Kevin Costner is the worst actor of his generation. He delivers no emotional depth at all. He is hollow and plastic. A stranger off the street could have done a more believable job in that scene.
Rispondi a questo video... In the U.S. should make a film that speaks of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino .. The heroes who destroyed the Mafia!! Enough with Capone, Riina, Messina Denaro. I first have to be ITALIAN man is a citizen of the world and hate all the gangs!! However beautiful film Bellissimo
It's just a fucking movie ladies and gentlemen enjoy it. It is true that Eliott Ness roughed things up with Capone's Liquor business, that's Fact 1. Fact two there was a separate practice from the original untouchables designed to take Capone down for any income tax evasion. Fact three despite all that, Capone and Ness nor any of the untouchables have ever met Capone in person unless they all attended the Trial. Fact four despite that this scene is for purpose of drama only.
I have to laugh at all the psuedo-intellectuals who think they're positing some sort of new information to the masses by saying "This didn't happen!"
No, shit, your sanctimonious little faggots. It's called historical fiction. The fact is that the Untouchables DID cause havoc and chaos with Capone's regime, even though it was the IRS that ended up getting him.
Enjoy a fucking movie for what it is, for Christ's sake.
read your history children - elliot ness had virtually zero to do with capones downfall - the fact is he wasnt in the courthouse at capones hearing and had nothing to do with it. shame - made a good story eh - the accountant hired by hoover brought capone down.
@shadley35 When you make the movie make sure you add dramatic flair and weighty character development to the accountant who sat long nights reading debits and credits in the account books. Instead of the baby falling down the stairway, you can have a scene where Hoover's agent almost spills his ramen noodles on his files.
It's a great film about legends. Who ever said legends were completely true--at least the emotions they stir are true.
This scene was shot at the university I currently attend: Roosevelt University. Ever since this scene was shot, that staircase has been known as "The Untouchable Staicase." Capone did have a suite at that building when it was a hotel. The movie people sure did use alot of props there. We don't have that red carpet, plants, or candlabras on the staircase.
@yamba01 a! I knew it looked familiar, but of course it was filmed in the late 80's and they had to dress it up to make it look like it did in the 30's. The Auditorium building. I graduated in 2009 and would hang on that very floor all the time.
