This looks like a good home but you're right the residents are territorial-& rightly so. Here, some people have to sell their homes to afford care. Everyone should be given more, esp. the elderly, they should be exempt from paying when they've worked all their lives.

I suppose as you get older you get less concerned by the reaction of other people to your behaviour. Embarrassment becomes less of a concern and any consequences of your actions don't really matter as you feel that you will be dead soon anyway. What can they do with the perpetrater? they can't really lock her up in high security.

As for blaming the nursing home, what the hell are you people on? They can't watch all resident every minute and confiscate every plastic bag "just in case" Get real!

Old people should not be put in nursing homes, unless their is no way their off spring can take care of them. The evil nursing home is negligent, gross negligent, reckless endangerment, not enough staff, intentional misconduct, neglect, ect.

There's some nursing homes that are as you say, "evil". But a lot of them are good, well maintained homes where the residents receive a better degree of care and love than they would receive from their own children.

People are very territorial in nursing homes. Go visit one and you will see. They lost their dignity and then their space. What was an irascible patyient doing with a plastic bag? I feel for both of these poor souls.

This is strange. Two people who, by all natural expectation, should already be dead. Though tragic, it is hard to look upon this as anything more than a toddler killing another toddler. A horrible way to go, for both of them, after long lives. It's just a terrible thing that, for some reason, makes me feel sorry for us all.
