Just 15 days after this storm, Pittsburgh had its coldest day EVER. Records for the coldest maximum temperature (-3), coldest average temperature (-13) and coldest temperature (-22) were set on January 19, 1994.
I was in 8th and 9th grade during the winters of 1992-1993 and 1993-1994. Those were some great memories.
I forgot to add: Pittsburgh got 7" of snow on Halloween 1993 too! Making it even more bizarre was that just a couple of months earlier, Pittsburgh flirted with 100 degrees to close out the summer! Pittsburgh seemed to have a lot of extreme weather during the 1990's.
whatever happened to Scott Baker..i know hes been gone for a long long time but did something happen or did he just quit? i thought there was some controversy or something
Look at those graphics at the ChromaKey! Amazing that was only 16 years ago. But still got the job done. :) Nice video though, good quality capture. I wish I would have taped a few things :)
So great to see this again. I was 14 and this happened right after Christmas, so we got an extended Christmas vacation. We haven't gotten snow like this in so long. It's Odd, that March and the following January we got hit with 20+ inches.
I was in 6th grade this year and we had a massive amount of snow days and delays during the month of January 1994!

@poorringo Right the one thing that sucked then is that we all had to make that up those days for school.
