  • this is so much better than the DUN DUN DUUUN. DUN DUN DUUUN. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNN one they had in the 90's.

  • @AndyDugganYT ah yes that gave me nightmares

  • I was soo scared of this! lol

  • They took it away in like 2004...

  • @HoshiNoKaabii2000 In 2009 actually lol

  • i miss those days of watching my teletubbies video when i was 3. it was the video collection ident i was scared of!

  • For some reason, when I was younger I was always scared of this...

  • This reminds me of watching DVDs a few years ago when I was about 5

  • why do I love this so much? :) thanks for uploading!

  • This always makes me think of DW

  • @pfchang65 Nope :)

  • The BBC DVDs are brilliant better than ITV DVD. Becouse BBC DVD is calm and ITV DVD is awkward my opinion

  • BBC has such classic themes/idents

    you got

    Match of the day

    Grandstand

    Sports Report

    BBC Video

BBC DVD .... you name them!

  • this one is like the only un-deppresing intro the bbc have made lol

  • Each time I hear this tone it always creeps me out since it's included in the Auschwitz documentary.

  • far better than the one before it..

  • BBC is 100x better than ITV and Sky.

  • When I was a kid, I am scared of this theme, and now, I still feel the creeps :/

  • much better then the one from 1996!

  • this has scared the absolute shite out of me for years, and i don't know why? :|

  • AHHH YES . a good afternoon well spent watching pingu

  • I'm just thinking right now that this would be a good windows startup sound and the old BBC one would be a good one for shutdown :D

  • really nice music :)

  • Yeah it reminds me of the Chipmunks

  • At least it's not some creepy music played by the Devil.

  • when i watch top gear dvds i think of david attenborough, but when i watch david attenborough i think of top gear dvds

  • @JJkarts lol

  • this reminds me of one of my teddytubbies video tapes

  • i perfer the one from the 1990s with the coloured lines.

  • I like this.

  • This is on the Planet Earth DVD

  • I love this intro. Much better than the previous creepy one lol :P

  • the ribbons remind me of the teletubbies

  • this waas also used as part of the teletubbies before the video started

  • i used to have this on a telletubbies dvd

  • I heard this on my Blackadder Goes Forth DVD.

  • I have this on my "Top Gear" season 10 DVD.

  • The sound is the best ever. :-)

  • Well its more uplifting than the VHS version!

  • whats the difference

  • @ClareAer helix254 is probably talking about the 1990-1997 ident that was pretty damn depressing

  • Sounds the same , and i loved it.

like as far as i can recall , and looking at the 'Related box' in the corner --------------->>> and seeing the BBC Video logo 1990 - 1997 i dont remember that type of indent but i do remember this one going back to 95 and up , watching Thomas and all those , and it really does sount the same as the DVD Indent .

  • The comemt above is for you .! but dvd's only have been out in the last 7-8 years. and i never bought dvds back in early 2000 - 02. and by 2002 i wasnt watching BBC . so if this indent doesnt go with the years or 95 + i dont know how i got to see this indent but yes i agree that other indent depressing ...

  • this was on big al

  • I have this one on two Absolutely Fabulous DVDs and on a video of S Club 7's TV show Miami 7 (now that's definitely going back a while).

  • You can find the bbc intro on

    dr who dvd's

  • I love that sound

  • I have seen this when i was the age that i watch the 2000 version of Postman Pat!

  • I remember seeing this on The young ones.

  • The old bbc logo was terrifying! This one used to be mildly haunting but not as much as the old one.

  • Is it the Harp that is playing the main chords??

Its a reflective tune that makes me sad when I'm about to watch, Are you being served?

  • I feel like I've heard this theme elsewhere. Has any other company used something similar?

  • i have it on an only fools and horses dvd

  • This ident kinda makes me feel calm.

  • @GWiifanboy what does ident mean?

  • @HDinstantreplay Station Identification :)

  • This intro isnt just for the DVD - Its the BBC video/DVD logo since 1997

  • To me the 80s and 90s IDs are classics and these will never have the "timeless" feel of the other ones as, Home Video was still revolutionary back then.

  • makes me think of when i was little, it was on my sisters videos like brum.

  • It'll have a job being on Brum. Brum was distributed by Central.

  • My mate would love this!

  • this wasnt as scary as the one before this

  • why do they take my pics down and not hers?

  • that was on my bob the builder playstation game!!

  • wonder if they will replace this as its been on vhs and dvds for quiet a while now

  • Still scares me, but less than that 'dododo - dododo - dododoooo....' one if you know what that's supposed to mean.

  • Do you mean the

    Bee Bee See

    Bee Bee See

    Bee Bee See

    one?

It was on my old Pingu videos and it used to scare me senseless!

  • Yes indeedy, that one! Are you the person who wrote those as the 'lyrics' on the video of it?

It reminds me of Pingu as well. And a Wallace & Gromit computer game I used to play.

  • No, of course not, but I just saw that and thought it would be the best way to describe it. No, I can't take the credit for that one. :)

I must say, I prefer this one, it's on my Steptoe and Son dvd, and I think it's quite relaxing.

  • brings back such memories! this was on the six wives of henry VIII

  • The music on here is relaxing. I'm not scared of this one like I am the old one! This is on my Steptoe and Son DVD. Love it!

  • i was scared of this aswell

  • i found this on fireman sams biggest video ever

  • this was also a VCR intro because when I was little I watched the teletubbys on VCR and I remember this popping up

  • this originally started out as a 4:3 aspect video, but the bbc stretched it into a 16:9 format, and didn't update it so the logo looks slightly squashed.

  • I love this intro.

  • I found this on my Robby the Reindeer DVD

  • the music ar god!! on bbc =)

  • I Have 2 admit that urz is better

  • How? There's only one difference between the two, and that's screen size.
