseas for the cheap labor, but especially for the low corp taxes/regs. Also, corps with overseas markets make the move to save on logistics costs. It's all abt cost savings/maximizing wealth of shareholders. The gov hasn't been friendly to corps, which has driven them overseas. Corps create jobs, not the gov. Supreme Court decision & repeal of McCain Feingold may not seem right to many, but may strengthen the position of corps for job creation.

  • People create businesses, which create jobs. Brand gets popular, Corporation comes in, buys name of product, shuts down factory, moves product to where ever cheapest labor is.

    Time for a sidebar:

HOLY SHI*T, YOUTUBES DOING PUNCTUATION & SPELL CHECK!! THE DEATH OF THE SPELLING POLICE. :..(

    I'm done.

I live in Southern California and within walking distance from my house there was a Delco, Kraft Foods, across the street was a Nabisco, smelt chocolate chip cookies everyday for decades. All gone.

  • Yes you are correct. However, It would be better if taxes/ regulations were past that were more friendly to corporations that actually created more jobs here at home, than to allow such influence over the market. There exist the potential for corporations to have representatives beholden to them pass legislation that puts there smaller competition at a disadvantage. Smaller less powerful companies also create jobs. Is it fair if a billionaire has more influence on the government than you.

  • lizard, yes it would be better if taxes on all US businesses were lowered in order to create more jobs here at home. Lowering taxes/regs would also induce those corporations that have gone overseas to come home. It's all about cost savings in order to maximize shareholder wealth, which is good for everyone since the wealth trickles down in the form of jobs. Lowering taxes would also lift consumer confidence to buy things, driving up orders, which drives up production, which drives up jobs.

  • Tutilost, We must seriously ask ourselves it what you say above is true, and I believe it is, then why aren't taxes and regulations modified to bring corporations home, or to keep them from leaving in the first place. I believe that this course of action would be justified because it would increase jobs and prosperity. However, the Supreme Court, instead, rules that now corporations will have the power to put their competitors out of business. This degrades competition and market efficiency.

  • lizard, traditionally most politicians are lawyers, not economists/finance managers. Having majored in law, they know little of economics. Yes, they have experts to guide them, but often those experts differ in the varioius economic models. Here's an example of low taxes in action: Ireland had the highest tax rate in europe & was the poorest among those nations. Its corp taxes were lowered to 5% & many foreign corps moved there. They became the richest nation in europe before the downturn.

  • Tutilost:

Correction: The DEMOCRATIC party, for years, has been made up of Lawyers/Career Politicians

They have absolutely zero business sense. Obama & the current Congress display that on a daily basis

  • So, in conclusion, think of this. If you think this ruling is bad and is going to cause a disaster. Please explain how we have a sitting president that is owned by SEIU,and George Soros and the previous one that was owned by Oil and Haliburton.

    Come on people, think!

The 1A must be preserved so that we don't need to resort to the next one.

Power is in numbers, the people can do that. The Tea Party has been marginalize and ignored the best they could, yet is now a force to be reckoned with.

  • This isn't as bad as everyone wants to believe it is, typical of MSNBC. George Soros and crowd were working around the law anyway. McCain'-Feingold was a joke. Remember if the liberal media is painting it as a disaster, it's probably good for the country.

This just forces them out into the open.

  • So whats the actual bottom line here? That the presidency IS for sale? That the bribes and perks will be out in the open now, and not need to be conducted behind closed doors? So now its in the open....the campaign that has the deepest pockets should be able to buy whatever position or seat they desire? Will we ever again see gov't for the people, by the people........? Better hang onto your constitutional rights, USA, before anything more changes.

  • Unbelievable!

  • Martial law here we come

  • Goddamn.... and I thought we were fucked before.

  • We can proceed with tax relief without fear of budget deficits, even if the economy softens. Projections for the surplus in my budget are cautious and conservative.

    - President George W. Bush, 3/27/01

[O]ur budget will run a deficit that will be small and short-term.

    - President George W. Bush, 1/7/03

  • Someone requested info on Gov't spending: How about some more revisionist history:

Bush Jr. has became responsible, alone, for about 42% of the current national debt.

[Wall Street Journal / November, 2009]

January 1981, Reagan declared the federal budget to be "out of control," The debt by 1988 totaled $2.6 trillion.

During Reagan, the United States moved from being the world's largest international creditor to the largest debtor nation.

  • Someone mentioned Government spending:

Here you go - The National Debt has increased from $937 Billion -- LESS than $1 Trillion -- the day Reagan took office to $11 TRILLION!!! The Debt has increased more than ELEVEN TIMES what it was when Reagan promised to reduce the National Debt by 1983!

Clinton paid down the national debt by $1.5 Trillion and gave Cletus McFucknuts and Cheney an $850 Billion Surplus.

  • A perfect example of the meaning of Fascism. A sad day for the USA.

  • Shareholders from other countries will now be able to effectively sway the votes of Americans.

This now allows someone from Saudi Arabia, China or some other country the ability to sway the votes of millions of Americans.

China could easily dump 500 billion in the next election.

  • America, the best politicians money can buy.

  • Here is the good news about the decision:

Public funding can now be used to fund a campaign. You simply invest your money into a corporation , and that money can now be used to fund a candidate whether you agree with the candidate or not.

Way to go Bush / Cheney: You two assclowns destroyed this country for 8 years and now your screw this country again with the legacy of your court nominees.

  • Guess who is responsible for this? (Mostly) Republicans and... tea party protesters. You didn't want socialism or government regulation, so you get what you want! Pure capitalism!

It's only a matter of time before corporations make laws such as...

    1. Workers are expected (forced) to move into barracks (cells) in the corporate work place.

    2. 100+ hour work weeks and 2, maybe 3 rationed meals a day.

    3. Children born within the corporate "family" are corporate property (slave trade!).

  • We're pretty much already there. Look at your Social Security card, Drivers licence, birth certificate, etc. They are contracts between you and the Corporation known as the USA. This is beyond partisan politics.

Couple that with the cookie cutter housing subdivisions, low wage jobs and the average person living paycheck to paycheck and you'll begin to see that we are already debt slaves.

With the ballot box, jury box, and soap box gone, there's only one box left and that's the cartridge box.

  • Corporations heavily backed Obama during his campaign. Since the Illuminati controls corporations they knew Obama would be an easier puppet.

  • Comment removed

  • ................. Also there needs to be some clever investigative work into the Justices finances, wealth and personal activities that ruled in the majority. Everything and anything that is directly or INDIRECTLY associated with them needs to be analyzed for any peculiar changes. This could be a case where they were payed off in some way to vote in favor of the corporations.

  • Rational not really. online donations were the BIGGEST contributors to Obama's campaign

  • We are all FUCKED your votes will not matter because they will pick the candidates this has nothing to do with left or right. WAKE UP MORONS!!!!!!!!

  • .. corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed." - Abraham Lincoln

  • Geez, this sure is a positive for the people...NOT.

I pity you Americans, you just have no clue how corrupt and evil "your" government/society is do you?

  • FrostyGreen:

Oh yes ~ coming from a person from Bangladesh, classified as one of the most corrupt Governments on the planet

  • Love to know where you get Bangladesh and besides, who classified that fact? Your govt? Geesh. Don't even bother defending the evil that is the USA. You are blind and deaf.

  • Corporations are not U. S. citizens. Corporations are not democracies! Amend the Constitution to keep corporations from being allowed to campaign. Citizens ONLY.

  • JHJennings:

Corporations are created by a PERSON(s) ---- who employee PEOPLE

Corporations (made up of 'people) should absolutely be allowed to speak out. Political positions affect the consumers & their employees. Especially this administration who has Zero business sense

As Justice Kennedy said ---- the Govt has no right to say who can speak, how they speak, nor dictate to us who we listen to

  • corporations don't care about anyone but their shareholders 2010GOP. open your eyes!

  • noneed4:

Corporations care about their Businesses which equates to JOBS for American people

The Government wants to be the only one to control your thoughts ---- you should open YOUR eyes!!

  • i am i the only one who controls my thoughts buddy

also, all of the job out-sourcing is a clear indicator of just how much corporations care about American jobs. it's only about profit

  • noneed4:

It's not possible for all employees to understand how all policies may affect the company they're employed with

Logic would tell you that Corporations speaking out against policies that affect bottom lines, would typically equate to them speaking out to help save a job in their corp

Many corporations have HQ in other countries because they are over-taxed & over-regulated. That's why Switzerland is now the #1 place for business --- they "get" it w/ Corps

  • @2010GOP

Who do you think runs the mega corporations? and what are Banker's like the Rockerfellers and Rothchilds? How about Rupert Murdock, owner of a huge portion of the media? Aren't they businessmen also? Open your eyes man.

  • IAteBrownies:

    Uhh..... and..... ??

What about NBC / General Electric / Al Gore / Pelosi ---- all invested in "green stocks". Is that not agenda for self interests??

So hysterical the Libbies are taught to hate Corporations. Where in the hell do you think jobs come from?

Just like when Democrats train their little voters to hate "big oil" --- implant "record profits" into their brains, assuming apparently their voters were too stupid to understand profit "margins". LOL

  • I'm not a liberal, definetly not, I'm also against monopolies like the govt and mega corporations. How i see it is that the goals of businesses aren't to provide social welfare i.e. jobs. Labor is mainly seen by them as a means of production.

Btw, I certainly don't support the puppets that are already in office, but i see this ruling as a way for Illuminati run corporations, like those I mentioned above, to more legally influence the ballot.

  • IAteBrownies:

Unable to determine if you're 'against' the goals of businesses or not

You too need to actually read the ruling....

  • @2010GOP

Yeah what I meant to add about jobs, was businesses don't care about giving jobs to American people, they just care about getting efficient labor for producing their products/services and that can be and is outsourced. Look I'm not against business or capitalism but deregulation does cause a new set of problems.

That's why I'm against businesses heavily influencing advertising when it comes to politics, they'll only promote what they want, not what the nation needs.

  • IAteBrownies: Who doesn't work for profit? If you invested your $ into a business & the Govt decided to take more & more, would YOU not look for ways to cut?

When Govt taxes excessively, that's essentially the Govt pushing jobs elsewhere --- nothing wrong with a corporation's warnings

Do you trust the Govt more? Seen the deficit lately? What if a company ran that way?

"Regulation" is not always good; take Dems telling banks who to lend to - not good, not to mention unconstitutional
