Hi..i m a biggner in ubuntu..

i have recent installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my Intel Pentium 4 wid Nvida Gt 700, 2 gb Ram and 580 gb HDD...

the problem wih my ubuntu is that..i cant connect to internet (DSL)..i know it automatically connect to internet on DSL..

but i dont know y it is not connecting on this PC...

i have also installed it on my Laptop where it works fie..

and on another computer and it also work there fine..but it is not connecting to internet..can u plz plz plz plz plz plz...help.

hey pcwizkid, i was wondering if dual booting ubuntu 9.04 was as easy with vista as it is with xp. i just inserted the cd when i was in xp and i installed it as an application. Will this work with vista, i m not willing to experiment because this is my new laptop. THX

Nice little addon. I would stick with Ubuntu ( i really like it) but for some reason video and sound do not work right with my newly built PC. The video looks grainy, even .mkv files in VLC media player. And the sound, well it doesn't even output sound for some weird reason. Ubuntu (and basically any other distro other than Mint) takes time to get it set up properly.

Mint has all the codecs and everything needed from the get go but I still find it inferior to Ubuntu.

ubuntu is an awsome open source operating system that has alot more features than xp, you just need to work a little harder to find programs for it or how to use "wine" which will run most windows programs
