(SPOILERS) She's part of a splinter faction of T-models that are fighting against Skynet. She still kills - but she only seems to be inclined to kill people who've wronged her (or agents of Skynet). That, and she took Weaver's identity (and parental care of Savannah) when the original Catherine died.
