  • Cliff was probably like "Fuck... i could have done the solo better..." /continues headbanging

  • nice album cover, I wish they used that

  • This is the same recording as from Ron McGovney's '82 Garage Demo.

  • Woww!

  • just great... thanks to diamond head.

  • This is probably some shitty garage band claiming to be Metallica.

  • Dude, its metallica in their first try outs of the song, didnt you ever listen to their B sides?

  • Okay, I'll take your word for it.

  • @Flipper79able Nope, it's Metallica..This is what they sounded like Before Kill 'em All

  • i have to agree also, but for some reason i like metallica's demos better than the regular produced songs. Will you post the Blitzkrieg demo on here too?

  • Even though the quality sucks (sorry, but that had to be said), I just love Metallica demos for some reason.

  • same here

  • Same here, they just sound so raw!

  • agreed. id rather listen to this than some sugar-coated overproduced shitty metal band

  • Mustaine...

  • this is kirk playing..dave was kicked out..

  • This and "Blitzkrieg" did appear on Kill 'em All until 1993, I am fairly sure. I think Elektra had to delete this off the album b/c of copyright issues. But this version is a raw cut or some kind of demo. But hey - thanks for posting!!

  • Am I Evil and Blitzkrieg appeared on the 1988 re-issue of Kill ém all. They we're originally recorded in october 1984 for the B-side of the Creeping Death EP on Music for Nations. This version must be from 1982.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, on the 1988 Elektra reissue, it is.

  • @RideTheLightning728 no, it's not. this was a PRE-kill em all demo.

The 1988 Elektra reissue version was recorded professionally in the studio in 1984.

This was recorded on a cassette player..I'm pretty sure this was from the 82' Ron McGovney Garage Demo, but I could be wrong. it was from that era.

  • Well gee, you being a MetallicaFREAK and all, I would have at least assumed that you would know that originally, this track was supposed to be on Kill 'em All, but was taken off before it was issued; or at least that it was on the Kill 'em All reissue in 1988 by Elektra. What kind of Metallica Freak are you?

  • Metallica's studio-version was first recorded in 1984. This demo was never planned for Kill 'em All.

  • Holy shit dude, do your fucking research. They've been playing this song since at least 1982. There are videos and audio recording of them playing this back when McGovney was in the band, and Mustaine. Yeah, the studio version on Garage Inc. disc 2 wasn't recorded until 1984, but it was planned that this song was going to be on Kill 'em All at first. Don't talk like you know something until you've got your facts straight, please.

  • the vocal is james ??

  • Yeah, he was trying to sing like Sean Harris I think. Failed, but it does sound awesome.

  • This is Hetfield

  • faggot on the loose

    v

    v

    v

  • latexshit loves musgays cock

  • LOL, 1:14, epic failure and people say that Mustaine is better than Hammett and yet he fucked up something as simple as that.

  • thats right, kirk owns that fag musgay

  • hell yea

  • @JosephCarmine sure he is

  • @xs1096 dude everybody makes mistakes like kirk overusing his wah pedal

  • o_O If you have this HD audio program, It's like Realtek audio manager, forgot what it is. But anyway, if you use it, tune the audio down one step and the vocals sound almost EXACTLY like diamondhead!

  • is this dave mustaine playing lead? sounds like b4 hammett. also soudns liek daves old bc rich.also sounds like b4 cliffs time

  • It's Ron 'n Dave. 1982. This was back before they were really doing originals aside from like "Hit The Lights".

  • yeh i thought so! actually dave had written jump in the fire by this point too!

  • Actually, "Jump In The Fire" was a Panic song, as was "Mechanix (Horsemen)". So Dave was playing these songs before Metallica even. Unfortunately, there are no Panic demos and half the band died in a car wreck. But yeah I think "Fire" was their second original. I believe "Lights" and "Fire" were the only originals on this demo. The others were Diamond Head covers.

  • yeah mustaine did write them before metallica. the track list to this demo was Hit The Lights Jump In The Fire Killing Time (Sweet Savage) Let It Loose (Savage) Sucking My Love (Diamond Head) The Prince (Diamond Head) Am I Evil? (Diamond Head) Helpless (Diamond Head) i have them all converted to mp3 except for helpless which i cannot find!
  • I have something somewhere stating that "Killing Time" and "Let It Loose" was a whole other demo they recorded to get a gig, but probably done in or around the same time, in Ron's Garage.

  • they're definetly on rons 82 garage demo! i looked it up on. i know wikipedia can be wrong but iv eseen it in other places! the only demo they did before that was the metal massacre it the lights!

  • no he didnt.he also gets a small credit .not for all killthem all songs just afew and two songs from ridethelightning(not full song)

  • faggot

  • go suck kirk hammets cock somewhere else mate!

  • i may fuck your mom instead

  • oh well done. how original. RETARD!

but then again how cud u be original wen ur a kirk faggett fan?

  • i know...

thats why i want the demo version of kill em all (A.K.A - METAL UP YOUR ASS!)

  • man!

where the hell you find metal up your ass?!

please! can you give me a link to the donwload? PLEASE!

  • Metal up your ass is what kill em all was originally named...

  • you can totally tell he tryed singing like sean harris in this...... ahh its a cool demo though, wish the bass could sound better but hey.

  • 2000 views...whats wrong with everybody!?!

  • I'm the 666th view... so Am I fucking evil?? Yes I AM

  • wow, it's cool and old ! sounds great !!

  • i hear to much of the bass, but who cares.ALL HAIL CLIFF.

  • thats ron mcgovney on bass, he sounds like a beginner. no way this is cliff.

  • you can tell that its ron cause of all the over accented notes whenever it gets a little quick, you'll almost NEVER hear that from an experienced bassist unless its a sound they're going for, the odd exception

  • i know its ron,i just think and know cliff is the best,i didnt really know that much about ron except that he quit because dave poured beer down his bass neck and it shocked him.

  • Dave was an ass as a person but a god as a musician..

  • thats true.

  • lol dave really screwed on the solo...I bet he passed out the moment they finished the song.

    thx for uploading!

  • He was probably fucking hammered out of his mind.
