It happened during a flight to Tokyo for the supporting tour for his record Odyssey, which was released in 1988. The tour occurred for several months over 1988 and 1989. Malmsteen fell asleep on the flight and was awoken by a woman pouring a jug of iced water on him. Enraged, he twice shouted "You've released the fucking fury!" (which has since often been misinterpreted as "unleashed"). (-:
