If it's private property you have absolutely NO rights to film inside the building. They can order you to stop filming, they can order you out of the building.

I am also an elevator photographer..we are a dying breed however, I will never stop my wonderful endeavors of elevator photography for all future generations to enjoy. Never let anyone stop you from photographing elevators. My father builds elevators and I will always film elevators. That is simply what I do...photograph elevators.

You were on a public sidewalk, doesnt mean you can take photos of private property, but then theres photographers rights, you have the right to photograph anything where reasonably privacy is not expected, i.e., filming your neighbors house is ok, but filming into your neighbors window is not.

So, how is asking you to leave and telling you he was going to call the cops a THREAT? You were in a Building that you did not own and was asked to leave, once you did. you went back in keeping the camera running to ask who it was that asked you to leave. then later, the police asked you several times to turn off the camera and yet you did not. FACT: the 9/11 events happened in part due to pictures and video taken of areas inside and outside the building. None accused you of being a terrorist

I am also an elevator photographer..we are a dying breed however, I will never stop my wonderful endeavors of elevator photography for all future generations to enjoy. Never let anyone stop you from photographing elevators. My father builds elevators and I will always film elevators. That is simply what I do...photograph elevators.

I'm wondering if you asked to photograph their elevators, or if you just walked in and started doing it? I didn't watch the entire video. Imagine you were at McDonalds and as you took your order, someone walks in kneels at the counter, looks upside down and starts taking pictures of the underside of the counter. Unusual. Suspicious, right? I can see how elevator photographing would be considered suspicious activity. Especially after seeing your fingernails at 14:45! Nasty!
