The rear wing really makes a big difference, you see more overtaking because of it. I just wish they would add more DRS activation zones so the drivers can use it more frequently.
Its amusing that Red Bull were not so exact when it came to designing and building their own KERS system. An article written at the start of the season predicted the problems some teams would have with it. (suite101.com/content/formula-one-is-kers-a-blessing)"
I don't get how such a small team owned by a god damn drinking company can dominate F1 like this, I mean it's already third season when they are a top team starting to dominate in the end of 2009... well, I know the the reason, they got Adrian Newey but how? Ferrari or McLaren could pay him twice or three times more...
KERS only supports untalented drivers - see Sebastian, he wins even without that dumm gimmick. KERS sucks as well as the rearwing rule - Ecclestone shouldn't support all the untalented drivers just for his own financial benefit!
Since F1 is downsizing to 1.6 litres (with turbo) in 2013 and going green I hope we could see an even great use of the KERS or hybrid system, with a larger capacity battery and a more powerful electric motor. F1 could even achieve ZERO EMISSION racing by going pure electric at low speed sections :)...!!!!!!!
@ale03000 except f1 is supposed to be fast and exciting, not slow and quiet. not to mention how many pit stops they would need to make per race to replace batteries, having dozens of precharged batteries waiting in the pit would be the only effective way of producing enough power for an f1 race (i know thats not what your talking about but im thinking long term), and even thats an optimistic view of technology way down the road. but hey, thats fine with me because im more of a rally fan.
@JSnyder49428 Electric cars are quiet but not necessarily slow, like the Tesla Roadster (0-100km in just 3.9 seconds) :]. We'll run out of fuels eventually so we need to think of alternatives to continue racing already.
@ale03000 thats fast for a road car yes but f1 is just a whole new level. This is just my opinion, but i think we'll be using alternative energy for road cars while the price of gas will get so high that it will practically be reserved for racing like this, and by then common engines will be so efficient that we wont need to worry about the amount of fuel left until we arent even racing cars anymore, but some sort of star wars lookin things.
I like the variable wing angle for overtakes but I've never liked the "boost button" concept. It seems too much like a gimmick than real racing. I know F1 wants to keep the field closer together and encourage overtakes but they just need to help out the other struggling constructors to make it more competitive rather than give them even harder R&D projects.
Haha, this is silly. The Red Bulls aren't allowed to race each other.

@porousorifice i actually made a mistake, the front wing is no longer adjustable , this year it is only the rear wing.
