  • no freaking inspects your watch when meeting you, so just buy a fake, it looks the same from afar.

  • @loyalrobot If it 'looks the same from afar' then forget the fakes entirely and get a decent legal homage that doesn't claim to be a Rolex (or Panerai, Breitling, etc). I have two legal homages - one Nautec NoLimit that looks just like a Rolex GMT Master II, and one Parnis that looks just like the Panerai Marina Militare. As long as no intellectual property rights are infringed, you have the look; and no harm done. :o)

  • 1 good reason to stick with replicas:

    - Why paying 100times more for a stainless steel case and standard quartz or automatic movement, if you can get the same stainless steel and gears for the price it really costs. Stop overpaying because of a name. - And maybe stick to laboratory stones, they don't force african kids to go mining.

  • What kind of asshole wants to spend this kind of money on a fucking watch? What kind of asshole has this much money to spend on a watch? A vain asshole. One of those asshole 1%ers.

  • if it looks that close to the original...then I want a fake one.

  • rolex's are so overpriced

hublot's cost more but at least your getting something unique and beautiful out of it

  • The fake one is the best one! The real one is for suckers who want to spend over 9 grand on a watch that no one but them gives a shit about.

  • The biggest tell isn't even anything visual. Listen to the way the bezel clicks. First one = real, solid, subtle clicks. Second one = gritty, pathetic, loud clicking. Throw it in the trash compactor.

  • the third one is fake cause it's clear

  • 2nd fake, u can tell by the cyclops

  • 2nd is fake one

  • Like playing a game of ISPY.

  • Where can I buy fake one ? please tell me...

  • 2nd is the genuine

  • "why not have a fake."

Because counterfeit watches are illegal and they fund organized crime and they are lousy watches compared to the quality of real watches that the same money will buy.

The only reason to buy a fake watch is to make yourself look like something or someone you are not.

A real Casio is better than any fake at any price, because it is honest.

  • @GradyPhilpott And just what is it your supposed to be if you have the "real" watch?

  • The lobes that protect the crown are different as well. Lets be honest though, if your going for look and no so much on investment value.... why not have a fake.

  • 2nd is real

  • 2nd is real

  • second 1

  • Apparently this model came in both 3 & 5 ticks, so thats not relevant.

Looking at a promo photo of an LV, the 1st watch matches, the 2nd doesnt.

    1. Larger diameter hour markers: 1st yes, 2nd no.

    2. Tight font spacing of word "Rolex": 1st yes, 2nd no

    3. 12 oclock marker almost touching crown logo: 1st yes, 2nd no

    4. Word "date" starts immediately after the X from "Rolex": 1st yes, 2nd no.

    5. Subtle minute markers on dial: 1st yes, 2nd no.

    6. Normal looking caseback and teeth: 1st yes, 2nd no.

  • @imthegiant <Knows his stuff.

  • the 2nd one is really real. Look how it's bezel works :)

  • i wear fakes but I'm real!!!

  • Only way to really know is to open the mechanism and being an expert. Even experts have a hard time on some specific models that we're copied so well. Personally i would buy a fake i really don't care i think fakes are a great things as long as you don't get ripped off!

  • So fucking easy!!!

The 2nd one's a fake because the real rolex magnify 2X of the date and it pops right out

The 2nd magnifies only 1.5X look closely you can still see the frame of the date; the real one is all covered with numbers

  • the first one was real easy !!!

  • The second is probably real if I have to guess. The first one doesn't make a clicking sound when he moves the bezell which it should do on a real Sub.

  • one on right has etching in crystal and seal on back

  • Comment removed

  • Non of them is real, how couldn't you see it

  • both are FAKE. Cause I heard Chinese news in the background

  • The first is fake. The second is real. Stamps on the inside of clasp and braclet are a dead give away. Plus the second hand on the second ticks more like a Rolex and the metal is more polished than the first. However, I would never put money on a video observation.

  • I see no difference in the movement though....then again I'm new at this.

  • If one is for sure real it is the left one. Some people may see a difference in the magnification of the cyclops, it's very slight but the left one is slightly more magnified.

The reason I used for my justification is that the white markers on the left one are larger and look more like the genuine photos of the LX model I've seen.

The real give away in my opinion is how the bezel marks line up with the minute ticks on the face. The right one seems a bit off, whereas the left one is perfect.

  • Left one is real. Why? Because of the magnification of the date. Fakes never get it right. Plus the 2nd one is still "Ticking".

That aside, that 2nd one is mighty close.

  • both are fake

  • NEED TO SEE THE BAND, THEY BOTH LOOK FAKE TO ME

  • First one is fake. Notice the little crown symbol at the six o'clock on the second watch

  • LOL! They are both fake because I hear chinese people chatting in the background.. However, they are both high quality replica's for sure.

  • @Dark0Temptation The replica does not posses for sure.

  • unless you plan on pawning it or leaving it for your kids to pawn whypay $5000 more at the end of the day... they both tell the same time

  • @ace22lab to show off youre rich

  • I owned one in '78. It was the lousiest watch I ever owned. Couldn't keep accurate time. The stupid bracelet would just pop open, every time I'd dive with it. An expensive piece of crap.

  • OK iwatch001, which one is real? I'm guessing the second one just because of the Rolex hologram sticker on the back.

  • Then 2nd Rolex is a Replica

  • The real Rolex is the first.

    But the resemblance is amazing...

  • 1st one is real

  • I say 1st one is real because the number in the sight window looks a little bigger.

  • Comment removed

  • fist real second fake ....look at the bracelets on the second it's all lose and on the first it's very tight and sharp

  • 2nd one fake. pearl is bad and movement choppier

  • tbh I would be happy with either

  • The 12'oclock triangle has a sticker that is misaligned on the second. Fake but good one.

  • the first is real

  • the second is real. it has that rolex crown engraved in the crystal glass

  • @ACampbell1001 It should be impossible to see at this resolution. It's really hard to find. The second one is a bag of shit for several reasons.

  • the first is the fake. look how scratched up that junk is.

  • @mmalsucrazy scratches happen. and the first one is real. :D

  • Second is fake, the bezel doesn't even line up properly with the 12 mark. Never heard of a Rolex with a misaligned bezel.

  • @TheExoticInsider the bezel rotates.

  • @TheExoticInsider Yes the bezel can be misaligned on a real one. You are right though, the second one is fake assed shit.

  • second is fake the magnifier is 1.5 instead of 2

  • @ZachDangle Just goes to show how realistic the fakes are. The second one is the real one.

  • They're both real.

  • can i have the fake one then??? plz =D

  • only only have to note the postion of the hands to the hour and second markers to know the one on the left is the real deal

  • Its funny that you swirl the watch around at points of significance which would blatantly dignify if the watch is truly a Rolex. The engravings on the band and buckle are usually sure shots to deem authenticity. I'd say the first one is real. Everything on a Rolex is crafted to perfection and the second watch has a few blemishes. Not only does the date clearly fail to adequately magnify to 2.5x, but the whole precision of the bubble is off. But I must say they are making amazing fakes.

  • I really think both are fake IMO, if you think that the right one is real, you should have it checked out because the clasp looks like cheap Chinese stainless... and the holographic stickers on the back are commonly faked nowadays.

  • The one on the left is fake, actually really they might both be fake, but if they are both fake, the one on the left is the cheaper one.

With most dive watches, IE: Omega PO, Rolex Subs , its not worth it to buy the real thing unless you actually go diving at which point a 300$ citizens/invicta/seiko will do the same thing.

IMO Rolex is tacky anyway.... Breitling/Omega are the only watches with style to them.

  • the second watch had a serial number on the sticker...the motion did not not look as smooth, though. I have been in shanghai and bought an initation bulova that fooled a swiss watch maker back home. I don't know. does anybody? where is the answer??

  • their both fake

  • looking att his again, the first one doesn't look right - word 'Date' is too far to the right. The bracelet interior doesn't have markings and detail on clasp isn't great. Someone who owns the genuine Anniv Sub will know

  • @TheRolexGuru The large spacing in the text is normal from what I've seen with LVs (normal Subs have less spacing). The video uploader actually had a video showing the movement uploaded at one point. It was 100% a 3135 movement. I even matched the scratches on the bracelet and it was the same watch. Strange how there is no part number for the bracelet. Maybe it isn't visible with the quality of the vid?

  • and the crown.. also different.. The right one is over crown.. But the left a bit in side.

  • There is a different between the line in 6 and 9 line.. Left is bigger and the right one is thin.

  • Left is real. Right is fake. Give me the Left ROlex.. ! plzzzzz.. If u rich give me the left rolex. If u poor give me the right fake rolex.. Even a fake rolex it to expensive for me. ^^

  • @alexmaria188 > "If u poor give me the right fake rolex".....never met a poor guy with a real Rolex......

  • id say the second one is the real rolex because it is more detailed including the raised white dot on the bezel.

  • 2nd one appears finer/more detailed.its real?not sure but thats my guess.

  • they are both FAKE...

  • I agree. I just looked at the video again. They are both REAL. I can actually see them, in his hands! ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • they're both real!!!!

  • first one is real

  • 1 fake 2 real

  • The first is real. I can tell by just looking at the cyclops.

  • They both look fake to me. :)

  • The 1st one is real. The cg's on the 2nd are wrong and the 6:00 etched crown is way too pronounced.

  • The second one is real. The LV is the ONLY Submariner where at the 6 o'clock position, the words SWISS MADE span and touch 5 minute markers. This is known as a "5 ticks" dial. ALL other Submariners have their words SWISS MADE touch only 3 minute markers, thus they are known as having 3 tick dials. If you see an LV for sale with a "3 tick" dial, it is a fake. If you see a standard SS Submariner 16610 model (non LV) that has a 5 tick dial, it is a fake.

  • @gr8mtn The first one is real. Everything i your copy/paste is true though. Well done.

  • WOw.. Hard to tell.. But I hope I got the replica for $10. The original is wayyyy to expensive. ^^ I like the milguass

  • The 2nd one is the fake, your a total noob if you cant tell. All real Rolex watches is made perfect witch the 2nd one isnt.

  • The left is original!

  • Or my video rated 99% haha

  • I didn't even notice you switched them

  • Second one is fake as can be. The second hand lollipop is way too big, the bezel clicks incorrectly. On that model, the little crown engraved in the crystal is damn near impossible to see. Also, the crown on the crown doesn't always line up vertically with the watch.

  • left one is real... my dad owned 2 of them... the date magnification has to be 2.5x and its quite clear to see the date! Real rolex has nothing writen on the back of it its just smooth clear surface and if you remove the belt theres a serial number of the watch there :)

  • When he turns the bezel of the first one, you can hardly hear the 'thicking' sound. Plus it has a lot of scratches, which means low quality steel. Also the rolex logo should be upright on the crown ;)

  • @nielzy92 LOL The crown rarely points the correct way. 904L stainless scratches as much as any other stainless steel and is not noticably harder. Your analysis is completely wrong.

  • @ColonelAllan I just personally prefer pointing the rolex logo upwards. Imo it just looks sloppy otherwise. Furthermore 904l ss is definitely more scratch resistant than the ss they would use to make a 100$ chinese knockoff. Btw what would your analysis be, if I may ask?

  • @nielzy92 Most of these good Rolex replicas cost $300-$500. For some watch models like the Hublot Big Bang in ceramic it's $1,000+. A few even have Swiss ETA movements.

  • after 2002 Rolex Watches have @6 o'clock position a little crown emblem in the crystal

  • 1st watch is a replica, 2nd one is real. The real Rolex has the signature green holographic sticker on the case back, and you can even see the small Rolex logo etched into the 2nd watch at the 6 o'clock position in the video. Also the band: The 904L band barely has a scratch compared to the replica.

As for the 2nd "sounding like a toy": It sounds that way because the bezel is harder to turn as it clicks into position. Something you don't want to happen on accident when diving.

  • @allornothing1389 Someone who does not know what they are talking about. The 1st watch is real. The green holograms can be bought by the sheetload for relatively cheap and then stuck on the back of any shitty watch, which the 2nd watch clearly is. You should not be able to see the logo on the crystal at this resolution. The rehaut is sloped like a wok on the second watch. The second markers are too long etc. You've obviously never owned or handled a Submariner LV.

  • @ColonelAllan You were right about one thing: The green holograms can be found other places. Apart from that you're pretty cocky.

"You've obviously never owned or handled a Submariner LV" - Very wrong

  • @allornothing1389 Not at all. I was right about everything. I would be surprised if you'd owned an LV because you thought the one that looks completely wrong in the video was the real one. You mustn't have spent much time looking at it.

  • The Fake is on the right (second watch) because: The Markers at 3 and 9 o'clock are too thin, The Rolex font is wrong. The distance between the 12 o'clock mark and the crown is too long. The individual second marks are too thick. On the bezzle, the 0 and the 4 are touching the edge. First link at the bottom of the second watch bracelet has some sort of number etched in it (the real one on the left does not). It's hard to tell but I don't think that the cyclops on the right magnifies as much.

  • first one is fake

  • Ching! Chong! Ching! Chong! Why DO Asians HAVE to copy EVERYTHING???? There's about 3 billion of them, surely they must be able to INVENT something ORIGINAL themselves!

  • 2nd is real. 1st, a good replica!

  • @elraJdnalelliLNOR You are wrong.

  • 2nd one is crap, the sound of rotation is like toy car

  • 2nd piece is the real deal

  • @ASAGA01 You are wrong.

  • 1:21 there is a number on the inner links. Do you think the 2nd one is real?

  • @ColonelAllan Breitling aside as I do not consider it of the same caliber.

I would pick them over a Rolex any day as ETA movement is on par with Rolex, which I genuinely believe is probably made by ETA anyway.

I guess it's because of the fact unless you are into watches all the others are completely understated.

I can wear a £2000 speedmaster or a £4000 Panerai and no one would be the wiser.

The opposite of the people who buy expensive watches to flash in peoples faces.

  • The first one is real people. A lot of misinformed people commenting here. If you are offered these two watches pick the first one for Christ's sake.

  • noobmariner???

  • Biggest giveaway is the crown guard !!!!

  • Both fake.

  • Ok guys, both watches are fake. Firstly, the commentary on the Chinese TV show started the alarm bells ringing. And if you look closely you will notice that both these watches do not have multiple instances of the name "Rolex" inscribed on the side of the bezel. A real Rolex Submariner Date watch has these. And then of course there are the little differences which are harder to spot but one would be able to tell by eye, ie quality of materials, character spacing etc... Both fake guys!

  • @MagnificentKot Oh and why would one have a sticker (a hologram) on the back? That's an obviously giveaway it's a fake. I mean, the sticker would peal off if one dives regularly. And if you're still in doubt, check out the Rolex website and view the Submariner pdf.

    Both fake!!

  • @MagnificentKot The repeated ROLEXROLEXROLEX rehaut engraving was only introduced to Submariners in 2007. Prior to that date they did not have it. it's not the bezel by the way, it's engraved on the inside of the watchcase...under the sapphire crystal. The first one is real by the way. The second one...on the right is the fake...with its wok-shaped rehaut. Best to know what you're talking about before commenting...

  • @ColonelAllan Thank you for that. I thought the hologram sticker on the back was similar to the one I had on my watch, ie it was stuck on permanently. I didn't realise it was meant to be taken off before use.

That being said, both these watches are fake.

  • @MagnificentKot No the left one is quite real. There is nothing fake about it.

  • @ColonelAllan Perhaps you can tell me, from which year was the Rolex logo engraved into the product near where the number 6 should be?

  • @MagnificentKot I think you mean the LEC (laser etched coronet) It was added to all Rolex crystals from 2001, though the Milgauss GV has never had it. It is nearly impossible to see with the naked eye.

  • @ColonelAllan Thanks for that and yes, that's exactly what I meant. You did a good job at decyphering my words. :-) It's a shame we can't see it in this video but like you say, it's most difficult to see with the naked eye.

Ok, the second one is most definitely a fake. I think we're agreed on that. I'm wavering on the first one though but seeing as though you know more about me on this subject (and I'm most happy to admit that) I'll go with you on this one. The first one's real.

  • @MagnificentKot I know it is real because I've seen another video by the same guy that showed inside it. It was 100% the correct Rolex 3135 movement. He seems to have removed that video now to keep people guessing, but there is nothing about the first watch to suggest that it is fake from this video.

  • @MagnificentKot There are people (such as myself) who dislike the cluttered looking rim engraving who buy watches just before they started engraving them. None of mine have the ROLEXROLEXROLEX but are otherwise identical. All of the new ceramic watches have it however. There are no Rolex watches without it produced today. It is not the be all end all though since there are fakes that have it too.

  • @ColonelAllan I'm going with you with this one but only on the basis that the watch shown in the video is older than 2007 when ROLEXROLEXROLEX was introduced. Otherwise, I'll have to say both are fake. Either which way, ColonelAllan, thank you for enlightening me on this subject. I've learnt something today.

  • @MagnificentKot The green hologram caseback sticker is there to protect the caseback from scratches from the clasp until sale. These stickers are real Rolex but can be bought so they're no indication of authenticity as anyone can stick them on any watch. Fake or otherwise. Sorry I just don't like people spreading misinformation and perhaps leading someone to get ripped off with a fake watch.

  • poor audio

  • Frist one is fake!

  • Well the 1st one is real, you can tell by the pearl on the bezel... the replicas can't ever get it right

  • I think the first one's the real one. If he has enough money for a real I don't think he'd wear the fake all that often. Hence the scratches on the real one.

    ?

  • No no no... you noobs.

the first 1 is fake because of all the scratches on it.

the second is real because it has no scratches, its a quality watch, so its the real rolex

  • @MARTINLARSENF0X Obviously you haven't owned a Rolex for more than a couple years... they stainless steel scratches just as much as any stainless steel. However most owners send their watches in to be refurbished every 3-6 years... this not only removes the scratches, but makes sure the movement is staying accurate & water tight

  • Rolex - AP - VC - JLC - PP - that all doesn`t play any role. If you have a fake on your wrist - you will be remembered the everyday that you don`t have the money to get a real one. Fake watch for fake people

  • The first one is real, the second is fake.

  • first one is fake!! haha

  • first one is fake - Etched crown in glass is missing, no rolex hologram at the back. The bezel doesn't sounds right.

  • @hbuxx Real Submariners do not have holograms. You have it backwards. The etched glass should not be visible to the naked eye.

  • When my video have been view 500,000 I will tell which one is the real one. and tell the didffrance . Ha Ha

  • @iwatch001

See you in about a year then!!

  • @iwatch001 Both are fake!!! i'm missing the letters "Rolex" on the inside Ring.....nice try

  • @yushi213 The first one is real. The ROLEXROLEXROLEX rehaut engraving was only introduced to Submariners in 2007. Prior to that date they did not have it.

  • @yushi213 Rolex on the inside ring is only on watches after 2008

  • @iwatch001 so at the current rate of views in about 3 years time?

  • I have to admit, the fake is hard to spot. The movements of both watches match.

  • I DON'T BUY FAKE WATCHES. This shit makes me SICK.

I own a Citizen Ecodrive Skyhawk Blue Angels, an Omega Speedmaster Pro (moonwatch) and a Breitling Emergency. The last watch I invest in will be the Omega X33. But, I WOULD NEVER BUY FAKE.

You can keep your watch in a jewel box and it will hold it's value.

  • @bigtruckseriesreview any real watch is a better choice than a fake.

  • both fake, chinese people talking behind you

  • The fakes have really improved, most of your are right, but do you not think the movement is of greater importance

  • I have an Invicta that a jeweler sat beside a "real" Rolex with the green bezel and from a distance at a glance it, the Invicta, looked very close to the real one. Just saying.

  • @chrisnzella The Invicta is meant to look that way, Seiko makes one along with Orient as well. The Submariner is the most commonly emulated watch.

  • You can tell the second one if fake from the cyclopse window, it doesn't magnify the date to 2.5x

  • so basically if you buy this watch, it's most likely cus you want people to see that you have a rolex, or because it looks good. the copy, looks exactly like the real thing, it's cheaper and performs just as well.. no one's gonna know it's fake..
