It has taken me great time and effort to research these things however. Have you invested the time? I could easily be very angered at being deceived as a child, but thankfully thats not who I am.
@romansten9 It was actually looking into things like Evolution that helped me to understand the world around me wasn't as people around me believed; if something didn't fit with a certain claim, I could tell, even as a child. It's since I've gotten older that my skepticism has pointed me towards what is comfirmed to be true; I can also look at the finger, not just where it's pointing to.
I compare the claims presented to me, then match the ones that reflect reality & Evolution reflects reality
@Tarynus Thats interesting. For myself, I need to know the reason behind things, and how things work. I generally don't accept something unless there are very good reasons to accept it, (including evidence)
I've questioned the validity of Christianity for many years. Some questions are easy and others more difficult, but my faith has increased for several reasons. Life makes much more sense to me with a Christian worldview. Its much easier to predict what will happen in life as well.
@Tarynus When I look at (what I call) creation, I see design everywhere, and to me this reflects a reality that extremely complex things MUST have had a designer. I have seen accounts in which fossils have been altered to support false evolutionary claims as well. The evidence simply isn't there.
@romansten9 You talk about having an open mind, but your mind is locked to the fact that Evolution is the best theory we have to the workings of life; the evidence IS there, but you're just choosing to put your fingers in your ears, close your eyes & hum loudly instead of listening to what is pointed out to everyone.
You keep making reference to Evolution like it's a religion, so you can bring it down to a Theistic level & claim "Evolutionists are brainwashing everybody!" It's very childish
@Tarynus Probability studies have shown that even the simplest cell could not exist unless having been designed. Trillions of years would not have been enough time. In fact, even protein molecules would be extremely unlikely to have formed with virtually unlimited amounts of time. I've seen claims by evolutionists that attempted to show otherwise, but I wasn't impressed with their claims. The complexity we see in the world essentially "screams" design. Its quite overwhelming.
@Tarynus As for fossils, I might be impressed if there were more "transitions" represented. I'd be interested in knowing which fossils have impressed you the most.
.... *sigh* Let me spell it out for you: EVERY FOSSIL IS A TRANSITION, there are no fish-cats, no croca-ducks, it does not work that way. Every iteration of a form is a change toward another, there is no point where I could show you fossils transitioning from wolf-like to whale-like and you could say "there's the point", because you'd point to a hole between two and say "here's where it changes, I want this fossil".
@MakoSharkX . Let me use your words in responding to you:
*sigh* Let me spell it out for YOU.
I never said any of the things you claim and I already know how your beliefs are supposed to "work"
The problem is that there are a few trillion connections made (in evolutionists heads) and those of us that like to see evidence aren't making the same connections. Its bad enough that evolutionists have been known to fabricate evidence. Sounds rather desperate and sad.
@romansten9 "those of us that like to see evidence". No, you obviously don't want to see evidence. Otherwise you would educate yourself and just look up the things you want to know. Espescially for english speaking people there are plenty of sources for these topics. If you want to see something like "transitional fossils" (not that these are necessary to accept evolution) you can e.g. go to talk origins and see the impresing list.
@romansten9 For me the most exciting and convincing facts are from genetics. The problem is that you need a profound understanding of genetics to see these interesting things. So it is problematic to present these facts to a lay audience. And it is sad to say but I don't see it very often that creationists even understand what evolution is or have this scientific background. If so most discussion would take place.
The problem is not only ignorance, the caller is clearly completly ignorant. The problem is also arrogance, he thinks he is the best species there is.
why the fuck is anyone listening to this fucking proof that evolution is wrong? Obviously evolution is wrong, does anyone think this moron is of the same species?
@pandstar The half life of carbon is 5730 years, just about everything has carbon. If the earth was millions of years old it would be space dust. I just disproved evolution. Go have fun being afraid of death. Think to yourself what makes more sense one thing from nothing creating everything(God), or everything from nothing. Ive given you a good reply now you give me one
The half life of CARBON-14 has a half life of 5730 years. Carbon-14 is radioactive, carbon is not. 99% of all carbon on earth is carbon-12, carbon-12 does not decay.
But what does any of this have to do with evolution?
Evolution is a biological science. What does biology have to do with radioactive decay?
@pandstar Ok I admit you got me on the facts of carbon,( I slapped my forehead) however everything decays. Decay and disproving evolution go hand in hand, because an earth and other planets couldn't survive even a million years let alone 4.4billion. By that time all the elements that compose the earth would have decayed thier is no denying that. Also Im not a moron I just dont always think before I post.Watch Ben Stiens vid on the subject of evolution.
@conservative95 The CIA, FBI, ATF are completely under Jesuit control. The Jonestown massacre, the Waco massacre and other massacres(including the Twin Towers) were all orchestrated to cause worldwide abhorrence and demonization of any group that seeks to get out from under the control of the worldwide Jesuit influence, domination, subversion and infiltration.
Using a light year as a distance measurement has another advantage -- it helps you determine age. Let's say that a star is 1 million light years away. The light from that star has traveled at the speed of light to reach us. Therefore, it has taken the star's light 1 million years to get here, and the light we are seeing was created 1 million years ago. So the star we are seeing is really how the star looked a million years ago, not how it looks today.
The most distant galaxy discovered so far is about 13 billion (with a 'B') light years away. This shows that due to the measure in distance, that the time it sent the light we are seeing now was 13 billion years ago. Not 6000 years, 13 BILLION years and about 750 million years after the big bang.
Ergo, your uninformed theory of decay is not only wrong, but almost criminally ignorant.

This show is the devil. Anyone who breaks down someones faith for something better is evil. How can you have a faith in nothing. We just live in a polluted and diseased world and this is as good as it gets? I hope not I would feel cheated.
"[...] and this is as good as it gets? I hope not I would feel cheated."
Why do you think there has to be something better, and why do you feel you/we deserve it if there is? We're born, we live, then we die and stay dead. I'm fine with that; others aren't, and that's why religion exists.
"We have faith in nothing" - up to a rephrasing, that's correct: "atheists don't have faith in anything." We have expectations and beliefs based on previous experience.
Matt you made a real omission here: your caller's point is questioning the extreme level of tool use by man compared to the very low level of other tool users. I can see his point (sort of). He's asking why we don't see another great ape making fire, cooking food, making stones tools, or fashioning meteoric iron into artefacts.
The answer is of course, is that humans do not suffer such a species to exist. And if one did now, we would wipe it out in very short order. Like we did with Neaderthals
@M0b1u5 I think that your explanation is partially true, but it can also be explained by divergent evolution; for example, we don't walk around with huge gorilla arms because our species evolved mainly in brain function at the expense of physical factors. Other great apes just had different gene mutations that resulted in different traits.
@M0b1u5 I apologize, I didn't watch the entire video before replying; I didn't realize that they actually made those exact same points in the video. :p Oh well, more information in the pot, haha. Redundancy never hurt anyone.
There are animals that are superior to us humans when it comes to speed, size, sense of smell, vision, lungs, flying/hover in the air, swim under water for hours or even the entire life. Just look at eagels. They can fly, we can't. They can detect mice that are far away, we can't. They can hear mice without having the ugly blobs around the hearing organs. Just look at a stupid ugly fly and try to chase it with the palm of your hand and kill it.
@Quasi84 It's true that we can't fly, don't have fangs, poison, thick protection, speed or size. But through our brains we have spread and "conquered". More importantly, we have invented technology that has enabled us to understand the workings of the universe.
@smb12321 But still, it's easier if we could just fly by ourselves. Also, the universe is more complex than you can imagine. If you think you understand quantum mechanics then you do not understand quantum mechanics.
@Quasi84 I've never understood statements like that. "I don't understand something therefore it's not understandable." Yes, some aspects of quantum mechanics - an enormous field - seem contradictory, inexplicable & strange. Yet, as is the nature of science, tests have repeatedly confirmed these strange qualities.
I think along the lines of Einstein philosophically. I'd like a universe with an underlying mathematical purity - no dice playing!
@smb12321 I was quoting Richard Feynman with a bit of ironi.
And I'm not saying that something is understandable. I can live with "I don't know, but I care less since it doesn't effect my day to day life." which is unlike what religious people say. "I don't know, so God did it."
Just because I say "I don't understand" doesn't mean that "God did it", it means that we better look more into it. We've scratched the surface of what science has to offer.
@Quasi84 LOL. I apologize and I DID think you were one of those posters all starry eyed about the mysteries of supernatural beings. I too think we've only scratched the surface but the scientific illiteracy of people in general (it;s not better in other countries) makes explanations difficult.
Even Chimpanzees are superior in strength, several times stronger than a bodybuilder and superhuman short term memory. Our short term memory is RETARDED in comparison. YouTube search chimpanzee memory.
We are pretty unique in one sense. We have evolved to the point where we are intelligent enough to be totally, stubbornly, arrogantly, ignorantly WRONG about lots of things. Reuben proves that every time he calls.
@FlashFizz Or they may be the descendants of extinct ancestors & super intelligent beings that have traversed space and time. These beings may be able to communicate with dimensions of consciousness & reality we don't yet understand. They may realize that Matt Dillahunty is not correct and do in fact have a transcendent purpose. They may also realize that spirituality, religion & science are all equally important factors in understang the Universe. They may even descibe evlution as a ladder?? =O
Reuben's question has gotten answered a lot of times, as wel as many more questions he's asked. He's an idiot that doesn't REALLY care about answers, he's just going to keep saying, "We're special, cause I said so, and God made it that way. I win."
Evolution is such a beautiful and fascinating phenomenon, it's really too bad people let their religion and their pride for our species get in the way of investigating in. People want to feel like they're a part of something grand. What's grander than an unbroken lineage of successful life that has survived for billions of years? We are amazing, and it's because we have evolved, not because some god popped us into existence.
@GuacamoleKun Thank you! I completely agree. A lot of people seem to think evolution is demeaning but I think it gives us and every other creature on earth more dignity and more of a right to be here then god just making it so.
@fuckmania07 Can you prove that Satan exists and can you prove the virgin birth and resurrection of jesus? the bible is not proof. if you really think it is proof then why don't you get your information from the quran? The quran is just as credible as the bible and if you don't think so then congratulations you're an idiot!
@fuckmania07 So says a jesus freak with a profane username like "fuckmania". Could you try any harder to be a complete joke? Are you just a POE troll?
@fuckmania07 Congratulations you are an idiot! lol. 'fuckmania'<-LOL! if anyone is going to hell it's you for your hypocrisy and judgmental attitude towards atheism.
Did you know that we humans used to produce vitamin C naturally like all animals do, But we no longer produce Vitamin C. Pretty cool fact. When are you goin to lay an egg haha. But I still believe in my God of all creation. I also love to learn all things, well try to haha. I don't know to much of Evolutiion yet still learning.
Humans never produced vitamin C. Our distant ancestors did, but at some point they lost the ability. Probably because they were fruit eating primates.
@Velvetdrummer well i suggest you look up a site that these guys quite often plug, it's called talkorigins org
obviously replace the space with a . there since youtube doesn't allow website posting. It is a very definitive explanation of evolution and actually shows the undeniable evidence of evolution and all the "transitional links" that a lot of creationists claim to be missing. You can still believe in your god, but sorry to say humans were not created. We evolved into what we are now
Btw I am an experienced computer programmer and you might ask how is that relevant? Well there are many software concepts similar to the Evolutionary Hierarchy! The concept of binary trees and inheritance in object oriented languages is analogous to how biological evolution works!
@dudev You're right. But that's why the quotes, to make it clear that there are goals in evolution, just facts and processes. Apparently the quotes didn't make that clear enough. Thanks for clarifying my meaning.
Umm... Humans evolved to be smart because intelligence helped them survive. Those humans/pre-humans that were smarter were able to survive. Giraffes evolved to have long necks because that helped them get leaves high up in the Savannah trees, it helped them to survive. Cheetahs evolved to be very fast because it helped them survive, to catch their prey. It all comes back to evolution.
Atheists and Evolutionists have hearts of stone, and few will convert to creationism regardless of the facts. Evolution has made Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins millionaires. Atheist don't want to believe in God because of judgment. They can carry on their life styles of adulterers, fornicators, homosexuality, egoist, drunkenness, lying, covetousness, theft, fraud. Delusional in their own minds, they believe they can in engage in such vile conduct with impunity. So why believe in GOD.
faith is a primitif way to explain thunder and sunrise and other things that cavemen could not explain, maybe my point of view is ignorence, but if you look at it,
wat cant we explain with science? and if that question is answerd, a religius person says its god
That lady really pisses me off. She shits on as if she knows everything and is so smart but in fact she is really bad at articulating ideas and can't even give a logical coherent answer to this straightforward question.
@mpdp85 I agree. She's got that smug "I know it all, let's wait for the next idiotic question so I can show how well read and clever I am". She wasn't expecting the true genius/idiot-savant reply to her question "what animal has a longer neck than a giraffe? "....."A snake muh-be?" LOL
@dutchbb1979 This was a brilliant example of one of her poorly thought out and poorly articulated arguments. I'm not saying it was incorrect, i am saying it was a terrible way to communicate the idea.
I don't understand why these guys still accept his calls. I think they've stopped now, but even back then, they shouldn't have let him call back after two tries, asking about the same stupid shit.
@bdf2718 I don't know. Matt can get really frustrated at times. I guess they just have to show respect or something. I mean, they can't just take his call and hang up on him without him spouting a single word, I guess.
It scares me that people as illogical and stupid (I don't like to use this word for anyone, but it's so appropriate here) still exist in one of the most advanced, richest societies on the planet...
@x2thay right about ?? There's nothing sexy about a grown woman who believes in fairy tales like talking snakes, talking bushes & invisible magic men on clouds..lol
For 'the love of God". Biology 10th grade : Bipedalism. Humans were able to create technology because they stand upright and have opposable thumbs which means they can take objects and pretty mcuh do whatever they want with their hands because they don't have to walk on them
Reuben calls in ALL THE TIME. He was "Kevin" - "John" - "Rod" and "Reuben" if that is in fact his real name...and he asks THE SAME ASS QUESTION every time.
There used to be competing Human species, too. If there were different species TODAY with the same capabilities as humans we'd be at war with them fighting over resources until one made the other extinct.
Also, I believe that it isn't possible (or very unlikely) that more than one intelligent species would coexist on the same planet. If we ever find the ability to have fluid conversations with dolphins, and then we discover that they're more sophisticated than we are, out of pure jealousy humans would kill dolphins. (Give me a break, it's 3AM.)
i find it amusing that people think humans are so evolved when most of our deaths are caused by our own species. drinking, smoking, car accidents, cancer caused by unhealthy food, lazyness, overpopulation, obesity, war (political/religious) and stupidity. yes humans are evolved and i think the human race are amazing but we have just as many, if not more flaws than most of our animal relatives. find another species who just sits around and eats and gets fat until it dies from a heart attack.
@420simpson In a way, the fact that we can sit around and get fat and die from it is *due* to our success. We are the only species on the planet that isn't fighting desperately to get enough food to survive. Thanks to science, we have an overabundance of food. Granted some areas of the world are still starving, but that's more due to political or economic problems, not that we physically can't get enough food.
@420simpson Species do exist who will literally eat themselves to death such as horses if given ample grain will eat and eat till colic and death without human intervention...
@parkert51 Duuuude a horse in the wild will not find enough grains to kill them, if it wasn't for people selecting and farming massive amonts of oat (or whatever) in a confined area, that(being eating them selfs to death) would never happen.
@parkert51 Yes that is possible, but a healthy horse with enough food would not eat something it's "allergic" to. There are plants and things that horses can't eat and a hungry horse in the wild would just keep walking til it found something that it wouldn't get sick from eating. A domestic horse is keept in a confiend area and when it gets hungary it can take a chance and e

@Tarynus As for fossils, I might be impressed if there were more "transitions" represented. I'd be interested in knowing which fossils have impressed you the most.
romansten9 3 months ago
@romansten9 "transitions"
MakoSharkX 3 months ago
@MakoSharkX . Let me use your words in responding to you:
*sigh* Let me spell it out for YOU.
I never said any of the things you claim and I already know how your beliefs are supposed to "work"
The problem is that there are a few trillion connections made (in evolutionists heads) and those of us that like to see evidence aren't making the same connections. Its bad enough that evolutionists have been known to fabricate evidence. Sounds rather desperate and sad.
romansten9 3 months ago
@romansten9 "evolutionists have been known to fabricate evidence. Sounds rather desperate and sad. "
Coming from a creationist that is far more than desperate and sad, it's laughable.
MakoSharkX 3 months ago
@romansten9 "those of us that like to see evidence". No, you obviously don't want to see evidence. Otherwise you would educate yourself and just look up the things you want to know. Espescially for english speaking people there are plenty of sources for these topics. If you want to see something like "transitional fossils" (not that these are necessary to accept evolution) you can e.g. go to talk origins and see the impresing list.
fire112germany 1 month ago
@romansten9 For me the most exciting and convincing facts are from genetics. The problem is that you need a profound understanding of genetics to see these interesting things. So it is problematic to present these facts to a lay audience. And it is sad to say but I don't see it very often that creationists even understand what evolution is or have this scientific background. If so most discussion would take place.

conservative95 4 months ago
@conservative95
You're a moron.
The half life of CARBON-14 has a half life of 5730 years. Carbon-14 is radioactive, carbon is not. 99% of all carbon on earth is carbon-12, carbon-12 does not decay.
But what does any of this have to do with evolution?
Evolution is a biological science. What does biology have to do with radioactive decay?
pandstar 4 months ago
@pandstar Ok I admit you got me on the facts of carbon,( I slapped my forehead) however everything decays. Decay and disproving evolution go hand in hand, because an earth and other planets couldn't survive even a million years let alone 4.4billion. By that time all the elements that compose the earth would have decayed thier is no denying that. Also Im not a moron I just dont always think before I post.Watch Ben Stiens vid on the subject of evolution.

We still see stars? No?

M0b1u5 6 months ago
@M0b1u5 I think that your explanation is partially true, but it can also be explained by divergent evolution; for example, we don't walk around with huge gorilla arms because our species evolved mainly in brain function at the expense of physical factors. Other great apes just had different gene mutations that resulted in different traits.

Humans are not superior!
Quasi84 6 months ago
@Quasi84 It's true that we can't fly, don't have fangs, poison, thick protection, speed or size. But through our brains we have spread and "conquered". More importantly, we have invented technology that has enabled us to understand the workings of the universe.
smb12321 6 months ago
@smb12321 But still, it's easier if we could just fly by ourselves. Also, the universe is more complex than you can imagine. If you think you understand quantum mechanics then you do not understand quantum mechanics.

@Quasi84
I love you - coz you quoted Feynman, anyone quoting Feynman makes is like family to me. lol
superhamzah85 6 months ago
@Quasi84 I've never understood statements like that. "I don't understand something therefore it's not understandable." Yes, some aspects of quantum mechanics - an enormous field - seem contradictory, inexplicable & strange. Yet, as is the nature of science, tests have repeatedly confirmed these strange qualities.
I think along the lines of Einstein philosophically. I'd like a universe with an underlying mathematical purity - no dice playing!
Take Care
smb12321 6 months ago
@smb12321 I was quoting Richard Feynman with a bit of ironi.
And I'm not saying that something is understandable. I can live with "I don't know, but I care less since it doesn't effect my day to day life." which is unlike what religious people say. "I don't know, so God did it."
Just because I say "I don't understand" doesn't mean that "God did it", it means that we better look more into it. We've scratched the surface of what science has to offer.
Quasi84 6 months ago
@Quasi84 LOL. I apologize and I DID think you were one of those posters all starry eyed about the mysteries of supernatural beings. I too think we've only scratched the surface but the scientific illiteracy of people in general (it;s not better in other countries) makes explanations difficult.
smb12321 6 months ago

Evolution is such a beautiful and fascinating phenomenon, it's really too bad people let their religion and their pride for our species get in the way of investigating in. People want to feel like they're a part of something grand. What's grander than an unbroken lineage of successful life that has survived for billions of years? We are amazing, and it's because we have evolved, not because some god popped us into existence.

i find it amusing that people think humans are so evolved when most of our deaths are caused by our own species. drinking, smoking, car accidents, cancer caused by unhealthy food, lazyness, overpopulation, obesity, war (political/religious) and stupidity. yes humans are evolved and i think the human race are amazing but we have just as many, if not more flaws than most of our animal relatives. find another species who just sits around and eats and gets fat until it dies from a heart attack.
420simpson 1 year ago 35
@420simpson In a way, the fact that we can sit around and get fat and die from it is *due* to our success. We are the only species on the planet that isn't fighting desperately to get enough food to survive. Thanks to science, we have an overabundance of food. Granted some areas of the world are still starving, but that's more due to political or economic problems, not that we physically can't get enough food.
