  • how high that that go?

  • dude that is so cool! good you had a parachute on it dont want to waste 500,000 dollars LOL

  • were do you get the onboard cameras

  • awesome video!!

  • Air to Air missile? this thing is not going to kill any aircraft? nice rocket but no AMRAAM

  • @okmer333 Its just a model of an AMRAAM, not a real one.

  • It looked like it had explosive diarrhea at 0:18 rather than a parachute

  • damn man who needs an airplane. just hook one or two of these in back of ya jacket and fly to places. only one problem . safe and alive landing is not guaranteed LOL

  • When the chute comes out on the normal speed video it sounds like a fart.

  • Interesting watching the tube flex.

  • three thumbs up.....oh wait....down boy...down!!!

  • maneiro kra esta de parabens, eu vou fazer um tomarroq e tak na casa da minha sogra...

  • 0:57 is that a giant white dick on the left?

  • so this is how NASA started but obama ended it

  • Man, we need to get these strapped on some GA aircraft and go to town!

  • failed to achieve orbit

  • wow cool

  • thats cool.

  • 1:35 rocket diarrhea

  • Considering the fins are bent a little, it was a very striaght flight.

  • that was a cool parashute deply method

  • Great video!! It looks like the body is flexing during the ascent!

  • why did the footage stop at the parachute deployment? is it because the parachute covered the camera lens?

  • 0:17

    google earth :)

  • @SAAD2001S What?

  • what kind of engine c 6-5?

  • hae how did you get it to seperate?

  • Have fun finding it

  • Nicely done. I especially liked the inset ground footage!

I presume that wobble under thrust is the camera mount vibrating, not the airframe. You'd be picking up pieces if the body were wobbling that much!

  • I wondered how they got Google maps...lol.

  • What is the music ?

  • Jesus it's beautiful, does rocket have gyroscope or not?

  • You know what "AMRAAM" means rite? It doesn't mean i wanna watch vids of model rockets ^^

  • @Ascend3r aint AMRAAM like Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile equiped on fighters

  • @codebreather it is.

  • You should have kept the descent footage.

  • i'd strap 3 of these together, and bring a parachute for me.

  • pred incoming

  • I have a model rocket similar to that (about the same proportions but different styling) and I haven't shot it since I lived in California Lol it went over a mile high.

  • If I'm not mistaken, any model rocket that goes above 3,000 ft. you have to call in to WX and report your plans. You also have to have active radio contact with ATC (air traffic control).

  • wow. anyone know how many Gs is that pulling at lifoff, and for how long? I wonder how it would compare to a top-fuel dragster stats (4-second quarter mile)

  • nice one

  • thats a heavy camera too

  • thats epic

  • Sure looks better than the Estes Cineroc we had during the early 1970s.

  • Dude! You could see the curvature of my house!!!

  • Look how flexibel that rocket is

  • D'awwww I thought this was an actual weaponized missile being fired at mach 5.

  • what if it hit an helicopter or a balloon or a UFo it might start an intergalactic war. what if it hit a whooping crane, man you need to shoot untill it hits somthing cool.

  • Qassam rockets are far more fun.

  • obviously dont care bout the cam do ya?

  • Fake

  • weee the G-force CAN YOU FEEL IT!!!!!

  • So how high were we at apogee here?

  • This must be taking 10+ g's on acceleration. The tube is really flexing.

  • lol i paused it at 0:37 and i caught the image of the parachutes deploying mixed with the preveious image...trippy

  • is this legal? i suppose you cant just fire a rocket like that whenever and wherever you want right?

  • @alekxu actually, you can, it just depends where you are

  • I made on one in my Engineering class, 18".D MOTORS.

  • Dear Santa....

    P.S. Be quickly fat ass!

  • What you used as fuel

  • @SunnyShawFilms orange juice

  • I wonder if its due to videogaming, but when the rocket engine stopped making noise, my brain immediately said "Well thats not good"

    I lolled.

  • @Lollocide Ahahaa..no shit

  • Dosen't AMRAAM mean Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile?

  • @AdamB9098

Correct! Although, this must have been a test fire with no war-head ofcourse!

It has 2 other surface-to-air verions called

"SL-AMRAAM" (identical, but fired from the ground), and

"SL-AMRAAM EX" equiped with a rocket booster and therefore has medium-long range.

Hope this information have been informative. =]

  • CHE FIGATA!!!!!

  • I am pretty sure if i was a fighter pilot and i saw that launch at me i would launch a counter attack straffeing the whole area it was launched from

  • Damn man you could shoot down a plane with that thing. How high and fast did it go?

  • better than anything Iran has

  • @DEEHARDONE good 1

  • @DEEHARDONE wow what a redneck dumbass nerd

  • @castorabc9 no u

  • @nealshireman shut up, fuckin rednecks! u hate how everything is about fighting, war, ect, fuckin gringo fags! america is THE WORST COUNTRY ON EARTH!

  • @castorabc9 cool story, bro

  • @nealshireman thx dude! hahahahaha :) damn it didnt work i like makin people mad on youtube wen im bored, i didnt mean shit haha well bye

  • @castorabc9 america is a continent, not a country

  • @pulsarcolosal Canada and mexico obviously don't count then...

  • @PaulBilobrowka that doesnt make any sense

  • @pulsarcolosal COOL!

  • @castorabc9 thanks for not taking it the wrong way :)

  • @pulsarcolosal lol idc, i ment united states, plus, i was just kidding around, its fun when people start youtube comment wars lol

  • @castorabc9 lol you are right you got me

  • @DEEHARDONE nobody speak your retard language bastard!! xD

  • @DEEHARDONE ...then why is the US and Israel scared, I mean seriously with these they can't even kill a mosquito let alone destroy a human target. Seems again, just like Iraq, the retarded intel of the CIA is well..RETARDED. Only an inbred would ever work for the swine that is the CIA. WMDs my fucking ass!

  • that was really cool

  • what fuel do you use for this kind of rocket?

  • Model Rocketeer: 3..2..1.. LUANCH!!!

Jet Pilot: We have a confirmed launch, relay this intel to HQ... Bail now!!

    2 minutes later....

Jet Pilot: Why does that SAM have a parachute?

    *jet Crashes*

Model Rocketeer: XD ROFLMAO, LOL XD

  • @wyattcon11 HAHAHA!

  • Awesome video ***** Stars.

  • yeah maybe add 10 pounds of explosive get a thermal sensor, build a launcher and then lock onto a jet fighter ha ha back yard fun more like it

  • Mini Javeline missle

  • Kim Il Jong called, he wants 20 of these.

  • incredibly fast.. what speed is it?

  • seems like it was going up forever

  • Very good work

Thank you for sharing it with us

  • Police show up... What did I do? You aimed a rocket at a plane XD

  • nice vid

  • looks like a new north Korean missile to me lol

  • very cool

  • Why not call it "GAY TOY BOAT" - thats closer than your description.

  • This a toy....not a missile..:/

  • To every one sniveling "it's not an amraam", it's a flying model of an AMRAAM ya goofy fuckers.

  • @TaintedMojo So call it a model of an amraam and not an amraam you sniveling retard.

  • @AngstFisch They shouldn't have to cater to mental challenged people such as yourself you mincing ponce.

  • Any guess what the altitude might have been on that "burn"... that was a sweet camera shot

  • Not an AMRAAM.

  • Nice how you can get to that altitude whit a rocket engine that only works 5 seconds!!! My KNO³ rockets burn 15 seconds, but they don't get as high as this one :(

  • dude that was awesome

  • @turboboosttouchdown Your an idiot...this thing went up on something several times the size you are dealing with...

  • alien speaks

  • how far up does it go?

  • How come it tends to spin along the vertical axis? There are no rotating blades, there shoudn't be any torque isn't it?

  • @Iboxx there is weight in the nose, once it loses thrust it will tend to point down because of the drag from the fins

  • @Iboxx and if you mean rotation then any slight misalignment in the fins will cause it to rotate, even just 1mm can cause it to spin...Frankly he did an excellent job aligning those fins as I have seen rockets that spun several times per second during boos.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • I used to fly my AMRAMM alot when I was in a club. flew it mostly on the hot I435 and a few J motors twice on K550 it was badass. One year it made it on to the cover on the rocketry mag, a small inset but the cover none the less. After 9/11 to many road block to getting good motors and price went way up so I sold all my stuff except a few rockets the AMRAMM hangs in the garage and is always a good convo starter.

  • @whiskerbiscuit1965 yeh i hear yah , but you know things have settled back down now i almost did the same as you but all my birds are scratch builds , with all the man hours i have in em i just couldnt let them go , i've since pulled my birds out of mothballs and am picking up pretty much where i left off , i should be back up and flying in a few months hopefully in time for the 4th ;-)

  • That is the discovery channel music in the backround

  • let me guess . . everyone who has posted on here is a teenager , right?

  • what engine did u use?

  • I used to shoot rockets off as a kid. The biggest one I had was the ESTES Camanchee 3. I think it's max alt with all three stages and largest engines was around 2,000 feet. It was pretty cool.

  • The picture in picture is annoying.

  • jamcrane3. Yes. You need to obtain clearance from the FAA if you plan to go past a certain altitude. I think it's anything greater than 10,000ft where you need to request clearance.

You have to be nowhere near an airport for obvious reasons.

  • wow i have not seen many rear ejecting rockets.

  • wtf was that cling i have never had that happen on my rocket

  • it was somthing inside hitting he wall when the chute pulled

  • You could scare the shit out of a jet crew with that!

  • It would be like incoming 9 aclock!

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT THING?!?!

  • Man if that hit a jet fighter who knows what would happen...

  • It would be a bad scene to be sure.

I wonder if model rocketry groups give notice to the military and civil aviation authorities before holding these events?

  • I'm young right but when I launch them of my property never warn no one because I tie em to a post to stop them form taking of but I am launching tonight!

  • I hope...

  • I used to do a little model rocketry when I was young. Do you build your own or buy them pre-made?

  • I make my own engines just gottta get duck tape to rapeh them in so the pipe wont melt any more...

  • Yea I tested my rocket fuel out yester day witch was kno2 (stump rotter) and surger and golden suripe and cooked it anbd when I tryed to test it in a rocket I had to hammer it in to the pipe and it broke the fuel but has some left so keeped it in the freezer and then yesster day I tested the r candy in the freezer and holy my hole front yard was gased out at day time so I bput it out and it was still smoking under the water! I am now working on a electric fuse wire for the rockets.

  • @StudioxXx777 world war III would happen

  • wat size engine

  • what is it made of?

  • at 1:19 on the left I see an alien life form type of scar on earth

  • lol wtf? cool video!

  • Awesome i like the sound!! LOLZ

  • MINCHIA!!!!!

  • beautiful

  • how high?

  • wow :D looked awesome

  • hi mate have can i do auto ignition on the roket like whit remote conrol or same way around to be safe distance.

    thankyou

  • O M G

  • omg dude

  • that went high!!

  • Long burn time. Cool.

    Shit music tho dude. lol

  • Nice Rocket. Just keep it away from OliverFehrle.. lol

  • nice work!

is it possible to shoot such a rocket out of the atmosphere in to the space/an earth near orbit? that would be cool :D

  • not with these rockets.

  • may I ask why? of course it needs more fuel and therefore it has to be bigger.

    or are there other problems?

on the other hand, it cant be easy...if it were youtube would be full of vids where people shooting rockets into the space ^^

  • These little rockets would burn up in the atmosphere before they got to space

  • what how? they wouldn't go fast enough

  • thrust is not very affective at leaving earths gravity. YOu are throwing stuff from the rocket to create a thrust up. To go into orbit would require such a large amount of mass to be THROWN from the back to create thrust that you probably could not carry the rocket, and would need several cranes. most of the mass would be wasted in this fasion. space shuttle for instance. 95% of mass is wasted only to car 5% of stuff worth something...(percent might be off, but you get the pt)

  • Your percentages are very close to what a book of mine says, at 90% fuel to carry 9% structure and 1% payload. It would have to reach a speed of 11 kilometers/second to escape earth's gravity. It takes tons of fuel to reach this speed, and the more fuel you have, the more energy (read: fuel) you need to accelerate that fuel (F=m*a or a=F/m), and on the cycle goes up to a minimum mass...of which I do not know. Cool video though.

  • Well, the main issue is that motors big enough to get a rocket into space are expensive, and have to be custom made.

  • so high did it go up in the air then ????

  • nice nice

  • how high is that before the chute deployed?

  • Oh, Damn, i saw this on youtube already but it showed the part after the camera came off

  • you suck

  • woah this is awsum

  • Imagine that speed for 100-120 miles. I think that's the max range of a real AMRAAM.

  • I love it wen at 1:25 the thrust stops and u can hear the wind just wistling away!! plz mre vids lol

  • where do you buy this camera?

  • how high did it go?

  • 1900 ft. I watched the real person who did this video.

  • coolest rocket ride ever...5*'s

  • how fast does the rocket go?

  • Very fast.

  • urm, yea .. like what kmph?

  • Hobby rockets like this usually accelerate up to 1500 / 2000 km/h before they run out of fuel.
