depends on your system specs.Anything lower than 20 fps will not be a good experience.I play fs9 with good scenery addons,great planes and features and it's just like fsx but better fps.

replace all default planes with addon aircraft,and get a new ai (world of ai perhaps?) and the game is great.There are ground trafffic addons if you wish,but they cause major lag and are usually only in some parts of the world.

Try fsx if you have a expensive pc,if not.Stick to fs9.It can be good

Fps is Framerate per second.The bigger the framerate,the smoother the game will run.I'm pretty sure you watched some "unprofessional" fsx videos and noticed that the game wasnt running smoothly.That is because their fps is low because their computer is not good enough.

I did the math and this is actually the eleventh FS. Back on 95 a friend in school said he had FS6. I saw FS98 instores-version 7. I have FS2000-version 8. I also have FS2002-version 9. I saw in stoes FS2004-vesion 10. And now FSX cliams to be number ten but its actually the 11th. Explain that Miscrosoft!

i hate fsx. i really do. i tried to get into it a few times, but i just cant. it takes too long to load each flight, and its not very smooth; frames dont move very fast. this is both annoying, and takes the realism out of the flight simulator.

try that: reduce all grfx to low, then observe the frame rate. after that increase the grfx option one by one while keeping an eye to the frame rate. i idvise you to start with the general grfx options. whatever you do keep the resolution to 1024x768 and the antialiasing off. in the scenery grfx menu make sure not to increase the two bars in the right of the screen. they are related with the ground objects and are of the most power consuming features. it may take some time, but try it out.part1

The physics are crap, but the review goes on about how great the visuals are. Do a little test. Apply and hold full rudder when flying level. A real airplane will eventually complete a full 360 circle. Guess what happens in FSX...

Err no. My PC is OCd to 3.8Ghz, NV8800 GTX & 4gb of ram. FSX runs like shit because its basically the same engine as fs2000
