Thank God for your father. I lost my mother when I was 10. I used to listen to this song and cry for her to come back. Of course she didn't. Now that I am older, I still cry for her - 38 years later and I still listen to this song whenever I feel I have no one.

My father, anand bakshi, lost his mother when he was just 9, and he missed her all his life. i guess thats why he wrote many good songs on Mothers, like this one, and Tu Kitni Achi hai from raja Aur Rank, and Ma Tujhe Salaam, from Khal Nayak, and many others.
