BREAKING NEWS: CTV has reached a deal on April 30, 2009, to sell two of its 'A' stations in Windsor, Ontario, Wingham, Ontario, along with CKX in Brandon, Manitoba, for $1.00 each to Shaw Communications (pending CRTC approval).
It's gone now. :-( RIP, New Day, A-Channel Morning, A Morning for London, Barrie and Victoria. But we keep 6 & 11 news.
Although Ottawa still keeps their A Morning, they lose 6 & 11 news.
It sucks! Plus CHWI-TV (Windsor) and CKNX-TV (Wingham) will shut down completely by August 31, 2009, the expiry of their licences that parent company CTVglobemedia isn't renewing. If you're reading this AFTER 08/31/2009, I'm sorry. :-(
So when A-Barrie discontinues Citytv Toronto's Breakfast Television and start producing their morning show "A-Morning" will "Cityline" also be discontinued on the "A" stations as well too at the same time?
CP24 in Toronto is also now owned by CTVglobemedia, I think they will have to discontinue Breakfast Television and CityNews. Do you know what will happen next to that station?

Breakfast Television is also a Citytv Toronto production which is now owned by Rogers.
Both, A (formerly A-Channel} and CP24 are now owned by CTVglobemedia, both stations are now a competition.

Cityline is a Citytv production which is now owned by Rogers. A Channel is now owned by CTVGlobemedia, so no, they are now competition.

which will be called A-Morning due to the A-Channel Re Branding
