I've encountered A LOT of games that are similar to monster hunter. This is one of them, but it does have its own unique features that doesn't give you the feeling that you are playing a Monster Hunter ripoff. I will definitely try it.

Your listed "Pros" aren't so good. You see, "Fast, Quick easy to learn gameplay" is bullshit. Super Metroid's gameplay isn't easy to learn, Godhand is fast, Winning Eleven is slow, yet they are all very good titles. Your "Cons" too, because "stealing" a formula isn't necessarily bad, and "too linear" ... is Super Mario Bros. 3 a bad game for you? And not all good games have a story. You should try to review really old titles, just so you learn more about the medium, because that was ... lacking.
